Love being able to watch Netflix on my TV cast from my iPad! The guys at BestBuy advised me this was the best product to use for my TV (it is not a smart TV). It was very easy to set up & works great. I will probably cut back on my cable premium channels now & reduce my cable bill.

I was thinking about getting an Apple TV for some entertainment purpose. And i did my research online and found out this tiny guy, Chromecast, which is amazing. Ease of set up and use and low price make it the best living room video streaming device. All you need to do is set it up and tap the youtube or hulu plus or other supported apps on your smart devices like iphone, android phone or ipad or android tablets, and click the cast bottom in the app and thats it. Watch youtube or other videos on the big screen! Also it can streaming your chrome's content onto your tv and thats so convience. It is totally worth to buy. Also the chromecast's OS is based on Android. so maybe in the future, we can convert it to a smallest android console and maybe we can play android games on it. Huge potential on it and at least i believe it.

It is a great little product to cast your media from you PC or mobile device, be it that you have supported applications on them. The only thing I would wish it had is the ability to use it as it's own stand alone device, similar to Roku. So far, I've had no issues with it and highly recommend it.

I bought it hoping to share photos to a TV from my iPhone but it does not work well with Apple products. I was able to control Netflix and Youtube from my phone but I already have a remote control for a Blue Ray player that does that. All of the other functions of Chrome Cast are useless on an Apple product. It was very easy to set up. It works through your WiFi system. It needs an external power source such as a USB port on your TV or a DC power supply that plugs into a regular wall outlet. Both needed cables come with the Chrome Cast. It seems like a good product at a great price but does not cross platforms well so ultimately I returned it since I have Apple phones and tablets in my home.

I use it to watch Netflix streaming from my computer on my big screen TV. Works great. No buffering issues. Works with youtube too. Plugs right into hdmi port on TV, then go to Google Chrome on your PC, Ipad, phone, etc.. and follow 2 minute setup directions. EASY!

Bought this to play you tube videos. I was hoping it play my favorites, but instead ask me to create another list, which I did and still does not play multiple songs. Great for if you are playing one song at a time. Picture quality is great.

Did not know how this worked before purchasing. It piggybacks off of what is installed on your phone and you "cast" it to the TV. Be sure that you are on wifi so you don't chew up all of the data on your phone plan if that is how you are using the product. Otherwise, content, picture quality, etc are good.

I have two, very easy to use, great if you don't have a smart tv.

This is a great device. I bought it hoping I could eliminate some of the wires and clutter that comes with technology, wrong. To my knowledge this still needs to be connected to a power supply. With that aside, the devise is great, streams Netflix smoothly, and doing work on a TV screen is very convenient.

Set up was very easy. Picture looks great. I would recommend this.

The Chromecast is a great little invention. Its cheap and gives you the ability many only dreamed of a couple years ago. That time has come and it lets you share your phones screen, pictures, etc. Sadly for being around a while now there still is a lack of support with APPS. There aren't many but that could probably be blamed with the many devices out that compete with it such as Roku, Apple TV and even Smart TV's. If they had alot more support to really stand out then I would recommend it to everyone regardless if they have Smart TV or not.

We bought the Chromecast in order to show videos to my wife's 90 year old mother on the TV. She is a non-English speaker and this allows us to find and display shows she can watch and understand. We find the shows on UTube or from emails from friends. It works great, is easy to install and use. I recommend it to anyone looking for this kind of usage.

Installed very easily, great picture quality, no jitter or freezing, small size conceals well, very low price point. This unit added some smart TV features to my 10 year old dumb TV.

This thing saves me a lot of time, trouble and money from not having to burn my movies to disk from my external hard drive. It took a while to figure out how to play them off my external through my Chromebook. But once I found the right thing to put in the address bar ( "file:///media/" for Chromebook's), I haven't had much of a problem with it. On a couple of occasions, it had lagged while playing a show from my external. But so far, I have not had a problem streaming video from the web or Netflix. Very well worth the money. I will definitely be getting another one to go on my projector when I set up my home theater. I would have given it 5 stars if it weren't for the occasional lag.

This is a great product for such a low price. It works without any lag or disconnect. Its a must have cast for tech or anyone looking to watch on big screen. Highly recommended!
