Is hard to believe that something so small works so good. At first I only bought one to try it, but I felt in love with it. I have two Chromecasts because I only have two TV . I cannot imagine to have a TV without one. My cellphone now is my main remote controller for the TV. It works great with YouTube and Netflix.

I bought the Chromecast to stream my laptop on my tv-stream what I was seeing on the screen, ie. a Word document. I was told it would do that, however, I have since learned that it will not do that. I will keep it to take advantage of the other things it can do.

Chromecast works well.... It meets the standard as projected by the company. However, I was a bit disappointed because, i thought I would be able to watch stuff from internet browsers, like reading my e-mails etc. I'm not a favorite of youtube, hulu Plus or netflix.

I bought this to stream a sports event to my Samsung 10.1 2014 tablet in one room and cast the screen to another (event would only stream to mobile devices or Roku). Problem is the audio gets muted on the tablet (or phone) when casting. I don't know if this is Samsung or all Android devices, but that made it more or less useless for the purpose I bought it for. For the other functionality, such as Netflix or Youtube I have an Xbox and other devices I can use for streaming so I wound up not using it as those other devices don't tie up my phone or tablet. Other than that it does seem to work well and is worth considering if you don't have another way to watch Netflix, Youtube etc on your TV, so for that reason I am recommending it.

The chromecast is one of the most useful items I have purchased in a while. Easily set up, easily used. We now can watch our son's preaching when he broadcast over Livestream. We also have watched YouTube. It is better than great. It's wonderful.

This little HDMI dongle fits in my TV and is powered by a spare USB port on my TV's backside. I have never noticed it after installing and I have never needed to tamper with it. It pumps out HD content and allows me to wirelessly connect my phone, tablet, computer to it. I have an iPad, a windows laptop, and an android phone which all utilize the Netflix, YouTube, and Hulu apps. I also have begun using chrome (computer) screencast to show my tab on the computer. I truly think this is the easiest way to put content on the TV and I don't even see a need to have a DVD player anymore. I would go so far as to say I regret purchasing a SmartTV over a normal TV because this little stick does everything I need it to.

This gizmo works great, was affordable, and makes your netflix subscription so much more worth the price. Watch on your tv, on your computer or ipad, or your iPhone. So easy to install even in a tight space.

We play nursery rhymes for our daughter using our TVs' Youtube App for over a year. Typing out lengthy names using a TV remote are the worst experience and we've been living with it. Using Chromecast has been a huge timesaver for us just for this one reason. All we do now is fire up the Youtube app on our phones and quickly cast the content to our screens. Its so much easier. I know there are other users who find more suitable uses for it; but Im here to share real life situations and how a great product can simplify the experience. The software is buggy at times - but for the cost; you cant complain.

This product is really good and inexpensive. For those without a smart TV that love browsing YouTube but want to see it on the big screen, this is a great device. However if you already have a smart TV and you want to port pictures directly from your computer (without uploading them to Flickr or a site like that) then it falls a little short. I'm sure it will be upgraded sometime in the future to allow for things like this but at this time I would say the product needs a little bit of work.

Very easy to setup. Picking up devices via the network you're on and features like turning on the TV and switching to the right input is quite impressive. Overall pretty good streaming device. A little choppy when streaming from Chrome browser on my laptop to TV.

Since I don't have cable or a satellite dish, I stream a lot of TV shows on my laptop. That used to mean disconnecting my laptop from my external monitor and speakers and USB mouse, bringing it over to the TV and connecting an HDMI cable. Not a huge hassle, but a hassle none the less. With Google Chrome, all I have to do is click and it sends the stream complete with HD video and stereo sound to my TV from my laptop. It works flawlessly and is so very convenient. Great idea Google.

It does what it advertises. Easy setup. Quality is good. I also have roku stick and fire stick and the customisability of these over chromecast is superior. If you want to buy one stick and are wondering which one to buy, make chrome cast as you SECOND choice.

I already had a chromecast, also had fire stick for my second tv, but fire stick is not as flexible as chromecast. So, I decided to buy a second one for the other tv. The best part about chromecast is I can stream from my laptop, phone, Ipad, any mobile device that supports chromecast app, which is awesome.

Easy streaming on TV with Chromecast. I have a smartTV but navigation is fastdious with the remote. Chromecast let you use your PC and your TV as a remote monitor. 4 stars instead of 5 because it takes a few steps to get it work, only with Google Chrome as browser

works great! It's awesomeness me that I can put just about whatever I want on the tv. I really wish that I could chromecast any web video using chrome, but playback is way to choppy and the sound lags. But when casting from apps it works perfectly and looks great.

I bought from a recommendation from a friend. The app works great with my phone (Android), except the app on my iPad won't cast (or mirror). I had to use another app (which is "meh") for this on the iPad. I couldn't be happier, I would recommend this to a friend.

This is a great product and very easy to install and move from one tv to another in the house. Would have gotten 5 stars but have to reset the app on my phone from time to time because it would freeze on one image. Except for this problem it is a great device.

I love this thing. It's small, works amazingly, and is easy to use. Actually better than I thought it would. My only real complaint or concern is, my wife and I both have a Galaxy Note II, and for some reason I can't detect the device during set up. So we use her phone to set it up when we go somewhere new. But I am able to stream from my phone to the device, no problem. Small problem, but not one that makes me downgrade what the Chromecast actually does. Great device and we have taken this on vacations, hotels, friends houses and work. I won't travel without this thing.

Remember when you're a kid and you got excited over something really cool? That's how I felt when I first used this chromecast! Google has done it again! This was a brilliant idea and at such an affordable price and conveniently travel-sized to bring anywhere as long as there's a digital TV that allows you to connect via the USB or the HDMI manner. If you stream it through chrome browser, you can literally stream anything and still multitask (except when you're full-screening a movie). As with connecting through phone apps or ipad apps, only a few apps listed can be streamed. But it's still pretty good. Hopefully Chromecast gets more apps enabled for this device and your life will be changed! (At least mine did)

Love my Google Chromecast. I primarily use it to access my Google Music via my home theater and control the music from my phone, even if I'm outside. It's fantastic! Very small and easy to use. Love renting movies and purchasing movies via Google Play. The only downside that I can find is not being able to access Amazon Prime which is why I say it's great in addition to using Roku. The downside with Roku is the inability to access my Google music library, so together they are a great combo and Chromecast is so affordable it's a no-brainer. If I could access Amazon Prime, I would have no need for Roku.
