Got this as a gift and the promo offer offsets the price. Even after one year I still get monthly promo offers like free move rental from Google Play. I also love streaming Netflix, HBO, Hulu, and ESPN. However you can't stream Amazon prime.

It's great. Using Chrome you can view anything on TV. It is pretty fast too. I thought about the fire stick but you have to have Internet to use it. This uses the network to pull the videos from the host device. It's great to view local videos.

Chromecast is pretty cool. It allows you to stream directly from your phone tablet or computer to your tv. Even if you have a smart tv its great to have this because it is easier to use than a tv remote to search and browse to then project to your tv. It's also great for non smart tvs. Setup is relatively easy, but I have to admit it took me longer than it should have because I was confused about initial setup, I just recommend reading all of the directions before you start.

This is the second Chromecast I have purchased so I can have one in my living room and one in my bedroom. It works great! I love it! I don't have cable so all I do is watch movies/shows on Netflix or HuluPlus and the Chromecast works GREAT!!

The Chromecast is a little undiscovered gem. It adds great value to your flat screen TV. The quality delivered in YouTube videos is full 1080HD with impressive smoothness. Overall I am delighted with this little toy. I would recommend strongly.

You really got to love the Chromecast. It's cheap and flexible. The best thing is that Google keeps adding functionality to the device. On the other hand, Google is coming out with Android TV. We'll see if they keep supporting the Chromecast.

I have 3 of these in my home and they all work great! I am so pleased with these devices I may not even buy another smart TV in the future and just use these. I pair these up with youtube, twitch and realplayer and man am I set. Great product!

It's amazing how a device not much bigger than a traditional USB flash drive can make "watching TV" on a non smart HDTV such a different experience. Either a smartphone or tablet can be used to select streaming content. I prefer a tablet because it's like having a remote control with a bigger screen to show more content info. Since this device does not have a physical on/off switch, I just plug it in a power strip to turn it on/off. Overall a great buy at its regular price, but if you can get it while on sale, it will make a great gift for the holiday season.

This product is great if you want to whatch on tv the stuff you usually watch on your Pc, it is just a bit difficult to set up, but in less than 5 minutes you can be streaming flawlessly to your tv.

This is a great little gadget, at an incredible price. What it does, it does extremely well. Unfortunately, there's so much more it could do, but doesn't. It's bad enough that there aren't a lot of apps that work with this, but the inability to cast native (stored on device) or private YouTube videos is probably the biggest drawback. I can't watch my own videos, on my tablet or phone, through this device. And I can't watch any of my uploaded YouTube videos marked as "private." Seriously?

I love this thing. It works great for streaming and is very fun for games too. There are not a ton of supported games yet but hopefully more and more add Chromecast support. Screen mirroring is awesome, it works well on my GSIII and GTab S 10.5

I purchased this streaming adapter specifically for use with JW.ORG television. It was very easy to set up and gives excellent video and audio quality. I would recommend this adapter to anyone looking for a high quality streaming adapter

Bought this for the family TV at christmas. Using Netflix with the Google Chrome Cast we enjoyed many movies over the holidays. Easy to get started. Go ahead and use the "optional" connector in the box.

The Google Chromecast is a clever, inexpensive device that allows you to stream almost any web content to your TV. Also, there are free apps that allow you to stream local media from your PC or tablet as well. All in all, I'm thrilled with it!

Chromecast works as expected with good video performance. I have the fire stick also and prefer it's native features and remote so you are not bound to another device to cast media although casting from a seperate device which has its own processor seems to help performance as the fire's native apps are a little slow to boot and load and it buffers during movies more frequently than I would like. I give them both 4 stars where the fire wins for features the chromecast wins for speed obviously aided by the additional processing power of the casting device.

I love this because of it's simplicity and ease of use. All you need to plug it in and follow the simple step-by-step instructions. All the features work great and is a great extension to have to a home entertainment room, office, or bedroom!

We were able to use in a matter of minutes. It usually takes us a while to master new electronics, but this was very simple. Have used a couple of different apps to cast, looking forward to trying more.

It's super easy to use and more apps are adding the chromecast feature all the time, which is very convenient. Casting from Google Chrome is still a bit imperfect (e.g., you can't cast all video sources), but it does work well as described.

I got this item a while ago and it has been working great. It really works well with android devices where there's many apps that lets you stream into your TV. So far I love it and would recommend it to any one who is interested in getting it.

Easy and cheap streaming item. Not yet a finishing product since some feature still in beta but Google shall have update and more features coming soon.
