We have four Chromecast devices throughout our home, They allow family members to share content in our family room and kitchen, and the kids can cast Netflix and Youtube to monitors in their rooms.

This is exactly what anyone needs who wants to watch netflix or youtube videos easily on your tv. Its also great if you want to show photos or other things on your computer easily. You can even play your music through your speaker system!

Who needs cable when you have a Chromecast? I stream apps (many free) from my cell phone or tablet - such as YouTube, Netflix, Twitch, HGTV, and many more! I have one for each of my TVs. Easily my most favorite gadget for under $40.

Set up worked easily on both Linux and iOS for a iphone and iPAD. It found my network and got attached without any issue. All done in less than 1 hour. My only disappointment is that you need to use Chrome to cast from the linux box.

The chromecast is an amazing little piece of equipment, for $35 you gain the ability to use your TV to access content from Netflix and Youtube, and you can display pages from a desktop web browser. The downside to it is that right now that's all you can do with it, nothing else supports it yet. Hopefully they will expand the functionality and this product will continue to get better.

I like just about anything Google. This is a neat device. I really wish it was able to replace my Logitech Revue or WDTV. My preference for streaming anything is the WDTV but the Chromecast is cool. It eliminates everyone having to sit around the computer when you want to show them something. For the price, I'd buy it again but I don't think it's better than anything else out there.

One of my sisters raved about the Chromecast, and after testing it out I decided to purchase one for myself. I had no issues with setup on my Samsung TV to my Galaxy S5, however the connection was spotty in the beginning. I'm sure some of it has to do with my router/laptop/phone syncing, but I had hoped troubleshooting would be a bit more efficient. It works better now that I've had it over a month, and I enjoy watching Netflix and casting from my laptop with ease.

Very versatile. It can be connected with tablet, smart phone laptop, computer, but i think apple devices are exceptions though not 100% sure about it. A must buy. I have two attached to two Individual TV sets and both work excellent.

I have bought two so far we use these all the time everyone has either a tablet , phone or computer and want to share videos and pictures. We have a lot of family events it brings everyone together for a good time. Fairly easy to set up.

If your a Google power user then this is for you! Must use with your android device which is extremely simple once you install the app from Play Store. I use this every single day!

I use ChromeCast in a spare bedroom for house guests. It's really an awesome option without having to pay for or run cable to this TV. It's especially super for small children because so many full-length Disney movies are on YouTube.

The little dongle that could! For $35, really a no-brainer. You can easily cast google music, netflix and youtube. It turns on the TV and switches to the correct HDMI port. I have it plugged into my receiver but it does not turn on the receiver, just the TV. As Google improves the service to support other apps and get better at casting Chrome tabs, this device will only get better.

The Chromecast didn't stay continuously connected to my TV when ran from my tablet, but I hooked it up to a 24" lcd monitor and now my kin has a tv in her room without the need for cable hookup.

great product by google. works better and more apps are available for android than ios. it basically converts non smart tv to smart tv. you cannot upgrade non smart tv to smart tv for 35 bucks for any brand. this is THE solution to it.

It's an awesome product , but however it's irrevelant if you have a smart tv already , but got it for my uncle was simple for him to set up and use and he haven't got any problems with it thus far

I'm sure you know by now, but the Chromecast is a great device for steaming media from your Android devices. Works great for videos from most websites through chrome and Netflix. It has rebooted itself a few times, but no big deal.

Very pleased with this purchase. I purchased so I could view internet sites on my TV at work or show powerpoints etc. I did not buy this to stream movies. Easy to set up, does what I needed, a connection without wires & very affordable.

This thing does its work, you can see in your TV screen what you usually see in your tablet or computer for a decent price. If you need something more sophisticated for streaming channels get a Roku.

What has been developed for Chromecast is great! It works very well. Never had a glitch. Set up was VERY easy and quick. Doesn't work with as may apps that I would like or expect but I'm sure more will be introduced hopefully in the near future. But the apps that it does work with work very well. Overall I would say streaming music from Pandora and movies from Netflix is the just but if that's something your interested in this is for you. I don't regret the buy at all.
