simple, easy set-up. Works immediately. Great images and sound

The Chromecast Ultra gives a great picture & sound. But connecting with our Android devices was a nightmare! Almost no worthwhile help from the Google online troubleshooting guides. Your wireless network setup has to be set to exact parameters to keep an Android connection, The PC connection was very easy and good. iphone appears to be good as well. It does work well on even a guest network. But I haven't figured out how to use the hardwired Ethernet connection yet... or... how to get the Android devices to connect again after the initial test! You do need to have the "see other devices on this netwrok" function enabled. And be on the same network, of course. But you should be able to use both the 2.4G & 5G wireless connections from any of the devices, as long as its the same network (which it is in most cases! One router with dual mode capabilities). So why can't I get all of my devices to see the Chromecast... & stay connected!? Still working on it.

Not many people realize it, but all of these streaming devices: Amazon, Roku, Google, Apple, and other 3rd party devices, all have a processor, storage space, and memory. They're all basically friggin computers! So even if you don't have a 4k TV? Upgrading to this from the last Chromecast will actually give you at least a little better performance. If you're ditching cable though, and want to go the YouTube TV route and have access to the play store, I would save up for the Nvidia Shield. It seems to technically be Google's flagship as it has Chromecast built in, and has a remote and more memory, storage, and processing speed than most others out there. It's quite pricey though. My opinion is to stick with Google all the way. They already know everything about you and they will continue to assimilate all the other companies. They are like The Borg from Star Trek. Works great with YouTube Tv. Bought the Chromecast Ultra to use with a power line adaptor, since we have so many devices that use WiFi. If you don't need an Ethernet connection, the regular Chromecast works great as well.

Paired this device with my 65" 4k tv and it works like a charm. All I do is cast movies and tv shows with the ease of my phone. It loads fast and my streams are crystal!

The chrome cast is very good and I recommend this to others

This is my second chromecast and I still love it as much as the first. The 4K upgrade is nice and worth the extra cost. It's also nice to be able to have a wired ethernet connection for this device.

I was looking for a way to get HBO MAX streaming on my 4K TV, which Roku doesn't support. Setup is easy and picture quality is excellent. While you can also place photos and other material on the TV, the Tablet (or phone) merely functions as a transport (Start / Stop) controller. It appears as though when you select a show on HBO Max from the tablet, it instructs the Chromecast to access the IP address for that particular file. I say this because I can watch a 2 hour movie and my tablet or phone might lose 1 - 2 percent of battery life. If it were actually playing the movie, this would not be the case. Bottom line... EXCELLENT!

Best part is adjustment for 4K . I ran a movie in HBO go from Samsung tv and same movie from chrome cast the difference is huge and clarity from chrome cast is too good for 4K

I see great quality for 4k videos and worth taking ultra.
