ive been looking everywhere for an adapter to connect my phone the tv. i heard about this before and i thought you had to pay a subscription fee to use it. i wasted a hundred dollars before finding out this works, i regret not looking into this sooner.

If you do not have cable, but have internet the Chromecast is just for you! You can stream Netflix or Hulu Plus from your phone and project it onto your t.v.! I love it because I can stream from my phone or tablet while checking my email or surfing the net!

The only con is that it does not work with all movie viewing programs available on the web. Besides that it's an awesome gadget to transfer viewing from your iPad, laptop, or even your cell phone to your tv screen.

This is nice and small, but it's not as easy to use as just plugging in - you have to register it and then pair your computer or phone with the TV. After plugging into the TV, you control it from a laptop or phone.

I bought this for my mother's house. We have them on all our TVs at home. It is always great to have so that we can stream movies from our phones or laptops. Plus it makes for a great way to share family pictures and everyone is able to see it at once.

It was quick to setup and to connect. It works for some apps from my phone, and also Laptop. However, from my phone, when I want to duplicate my screen, the screen is small. It might be because my phone is older.

So I bought one on Black Friday and got it a little cheaper. Got it home read the instructions, connected it to my tv, this device walks you through everything on the screen.. Pretty slick idea, using a Android phone or tablet, or a laptop. But like other who have commented about this device. It's limited to HBO to go, Hulu Plus, Netflix, You Tube and Pandora. It would be better if there were more websites,

I use it for playing music from my phone to the tv and occasionally for youtube videos I want to share. For the price its good, not familiar with any competitors product to compare it, but I'm happy with it.

Chromecast is an excellent product to cast Videos and Screencast from Laptop, Phone and Tabs. It helps to watch on TV whatever you see on small screen (Phone, Tablet, Laptop). Also, multiple people can add videos to Youtube queue from multiple devices.

This is the 2nd Chromecast I've purchased, not because there was anything wrong with the first one, but because I wanted one on each TV! With more and more apps being made capable of slinging content via Chromecast, it's a great value and handy device!

Honestly, im a tech guy and when it comes to having a smart tv i did not want to pay $100 extra on a tv just for the smart features, enter Chromecast, best $35 ive spent honestly if you want a "smart tv" Chromecast is the cheaptest and the best choice

Great product for watching Netflix, or viewing Youtube videos on a larger screen, seamlessly transfers content from a computer or handheld device to the TV of your choice. Somewhat limited in formats available, but according to Google that may be changing soon.

The product is limited by the apps that works with the Chromecast, but if you want a dongle to connect to you TV and you are in an either Android or Chrome environment that is a very good budget product to have.

Plays Vudu, Google Play, and You Tube. Like my title implies it does not play with Apple so all of my movies that I was forced by the various movie companies to choose between a cloud copy on iTunes or a physical copy on my computer do not work with this.

We host our own server at home. So I can put movies on it, from there I use either my phone or tablet to cast it to my tv. I can also cast YouTube videos, movies from my Netflix or Flixster account as well. Great item and even less of a hassle to use.

I found it super easy to setup and use. Plugs into the HDMI port, and creates it's own WiFi network. Certain apps on your computer or tablet then are replicated on your TV screen. Cons: I wish it had optical sound output on the device for surround sound.

This product is excellent! It brought new life to the last TV that I own that is not a smart TV. The Chromecast is a wonderful product for streaming. In addition, I bought it on sale which made it even better.

Overall, it is a great product as it allows to stream virtually anything if you use Google Chrome. It works best with applications that offer the capability of streaming to the player. Even if some apps do not stream directly, you can stream from Google Chrome. However, if you stream content from a site that doesn't have streaming feature, it will allow you to stream the entire browser, but it will get slow. Still good value for the price, compared to Apple TV or Roku (at $99) and with few limitations.

This works just like it is advertised to do. It was easy to setup and to use. I wish it worked independently of phone, tablet or computer. I was sort of hoping those would be more like remote controls than actual devices. For instance, I would like to set the Chromecast up to access my Netflix and use my phone to just make the selection of what to watch. What really happens is that you need to access Netflix on your phone, or whatever, and then stream the movie to the Chromecast. which then displays the movie on the TV. What it does is done well. For the price it is a great product.
