Chromecast is amazing... you can project anything connected via internet to the TV... your computer screen, a moving playing, etc. I could pull up a movie in Itunes, videos in Youtube, anything! And Chromecast will show it on the TV it's connected to. It's simple to set up as well...

Bought this as a gift for a friend and she loved it. I did the set up and it was very easy. A total of 15minutes to set up from box to movies and music. It would be nice to have a little remote control with the purchase. Maybe they'll throw the customers a bone with the Chrome soon.

I purchased this for my young daughters room so that I could stream her cartoons on her television and avoid adding another cable box to our cable plan and it's wonderful...I simply turn the tv on...grab my tablet...pick between apps like NetFlix, YouTube or Disney Jr. app...hit play...and stream to the chromecast...all from my tablet

I love the Google Chromecast. It is just that - a caster. It is not like Apple TV with channels etc. It just casts the image on your computer, to you tv screen. But it is great for traveling, when you want to watch Netflix on a motel tv, or do a presentation from your laptop.

Super cool and easy to use. Now I can stream anything from my computer using google chrome to my TV. Great quality images and no streaming issues as long as the wifi is fast. Best deal around, already bought more as gifts.

The Chrome was easy to physically install. It took some trial and error to get the remote control software configured correctly on our iPhone. Once we got it working, it was easy to use and brought Netflix and other video services to a TV we did not have connected to the internet.

Chromecast is the best thing ever! for $35 you get to play videos, music, games, etc to your tv from your Tablet, Phone, PC. Everyone needs one of these little things they are great! My TV is a smart tv so it has Youtube, Netflix, and many apps but I find it much easier using the apps on my phone/tablet and casting it to my TV.

For the price and somewhat comparable products out there (AppleTV, Roku, Amazon FireTV), this is a nice media device. Great way to stream my Netflix--image wasn't too bad. But you're really limited to what you can throw on to a monitor, so be sure to check the list of approved apps.

Nice for what it does, pro for it uses less power, 5v and 0.7a can power it even my 4 year old Sony tv. Streaming is quite smooth and wifi is quite stong. Good for its price. Just it's not for everyone, particularly mom's and dad's, can't use a regular remote and without smartphone.

I bought the Google chromecast streaming player over a month ago& I love it! I love being able to stream things via HBO go, Netflix & from the Google play store to mt television. A word of advice, use the extender I didn't at first& I thought I had made an incredibly bad purchase. The extender brings in crisp, clear HD programming.

I've purchased two of these so far. One is for an extra TV that does not have a cable box. Using the Chromecast and a Slingbox, I can watch all of our channels on the extra TV. It works great with YouTube video streaming and more apps are being created to work with the device. The second Chromecast travels with me for use in hotels.

I purchased this for my wife and we both love it. She was working on a web based scrapbooking project for her father and wanted her siblings to see what was going on and give input with out sitting over her shoulder on the laptop. This could have been accomplished with a long HDMI cable and a mirrored screen setup but the Chromecast at $30 was not much more than an HDMI cable. Works great with Chrome, Netflix, and Pandora. I believe it works with Hulu although I have not tried. I know that Google has opened the sourcecode up and more apps and programs will be able to cast. I would buy another for my old upstairs TV if only it had an HDMI port.

The price tag is the most appealing feature, and it does what it's supposed to. However, I find that it's a bit limited. For a person with a majority of Apple products, it works just good enough, but an Android user might benefit a bit more from connectivity and functionality

I wish you did not have to plug the thing into the wall, but the streaming works great. They also need to figure out a way to make it work at hotels which are on closed networks. Great for turning a basic TV into a smart tv.

Chromecast has gotten better over the past few months and works good overall. It can be spotty at times but, overall is a solid product that's very easy to use and affordable. I would suggest as a great starter for someone new to Android or as a tool to stream movies and music.

This is a quick and easy and affordable dongle to watch web content from your laptop on your flat screen tv. Since it is fairly new though, it does not have many supported apps yet.

While Chromecast is very portable, I opted to purchase 3, one for each TV in the household.. I looked at other streaming media devices (Roku, AppleTV and others). The significant difference I found was the absence of a remote. Chromecast does not come with a remote. You have to navigate and control the device from my iPad. for example. Very easy to setup and get up and viewing content. I had to download another app for my IPAD (Photo Caster) so I could cast personal photos from my iPad to my TV. Photo Caster works very well. Charter Media will be offering a feature that will allow subscribers to 'cast' OnDemand content to the TV, if the TV is not connected directly to a digital converter box. I would likely use the Charter feature for my OnDemand viewing.

Easy to operate and takes up little to no space love it

Look, this thing is great at what it does it's just sort of pointless in my opinion. It's just a cordless HDMI cable basically - a bad one at that since it only displays what you have open in Chrome on your device. But for what it does it does it well so no complaints here.
