Chromecast is off to a great start. I use it for Netflix primarily through my phone and it connects instantly and streams in HD 5.1 with no lag. I have tested the (beta) "Cast This Tab" which allows you to send content from your laptop to your TV and it works really well. It does run a bit behind when the actions you are doing but for beta I expect that. I hope Google keeps their promise with updates with new content and functionality to truly make this a versatile device to compete with devices like the ROKU and Xbox 360. In terms of portability this wins hands down.

This is my 3rd Google Chromecast purchase in Best Buy. It is the best device I have used to stream from my ipad or phone. Only disadvantage is that you cannot stream from chrome browser on iPad. The google credit along with the price offered by Best Buy is unmatched by any site or shop.

Easy to install, setup, and configure on phone. Easily connected to internet. It works. The only thing stopping a 5 star rating is that it kinda goes to sleep when not in use and sometimes has to be restarted. EXCELLENT product!!! Easy buy.

After a few trials on my part as to the method of allowing the computer to talk to my TV, I was able to access the programs I wished to see from Newflix. I am very satisfied with the results, and recommend this unit to anyone trying to avoid using the computer to watch TV progrmas

Chrome cast does more then I expected I will be purchasing 2 more very soon, I was amazed at the responsible price, it is very easy to install and use, I have taken this with me on business trips so the my kids are able to enjoy Netflix

We were looking for something to turn our bed TV into a smart TV that would allow us to access Hulu,. Amazon Prime Video, Google video or any of the other stream video service instead of buy another TV or smart blue ray player for the bed room. Works just perfect for what we need.

I love my Google chrome. It's easy to use and set up, and best of all it's portable. So I can take it on the road, use it in the hotel,or even at a friends house. Cheap skate that I am, the best part is with all the free offers and credits available, it meant that it was basically free.

It doesn't have the best mirroring capabilities, but using the supported sites such as HuluPlus and HBOGO produces smooth HD quality. I found it more useful to play from my smartphone.

I didn't know much about Chromecast before I purchased other than I could get access to my Netflix account with it. I love how many apps are available. Everything from games, movies, TV shows, Internet. I'm very impressed!

This is a great option if you wanna get rid of cable or satelite service, if you have a smart device just downloud any stream tv app and cromecast right in your tv and enjoy it....I love it so far.*You need wifi to do it.

I bought this in hopes that I'd find a practical use for it on an app'less TV in my bedroom. I already have Roku 2 HD hooked up that TV, but as a developer and video enthusiast, I was curious. The one thing that surprised me at first was the built-in SEC capability of turning my TV on AND switch the input to the Chromecast channel, automatically, whenever I began casting to the device. At first, I didn't like it. Then I began adopting the habit of said quick process. I then started toting the Chromecast to my other TV in my living room. That was for mainly casting the entire screen on my phone to my living room for various reasons. Be aware, though: your phone needs to support casting "your screen" versus casting VoD services from an app to the Chromecast. My Samsung S5 does support it. My Motorola RAZR Maxx HD, doesn't. Casting my entire screen from Samsung is very useful for watching live TV on my Xfinity TV Go app in my bedroom, where I don't have another costly cable box.

This is awesome, but it was a nightmare to set up. After the set-up issues were resolved (which took hours because of all the router issues), it runs perfectly and is such a handy device to have around the house. You cannot beat the price.

Good price for what it is and all the money u can save I canceled my dish and started using chromecast with netflix, youtube, show box I don't know why I took so long to do it I bought three more one for each tv at homeThank You google!!!!

Bought this little gadget for a family member and they love it! It was easy to set up and takes up almost no space at all. The streaming quality is great and for the price the Chromecast is pretty hard to beat in my opinion. Netflix and Pandora run seamlessly and using their Android phone they can change stations on Pandora from anywhere in the room. I only gave this 4/5 for usefulness because although Netflix, Pandora, and the few other apps that are available work great, there is a very limited amount of apps available. The upside is that Google just released the development kit to the public so hopefully there will be many more on the market soon enough!

I love this little thing. It is easy to use and way cheaper than an appleTV. Only thing is that it cannot be used with as many apps as you would hope.

It meet my expectation to cast youtube from phone and chrome browser tab from PC, the reason it is not getting 5 star is because a lot of app that I am using is not support this hardware. If DLNA is supported it would be a must buy.

I actually bought this so I could send pictures I took on my phone to my moms TV for a graduation party we threw for my daughter. I had to download Dayframe on my phone to get it to work, I really don't like the app, so we just used the DVD of her graduation pictures and let it run while the party was going on. much easier. I already have a smart TV so I really didn't need it. It is pretty cool if you don't have one. It uploads to your TV in seconds. And they keep adding stuff to it. Like the newest thing I heard of was being able to connect to Chromecast without WiFi. So new I just read about it. I haven't tried it yet. You have to admit that is pretty cool. I had given it to my daughter to try out because I had no use for it. She brought it back because she doesn't have WiFi. Now I can let her try it again and see how it works.

Pro :Work great with my iPAD to view youtube on TV screen, and I can continue work on other app while TV playing the youtube video. Cons: Seem like non of other app work with y IPAD, even the browser. Try to install Chrome App, but no luck

I use the Google Chromecast on all of my Televisions. I like it so much more than having a "SMART" TV. I am able to throw anything I want on the chromecast from my phone or computer an it handles like a pro. They are so cheap for what they are. Google always knows how to provide.

Google ChromeCast rocks! It was a cinch to setup! The apps are easy to locate, download and install in the Google PlayStore. It is wonderful to be able to mirror what ever we have on our phone screens, tablets, laptops or desktops to the large, flat screen TV on the wall! WooHoo!
