It works well together with the google home assistant and android devices for casting. It does not have a user interface but it makes watching easier and also improves picture quality of videos.

A++ Google Chrome product. I can't tell the difference in speed necessarily versus the regular Chromecast, but it does broadcast 4K from my laptop and/or phone to TV perfectly via Chromecast app

I just watched Wonder Woman on my 4K LG TV and it looked fantastic in 4K and Dolby Vision. My 4K LG TV's built-in Vudu app only shows in 4K, not HDR or Dolby vision, which is why I bought this.

Before writing the review I should tell you that I have been using FireTV Gen1 for a while with plex app installed and chromecast is an addition to the family. It is very easy to install and works great as claimed but you can not the amazon app on it. This does not comes with a remote hence it is truly just a casting device without remote. If you are looking for a Media center device then I would not recommend this device instead I would recommend Amazon Fire TV. If you are just looking to cast screen then this works good and I would recommend it.

Great little device. So much content is easily accessible from so many sources that it's just flawless to be able to click on one button and stream to it. Worth the extra few bucks to get the 4k. I use it to stream everything from Netflix to Google Chrome tabs. Only downside is the hardware itself is a little clunkier to install than the normal chromecast. For this one, you plug it into the HDMI port and then also need to plug it into your wired network AND power.

I bought this for streaming from my laptop and phone. This has great streaming capabilities and is easy to setup. My only recommendation is to use the hardwired ethernet as opposed to the wireless for 4K, otherwise you'll get lag.

Easiest thing in the world to install and use. Simply the best way to stream from any site. We have all our devices paired up to this miracle of technology! Get one and see what I mean!

I love Chromecast in general and this was an upgrade from a regular one. The setup was fine once I unplugged the Ethernet cable, but it took a few reboots and some frustration to get there. DO NOT PLUG IN ETHERNET BEFORE SETUP.

I was deciding between change my old LCD tv or buying chromecast so I decided for the cheaper option and it worked really great , is easy to install and easy to use. I really like it.

If you have a 4k TV then you should get this! If not, then the other models are good. There isn't much 4K content, but at least Netflix and Amazon has some content. Pretty much every app now lets you cast, so really easy to make it happen. If you don't get this Chromecast the older versions are good to for none 4k TV's.

This is an excellent option to have a wireless HD video resolution without compromising quality, In case of problems with wireless home internet low speed, device provides an option to hook router with an ethernet cable.

I own 2 4K tvs and when i use the apps installed already, it is not really 4k... i made this purchase to watch Sling Tv. But then i started using it for Netflix, HBO, and my god... it added so much more depth to the picture. It was like... so clear, so vibrant, the colors, the picture, is amazing. It makes my 4k tv ACTUALLY have 4k picture. I just wish it was compatible with more apps and iphone

I would highly recommend this unit for a 4k TV paired with Google "YouTube TV" for the ultimate cord-cutting experience. (Be sure to check if YouTube TV is in your area yet)

With all the apps I need and an ethernet connection that gives 4K quality picture I am very satisfied with this product. Thats not all, I can take it with me when I travel.

Set-up is about as plug & play as it gets. Plug the Chromecast into an HDMI port, attach the power cord, download the app. You're ready to cast in under 5 minutes out of the box. I can cast from my Adroid phone, or my Windows laptop. Some websites do work better than other. And, if anyone is wondering, the Ultra does work with 1080i or 1080p TV's.

Works great! I also have a WD-TV that can only be found online and it will stream directly from my Desktop. Both are good but I would like to find one that will do both.

Best Buy didn't have the regular($30) cromecast so I purchase this one. Great quality but you should probably just purchase the cheaper one if you dont have 4k tv....

The Google Chromecast Ultra is the best thing if you have a 4K TV and don't have an Amazon account or money to pay for an overpriced Apple TV 4K, this is the thing for you. Mind you, you may have to let ur kids use ur phone since it is the remote. In all, this is the best ever streaming device.* *Apps required on ur phone to cast to this device
