I have 3 of these in my home very easy install use

My only complaint is that it needs wifi to be useful.

Was skeptical when this first launched, but have now purchased three. Me and my wife primarily use Chromecast for watching movies on Netflix and from the App Store/Google Play. Works great with Android and iOS phones/tablets. Has allowed me to decommission the PS3 for watching Netflix and all the heat from the PS3.

Works great. Used to stream movies from google websites and works fantastic on my big HDTV. Allows me to watch tv shows on my schedule rather than on the schedule the big channels come up with. Definitely thinking about getting a second device for the tv in my room.

My husband purchased this item to watch movies from my phone to our television, however, the product was not compatible with my Samsung and had a lot of issues. Research if product is compatible before purchase.

I thought I woupd be able to plug this in and go. Not. You have to plug in the oddly shaped drive which blocks other ports on my TV unless the adapter extension is used. And you would think you just plug in nope. This also needs to be plugged in to a power outlet or USB port on the TV. Not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S3 for initial set up. Once I used my laptop and set this up I am not at all impressed. I have more options via mirroring my phone on my Samsung tv. I would have returned but did not make it back to the store in time. Now this is sitting in the cabinet underneath my TV collecting dust.

Perfect for connecting my TV to internet based applications. Although my TV was bought fairly recently (2009) it did not have any apps loaded on it like newer "smart" TVs. This simple and very affordable device fixed all that. So far no issues to report. Now I don't need a game console to watch Netflix, or You Tube.

I just like it, performance is cool!! Great price.

Always logging me off and I have to unplug or reset

My apartment has a different kind of internet service and password setup. To log on you have to open a browser and enter the password, so there's no way to get it to work off the wifi (that I've been able to find). If there is a way, I would appreciate if it was simpler.

Device works very well for YouTube. Easy to set up

I had no issue at all setting it up, works great for my needs. If your video is choppy at all on the TV/monitor but not from whatever is sending the image, its not the Chromecast, its your wireless network.

This is a good product. I got mine for $30 during black Friday sales. The only thing I have a problem with is; a lot of my websites use embedded Windows Media Player streaming and chrome does not support it!! Therefore it will not show on my TV. There is a media player plug-in for chrome, but it did not work. Ahhh well.
