it's only "ok"
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Video feed is very slow. I already have a Direct TV account that has youtube and the special apps for channels in my plan don't work with Chromecast...bummer! Only a few of the videos on Facebook will work and I had to install and use the Chrome beta browser in order for those to work. It does work with Netflix, but I think I'll just fork out the $ and get a smart tv instead.

Bought to replace a Roku
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this up to replace a Roku. I think it's a great concept, but still needs more work and more supported apps. Works with Netflix, YouTube and a few other apps but I can't use it with Starz play or TWC app on my iPad and even streaming through Chrome doesn't always work. Hopefully improvements will be made.

Inexpensive way to stream Netflix on TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I would recommend the Google Chromecast. It was a bit of a pain setting up, because I have multiple wifi connections in my home and it was difficult setting it up on the same network as my iPhone. Once that was accomplished, there weren't any other issues. I hope Google continues to add more apps.

Replacement, working well
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought as a replacement for one that stopped working and was getting hot. This one works great, does exactly what is expected - receives video from another device running Chrome on the network. There can sometimes be a delay between the Chromecast image and the original. I suggest plugging the device into your TV when possible, and using Chromecast when not. It is a great backup.
