I had bought the Roku at first but could not get it to work consistently. The Google Chrome devise installs easily and is simple to use. A worthwhile investment.

For the price of a Chromecast you can't go wrong. I have retail stores and use them in there to run slideshows. At home I use them for streaming Netflix mainly.

What more needs to be said. Compare buying a smart TV with preloaded sites on it to a "non-smart" TV with a Chromecast that lets you put any site from your computer/tablet/phone onto the screen. Ill take the latter everyday of the week and be more than happy.

I purchased Chromecast on sale for $23.99, which represents a substantial savings. Had I paid full price, my rating would still be 5 stars. It was easy to set up and use. It so expands the use of my TV, which formerly accessed programming through antenna only.

Very handy. Sometimes needs to be rebooted due to white screen, but definitely worth the price of you are a heavy user of Netflix. Better than ps3 since I don't even have to turn my TV on to get Netflix to start up.

Anyone looking for a cheap and easy way to stream stuff on a secondary TV or maybe even a main TV if you have nothing to stream with, this is a great option.. Works perfect for my set up on a bedroom TV. Just set it up to stream from a phone/tablet/PC and go.

I cancelled more than half of my dish equipment and bought 4 of these. Saving hundreds of dollars a month!

When I am able to use it, it is great, unfortunately, I cannot cast my galaxy s3 phone screen. It's taking them too long for an update. It has been 4 months since I purchased it. I don't recommend it until it works.

This little chrome stick is a great value for the money. I love being able to watch my exercise videos on the big screen instead of struggling to watch them on the computer. Only drawback would be there is no remote.

It's a great little piece of equipment for quickly adding features to an older TV. It's nice to have Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, etc that is simple and easy to control from the computer or smart phone. The only thing that would have made it better would be to screen mirror from Android which it doesn't seem to support. Other than that hopefully they'll continue to add apps and make it an even more useful piece of equipment. For the cost, you definitely can't complain for how easy it is to setup and use though!

I love my chromecast! I also have a roku and I still use it but i will prefer chromecast once Google adds more apps. The best feature? Being able to function my phone/laptop while chromecast is running. For only $35, there's no excuse for not having one of these.

I got this for my parents. They use it all the time to watch Netflix movies from their computer and also use it to look at photos from their phone. It was really easy to set up, easy to use, and has worked flawlessly so far. Very useful piece of technology.

It's like Apple TV but cheaper. Does what it's supposed to do. Doesn't have all the interactive things you don't use on Apple TV. Haha. But for streaming to your tv from a laptop, iPad, phone etc - it's great!

I just wanted an easy way to stream web pages to my TV. Turns out the Chromecast does this through the Google Chrome browser, but there is a lag. So, I don't use the Chromecast for that anymore. But I do use it for Netflix and Pandora. If you want a lot of apps, then I don't recommend this for you. Also, you need an android phone or tablet which functions as the remote for the device which I guess accounts for the low price since no remote is included. That's not a problem for me since I use android devices.

This was purchased for my son's big screen TV. He used a tablet to configure and was operational within about 5 minutes. He can now watch and download streaming video and not have to use any of his computers. Device requires an HDMI port and a device (computer, tablet, laptop, etc.) connected to your Wifi network. All setup steps performed though Wifi device. Now a basic TV can become a Smart TV. This also has the advantage of regular software updates from Google. TV manufactures do not have any incentive to keep their Smart TV units updated. $30.00 to convert a dumb TV into a Smart TV is a deal.

Easy set up.. some issues with the 5ghz network but if you on the same subnet as the 2.4ghz network you shouldn't even notice it. LAN streaming is fast, stable and reliable. Streaming from my nexus 4 to the chromecast and from Chrome on PC and Mac is smooth.

This device is priced to sell and this is my 3rd one. I mainly give them out as grab bag gifts. I wish I was able to mirror Idevices like you can with androids but we know that will never happen on a google device.

video quality of streamed video directly from computer to chrome cast depends on network and computer speed, but personally most I've been able to get is 480p. Video from Netflix or other supported site is perfect.

I got this for my wife for Christmas so she could enjoy her netflix streaming on the TV in our bedroom. It was easy to plug in and install, and within minutes she was enjoying her shows on the TV instead of her iPad MIni. Great product and no issues so far.

Chromecast is great because it allows me to hook up all my devices and display youtube and google chrome on my TV almost effortlessly. I had an extra power outlet near my TV so powering it was not a problem. I can see that it could be a problem for someone with a limited amount of power outputs near their TV. The only let down so far is that the only things I can use it for right now is chrome and youtube. However the majority of things I want to use chrome cast is for youtube so its not that big of a deal.
