Good: Affordable, cheap and value for money $ 11 (36 - 24 Netflix subscription) doesn't make any difference to your wallet. worth of one movie ticket. Bad: I used other competitive products but I found this one is purely to monopolize the market and fill the homes with Google stuffs and then ride on your privacy. Very limited functionality. Devices are getting hotter when streaming the contents, especially laptops. and device itself getting hotter even it is not in use.

love me some chromecast! I cut my cable bill to minimum, and added hulu & Netflix along with free cbs - im THRILLED with my options.. I was able to call support with first install, and completed 2nd in minutes with no assistance!

I really like this Google Chromecast stick! It has really helped us to cut the cable with our cable TV provider. We now watch TV through apps on our phones and tablets that the Chromecast transmits to out TV. I highly recommend!

This is a technological breakthrough, it works so perfectly on my HTC and Samsung smartphones. I can't believe the price is so low for this little gadget, but you can cast YouTube, Flixster, Netflix, Rhapsody and so on. It turns your smartphone into a remote control, thus saving your battery power for more important things. The interface with Google Chrome on my Windows laptop allows you to cast from the Web pages also. This is an entertainment must-have, its heralding the future of TV watching. Cable companies must be very,very scared!

After using this for about 3 weeks, I actually picked up a second one for the basement TV as well. The quality is outstanding, and now I don't have to plug a laptop in each time I want to stream something. Also, by plugging directly into my home theatre, I can stream music playlists from YouTube without even turning on the TV. It also works with the app for my Synology NAS to steam my own digital music without turning on a computer. I wish it would go into sleep mode, it seems to stay on all day regardless if the TV is on. I can't wait for there to be an approved Apple app for mirroring my iPhone to the Chromecast, which currently works somewhat well with Android products.

The price was right and it's cheaper than a smart TV. This is an excellent device for Tivo users and easy to install. I can view most of my premium channels on the television via apps. I enjoy watching my programs on a larger screen.

Since I am not an Apple user, my son recommended me to get this product because I have everything ANDROID...so I did and I am very happy with the purchase. Great price compared to Apple box

For the price and what I wanted it to do (mainly just watch Netflix in bed, but would love for WWE Network to be supported) it is an awesome little device. Super easy to set up and configure and within minutes I was catching up on my "stories". The only issue I have had with it is that it will occasionally stop communicating with my tablet and not allow me to pause, stop, etc. I have to physically unplug it from the TV to stop so I can reload it and start fresh.

This was a good buy after all. The setup was easy. You have to download couple of different apps on the computer. But once you do that, it is easy. I can control the chromecast thru my phone such as Youtube, Netflix. Main use is for my daughter who can see youtube videos and I don't have to turn on my computer. However chromecast doesn't allow mkv files to play with sound so I had to find alternative to convert which takes time but still it was very well worth it. Google needs to upgrade the firmware on chrome browser to allow more video playbacks.

I use it to watch ESPN 3 to watch my daughter play basketball. Works very well and I can still use my tablet while the game is streaming.

Works great, struggles a bit on its 720p high bit rate, even when I have high speed internet (55MBS). Only wish that I could have it stream 1080p on from my chrome browser. Great product.

I bought this to work with my smartphone and realized I don't have all the functionality on the Samsung S3. It works great with my wife's Samsung S5 though. Easy to use in multiple locations.

Pros: Works great for content to be shared out of a chrome tab. Easy to set up and get going. Ideal for Android devices. Cons: No remote functionality so all control is through the browser.

the ability to send information from a device to the televisions is impressive. I do however wish that there was a chrome extension to allow for playing of your own DVD or Blu-ray over VPN.

I use this beauty nearly every day. Mainly for Netflix but it comes in handy with watching movies from Google play. Does not work with apple services however (iTunes movies) but does work with my roomate's iPhone's netflix and such

So far we have really enjoyed the chromecast. It has so much to offer and we have barely scratched the surface of all that it has. My kids love that they can connect their iPods to the Chromecast and watch youtube videos on the TV.
