This was the best suggestion my friend could have made. No one was suggesting this everybody was telling us we had to upgrade our cable which would have costed us a fortune and had a sign on for 2 years it was ridiculous when all we had to do was buy this and it works perfect. I had no idea this even existed it works amazingly well for Netflix and an accident I used it for YouTube and was shocked at how well it worked. I got the updated version and have had zero trouble. I highly recommend doing this over anything else don't upgrade your cable don't listen to people that say you have to get a newer TV or expensive phone this should work perfect for you.

I'm using this to stream 4k content to my LG OLED tv. So far all of the apps have run smoothly and there has been no lag. I have it connected on 5gz WiFi network and there has been no connection issues.

It's a Chromecast. Does what it says on the tin. It's a smart TV device that let's you "cast" content from your app to the TV but your phone doesn't do the heavy lifting of loading the content, the Chromecast does which is understandable. Have a nice day! It's WAY too expensive for the uptick in resolution and color output. The Chromecast with Google TV is much better value than this. The only reason to get it now is because of Stadia functionality which is already in the Chromecast with Google TV as of Fall 2021.

Using this item to stream my oculus quest to the tv and works amazingly, good quality, not really any lags and does what it's supposed to with little to no trouble.

I love my Chromecast. It gives me 4K casting anywhere I can plug it in.

I use this as my traveling streaming device. My phone is the remote. Runs great, buffering is quick and fast. It does get a bit warm to the touch, dunno if this will effect of you have it 24/7 plugged into a TV.

The instructions are easy to understand. Setup was easy the first time that I tried it. I put this on the television in our guest room that is not connected to cable. It is a nice option.

It works well, although once in a while depending on the internet connection it may act up. However, its easy to install, works well, but is a bit pricier over the standard chrome cast. The picture quality difference is noticeable though.

I have been using this daily and this is our go-to-way of watching TV since I cut the cord on cable. Great product, easy to cast, connects to most devices, good picture quality...

I purchased this for my new LG oled and initially wanted to purchase the 4K Apple TV but that price uhh no. So opted for the chrome ultra and works amazing no lag, easy set up.

Was good product, I like the fact that you can use your I phone too.

I think it's great to cast videos from your computer, but when casting your normal laptop or desktop screen it has a slight lag. Other than that me and my bf use it to mainly cast Netflix in 4k & we think it works perfectly.

Bought this new Ultra Chromecast to replace my existing standard HD chromecast, so happy Google came out with this new 4k content compatible chromecast. Hooked it up to my 4k TV and it looks great!

It is good ... you can see movies in 4k...and used with other apps

This is such an easy device. Super user friendly, plugs right into the back of the TV. Now we can watch TV in another room with having to "rent" a second cable box. Great investment!!

This is simply an upgrade for me. This product does all of the same functions as the original. I gave three stars because of connectivity issues. The Google home app has a screen mirror option. Which causes things like video "lag". Then it will lose connectivity completely, requiring a restart. This also occurs when casting to my TV. Since this is the main reason I purchased this product, this is quite a downer. On the occasions when it works correctly, it does an excellent job. I do not have a 4K TV yet, so I cannot comment on its 4K picture quality. As far as how it works in concert with other peripherals, such as the Google speaker: The sound quality is good, but that is really dictated by the speaker. But the communication between these two devices is seamless, quick, and responsive. In my personal opinion, this product at present has not reached its full potential. I believe that there are many more uses yet to be discovered in the future for this device...
