This is a really handy device to stream so many things! I love it, and wish I would have purchased it when it was on sale during Christmas! The integration with my smartphone is smart and seamless, and really easy to use. I'm getting one for my condo where I don't have cable tv so I can enjoy more programming.

My Vizio LCD tv is a few years old now so while it has HDMI ports, it lacks built-in WiFi or apps to stream online content. And yes, we can work around it via the PS3 for things like Netflix, etc., but there's no real way to easily do other types of online content. Plug in the Chromecast and the power plug and you're almost immediately off and running. I can pull up a video on my phone, cast it to the tv and it's instantly playing there. By adding the VideoStream app to Chrome browser on the laptop, you can also real-time stream video files as well. It's really super easy and best off, it works. There's no audio out port on the Chromecast though, so it's not easily hooked up to receivers. I wound up using a 2-channel out from the tv to at least port the sound to the speakers instead of just the tv speakers. Not true 5.1 but it works well enough.

my Chromecast works great with my iPhone 6plus. I mainly use it for Netflix and YouTube. Both apps work fluidly with the Chromecast. I do wish that I was able to stream my iTunes movies and music to the Chromecast. Hopefully that will be an option in the future.

With the Google Chromecast I can 'cast' anything on my PC to the TV. Netflix has it's own button but I can cast Hulu (it plays on the computer and the TV). I don't have to login on the TV (using the cursor and the alphabet). Much easier to use than the Netgear. Can also cast from my smartphone (samsung).

I have a samsung galaxy note that I used for the chromecast. it seemed simple to use after you went to the App Store and downloaded the app for chromecast did not have to use the remotes even my 8 year old could operate it I would recommend this to everybody.

Google Chromecast is an excellent choice for anyone needing an HDMI Bluetooth connection for tablets and other handheld devices to TV's. Simple instructions get you up, running and connected in minutes.

I borrowed this from my sister and fell in love with it's streaming capabilities. When she asked for it back I couldn't bear to say goodbye so I immediately purchased one for myself. It works great from my smart phone and will stream pretty much any website from my laptop. Very happy with this purchase!

Easy way to stream your laptop/android devices(limited) to the TV without wires. It is not as good as Apple TV for those who use Apple devices but it does the job..somewhat! After using it for over 2 months and also having used Apple TV I can attest that this is no way close to Apple TV. Again...this costs a fraction of Apple TV so pretty good value for the money. It also loses connectivity intermittently. I wish it worked with more apps than just netflix and youtube. You get what you pay for:)

Seeing as I got in on the free Netflix offer, this was exceptionally good value for money. Setup was a breeze from my PC. Found and connected to my router even though my SSID is hidden. Plays Youtube & Netflix flawlessly and much more conveniently than most of the other media streamers I have (e.g. WDTV, Samsung Blu-ray). However, it does need to support more apps and it would be great if the 'tab casting' feature (which to be fair is still in beta) could play local media and additional file formats better. Hopefully the SDK will be formally released soon and we'll see an increase in the supported ecosystem.

Browsing for Netflix movies and YouTube video's from a "smart tv" can be a pain. This gadget makes it much easier to do. Search from any WiFi device and then broadcast it to your tv. There isn't any drop in video quality either like I thought there would be. It also works with Hulu, Crackle, UFC TV and more!

I really enjoy this product streaming Netflix and Hulu from my iPad and full connection of my Samsung Galaxy s5 active. Only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because it doesn't really connect to Windows Surface. It only likes the Surface if you have a pro.

The Chromecast media player does exactly what it is advertised to do! We are able to watch Netflix on our TV, we are able to show a slide show of our photos from our phones and laptops!!! It has definitely enhanced what our TV is capable of.

This is a great device to deliver the small screen viewing of an iPad or similar device to your big screen TV. Easy connection though your router and all of your storage or streaming goes right to the TV. My grandson loved it for Christmas and he now uses it almost every day. Easily affordable for everyone.

I intended to use this for some displays in school... It worked great, but does not appear to be as secure as Apple TV. Also, the Apple TV seemed to be a better image. For home, it's okay and certainly easy to set up. However, I like the Apple TV better.

I enjoy the Chromecast and thought it would free up my computer to type on. It does the job well for YouTube and other websites, but it struggles to stream live tv or movies without looking jumpy.

With an Android phone, quickly streaming content such as YouTube videos to your TV for all to see is wonderful. No problems with it in nearly 2 years of use. Sometimes I stream my Google Play music through the TV while putzing around the house doing chores. Very affordable for the features it offers.

There are many videoes on my computer from a site for cardmaking. It is so much more enjoyable to view on TV screen. I initially used an HDMI cable across my room, which was rather cumbersom. With the HDMI fob added to my TV port, watching these vjidoes is much easier, and therefore more pleasurable.

I love the chromecast! It's a great simple to use device that basically beams video and audio content to your television. For example if I want to watch Netflix,Youtube or Hulu on my TV I can simply access the Chromecast through those services apps and send the signal to the TV to stream the content there,essentially making your smartphone,tablet or PC the remote in this situation. In addition to that you can also cast webpages,podcast and other apps to the TV for enjoyment! This device is cheap,efficient and simple to use and I highly recommend it.

Because of this nifty little device, neflix, and hulu, I have given up my TV service provider. Once these were installed I never looked back why pay 100$ or more a month when one of these and 15$ a month for hulu+netflix gives me a far better experience!!

Plugged in, hooked up to Wi-Fi, and downloaded app. Real easy. Got up and running on 2 different phones and a tablet. My smart T.V. is great but can't mirror my tablet like this does. I even read a book on my T.V. Saves strain on your neck.
