Good 4k streaming, only a few things broadcast in 4k, not sure if it worth the money compare to 3rd gen yet. Definitely worth if it was $40 not 70. Do like the Ethernet port

Have this connected to my Onkyo TX NR757 then to a Samsung 55KU6300. Netlfix, Hulu, Youtube, HBOMax, and Disney+ and look and sound like we're in theater!!! Occasionally it gets overloaded when my grandson takes over with his tablet, short attention span and constantly clicking on a new video. If you don't want to upgrade to a smart tv or are frustrated with your smart tv's buggy interface then this is your best option in my opinion.

Now chances are if you have a 4K TV, then you won't need it as most have smart capabilities. However, there are some 4K TV's that DO NOT have the smart functions and this comes in handy for $70! But if you have an old TV with HDMI Inputs, just plug in and follow the instructions. It won't be 4K, but you'll have all the capabilities. Just know that this is ALL CONTROLLED FROM YOUR PHONE!!! NO REMOTE!!!

Works well. Purchased this primarily to stream video from my Oculus Quest. There is a slight lag seen though, even with good internet connection speeds. Portable.

We moved the old Chromecast to our HD so we could get the most out of our Ultra HD TV. It makes the casting experience much clearer and brighter. love it!

This is exactly what you can expect. Switched from the old Chromecast to this one due to 4k. Great product. A bit pricy, I must say. Other than that, a 10.

This allows me to stream shows from my phone or tablet to my tv. It’s easy to set up and connect. Awesome device!

The Chromecast is pricier then the regular 2.0 version. Considering the limited amount of compatible content and the need for a 4K TV, this is really for future-proofing and more of a luxury.

Better picture quality and streaming quality than the regular Chromecast. Easy to setup and use. Best if the device you are using to stream is wired to the router, but works well over WiFi

I bought this for a future 4k tv. Otherwise, I think that the standard Chromecast can still serve it's purpose. As for the product itself, I do like it a lot. It recommends connecting to a 5ghz wifi connection. I'm currently connecting to the 2ghz and it works fine. I have yet to test the difference. Depending on the connection, the quality of the video (for example off Youtube) may take a few seconds to show actual quality (i.e. 720 or 1080); which is understandable. It was quick and easy to do initial setup. Casting to the Chromecast is also intiutitive, via youtube app or Google Home app. I have not tested it via other apps, other than Risk (which works well too).

the item is just what I expected having already owned a chromecast first gen. works just like my other one except faster and much easier to setup.

If your in between a Apple TV, Amazon fire stick, or roku, your better off getting any of those than this, this works off from your phone so if you have the Netflix app you’ll be able to send it from your phone. There’s no apps screen, or remote. It works with your google hub but that’s about it. Not my favorite. But it works well not the worse. I have no physical problem with it, I like how my phone is the remote. I just thought it has more features.

This worked perfectly when streaming 4K content into our HDTV. Easy to use the YouTube app to search and stream videos to our TV.

Plugs in easily into the back of the TV. Included AC adapter it relatively bulky, as it has the ability to have an ethernet cord plug in to it. Works great with google home and my 4k TV.

Great streaming device, easy to use. Bought because I wanted to be able to stream from the browser on my computer, and it works perfectly.

4K is great when paired with a QLED TV, all the apps work great and being able to stream Nest cameras, etc is an added benefit.

With the 4K, this one is better than the previous two Chromecast. but 50 is little bit expensive.

I initially bought Chromecast Ultra for my 4K TV because it was not possible for my monitor's onboard apps to activate my Dreamscreen LED backlights since the light controller uses an HDMI passthrough to operate. That being said, I noticed the image quality of my streaming content just looks better coming from the Chromecast Ultra with less pixel swim in content shot in low light, and the added ability to stream much more content from my iPhone and other connected devices. Totally pleased with this purchase.

Getting the Chromecast Ultra setup to my Google Home network was a breeze. I plugged the unit into the HDMI port on my TV and plugged the microusb cable into a wall outlet and as soon as I opened Google Home it was a breeze to connect. One recommendation I would make is that you do not use the USB port on the monitor or TV to drive the power as most TVs and Monitors do not have a consistent power source to drive enough power for it - it will work, but you may get a broken connection from time to time.
