Allowed me to send what was on my smart phone, tablet, and laptop, onto my tv. Set up was simple. Just follow the provided paper guide, then a few steps on connecting it to your wifi, and that's it. Enjoying casting.

If you do not have a Smart TV, this will make it so. It is absolutely fantastic and works as advertised. My only complaint has nothing to do with the hardware or software. Rather, the documentation is lacking in detail. I found it very difficult to connect the ChromeCast to my WiFi router. The printed documentation and the instructions on the ChromeCast web site gave detailed directions for connecting the unit to my phone, but no information on connecting it to WiFi. HINT: When you get your ChromeCast plugged in, connect your phone to it as if it were a WiFi hot spot. That allowed me to connect it to my router. Once it was connected to my router, connecting through the router to my phone, tablet, laptop, ChromeBook, etc. was simple and easy.

I'm really happy with this thing. Since I do not have a smart TV, I can now use the chromecast to watch YouTube and Netflix on my TV. The best part is that I can control it using my phone, my tablet, and my computer

Gave to my neice and her family for Christmas. They got it installed easily. The kids are watching music videos and playing games. Will be doing Netflix. Glad I was able to turn their plasma into a smart tv. For $31.00.

I had Netflix downloaded on my IPad and wanted to watch some of my favorite shows on TV. I purchased Chromecast and it was so easy to set up and I can now view some of my favorites on a large screen. Really like it!

This is a great device that almost anyone can setup and use. It streams most things, and very well at that, but I really hope they add support for local .avi files soon.

I heard about this at work and thought it was too good to be true. The bedroom doesn't have any type of player/system that would allow me to watch my Netflix without plopping my laptop on my lap. This saves me the time and money by simply using my tablet (and local network) to make it all happen. Had absolutely no lag or skipping and definitely worth the price. Still waiting for more apps to be compatible, but definitely worth the wait for now.

I bought this as a gift for Christmas - it was specifically requested. Price was right and I haven't heard that there are any problems with it. Appears to be a nice product!

Doesnt always work and can be hard to set up. Don't like how it restricts usage to certain apps, and doesnt have the ability (or at least I dont know how to) mirror my desktop

I love the ability Chromecast gives us to watch Netflix and other streaming on any tv in the house! It plus in easily and isn't hard to set up - my 13 year old was able to do it!

I love it! My family loves it. I like that we can change the channels from our iPhones and even control the volume. Easy to understand the setup. Did I mention our pockets love it too....done with the cable cord.

I bought this chromecast during Christmas for Christmas gift, it was a perfect Christmas gift for my dad. It is easy to connect and no wire needed from my dad's laptop and his TV.

I bought this for the office I work in to give us more connectivity options for our conference room screen. At $35 it's a great value. However, given that it wants to connect via Chrome or via enabled Android/iOS apps, and given some hassle I had getting it on our corporate network (not an issue at home), I'd probably recommend something else - Apple TV, Microsoft's Miracast stick, etc. - if you can afford to pay another $50 or so.

The google chromecast player was very easy to set up and the kids were off and running in no time ! It's a wonderful alternative to having two or three "other" pieces of equipment for movies, games and entertainment !

This is GREAT! My kids are on it all the time, so I have little opportunity to use it. Streams video and audio from phone or tablet or laptop to the TV without a wired connection - and then it keeps working even if you take a call, visit a website or take a text! A remarkable piece of technology for the price! I am sure over time others will come out with similar easy to use devices that work on a broader range of operating systems, but for now this is the unchallenged king of the hill - and for only $35.... WOW!

This is a very reasonably priced streaming device. All smartphones and tablets in the house stream to it easily. My primary use is sending media from my phone and Netflix. Netflix is nearly flawless. The Google playstore offers several apps that connect well with it. For $35, very satisfied. If anything, it does get pretty warm - which I assume is within design specs but does cause me to unplug it from time to time to give it a "break".

I liked the item very much and works like it should. We use it to stream Netflix to our TV. We have enjoyed the way the chrom was to connect to the TV and then connect to Netflix

I love the chromecast. We used to rent movies from redbox but now watch all movies through Netflix with the chromecast. We've also discovered you tube on a large screen television. It's great. We use it all the time.

We have watched a few movies rented and bought at the Google play store and they play fantastic on are TV. You are not wasting your time with this purchase!!!!!!!!!

This item was easy to set up and get going. Purchased to present power points on monitor. Have not tried to stream a movie yet but have done you tube videos and has worked fine.
