I use this device with my phone while using Showbox. When I'm not using show box, the chromecast doesn't excellent job at mirroring my screen. What I do use Showbox, it is not 100% reliable. Sometimes the connection fails and sometimes the device is undiscoverable. Overall I highly recommend it

Best android companion, easily stream content from your phone to TV with just a press of a button. I have connect it to my receiver so I can use it with my surround sound. A must have if your an android user and for $35 is a bargain.

The chrome cast device is a great addition to anyone home audi video system. It is able to stream video content from your cell phone or any laptop or tablet right to your tv just by login in to your chrome cast device. The chrome cast uses your home Internet system to pair with your mobile devices

Google's Chromecast is easy to set up and use. Chrome browser tabs are the main way to cast, but there are tons of apps that have support. Be aware that the device requires an internet connection, so casting outside your home (to a hotel tv for example) will require you have a data connection.

I purchase 2 the day that I saw it advertised on Google Black Friday. Installed one that evening. So amazed and please that I purchase more for presents for friends and family. I wasn't able to download the free offers from chromecast.com/offers. I kept getting redirected and the instructions provided didn't work, but I am still happy with the product.

I got the chromecast, set it up (the setup instructions were very clear very easy and very fast), and now it's working for everything I need it to! I can use it to play Netflix or hulu on hotel tvs while I'm traveling without having to bring along another larger device! I love the ability to share your computer screen onto your TV with this as well!

Easy setup. Just be sure the device you set it up with is on the same network. Connect to TV USB connection rather than use the included USB power adapter for power if you're able to. That way, the device turns off with TV and doesn't stay on. Great picture quality. Netflix and Youtube look great. Negatives at this point include: 1) Needs more apps to support it. I use Netflix and HBO2GO, but I don't watch videos on Youtube or Hulu much, so limited use for me at the moment. Would be nice for ChromeCast to work with Time Warner app and WatchESPN. 2) Limited ability to stream or mirror content from my devices. Maybe this becomes available with newer OS updates, but we'll have to see.

Easy to install. Great for streaming from tablet to television.

This is so genius, we have two. One for each TV. You know how you want to show someone something on your phone? A YouTube video from Facebook or whatever, well....its more fun to beam it to your TV via Chromecast. I also love flipping through photos and seeing them on the TV. Google play has very reasonable prices to buys shows rent movies, etc.

Bought Chromecast to use at our motor coach. It attached easily to the TV & WiFi. Moved coach, had to use iPhone to connect to Internet. iPad connected to iPhone personal hotspot, Chromecast connected to personal hotspot, iPad casting Netflix to Chromecast! As long as we have a cell to connect to, we have access to everything ChromeCast offers! Kool!

Had some issues getting it up and running and from time to time still have some issues casting but I suspect this is more related to the website I'm streaming from than the Chromecast itself. Overall it's fairly easy to set up and super smooth to operate from both my smartphone and computer.

Chromecast is a lot easier to use and more useful than I had expected. Plug it in, start the app, hit connect, then go to page in browser...hit Cast and DONE. Could even teach my dad! The downside is that it requires chrome browser...or apps specifically made for it. That said, you can watch pretty much anything from within a good browser these days.

We had been using the web browser on our PS3 to watch videos on sites that don't have dedicated apps, but since you can't upgrade the Flash player for PS3, 50% of the time the videos we wanted to watch couldn't be played. Chromecast had been around for a while but I hadn't really looked into it until I was talking to a co-worker who recommended it as a solution to our problems. We have the Chromecast hooked up to the aux HDMI port in our receiver, and now I can just browse to the site that I want to use on my laptop in Chrome, click a button to send the tab to the Chromecast, and it starts up my TV & receiver, and sets the receiver to the correct input. I can see us taking this with us on trips where we might have a lot of hotel room downtime. It's pretty practical and the price point is really low.

I absolutely love using the Chromecast! I have one for every TV in our home. My daughter can stream movies and shows from her ipad and I can from my phone. We use our Chromecast to watch HULU, youtube, ESPN, and Netflix. No need for extra remotes or cables. Works great!

I didn't realize it wasn't a standalone device and had to be cast from a phone or laptop. I guess the name should have made that clear. However, I do enjoy using it to throw Netflix or Youtube or what have you on the big screen.

So easy to use and works like magic, awesome gift for under $50

The Chromecast works reasonably well and is very easy to setup. The out of the box features are limited however the connectivitiy is very straight forward. I use mostly to share files and video from PC. There are many apps available that claim to do this and more, just read the app details and reviews carefully before you install them as this functionality can easily expose your network to intruders. I have noticed that the Chromecast causes interference on my TV when not in use and recommend to unplug it from HDMI when not in use.
