I was pretty apprehensive at first because I usually get Samsung phones or Motorola, but I am so glad I have this phone a chance! The gestures take getting used to, but WOW is it worth it for this camera. I am a would be astronomer so I chart stars and constellations, and with this phone I'm able to actually take pictures when I spot my favorite constellations! The camera is pretty powerful and has wonderful clarity. The only drawback this phone has is no expansion for your memory but that's a trade off I am willing to make.

Pixel 4 has a great camera and nice feel to the phone build. Battery life is the biggest drawback of this phone. Does not last entire work day without needing a charge for moderate usage. 3.5 stars for the phone. Best Buy purchase experience was disappointing. First phone I received had a completely depleted battery when I first tried to turn it on. Checked warranty with Google and it was going to expire in less than 6 months. I was shipped an open box phone and not new, so I requested a replacement. The chat agent was helpful and ordered me a replacement. Unfortunately the replacement I received was another open box. I checked the warranty with Google and it was going expire in less than a month. Returned both phones to Best Buy. Unfortunately, Verizon was unwilling to refund my $40 activation fee. 2 stars for buying experience. Will definitely think twice before buying a phone online with bestbuy.com next time since I am afraid of getting another open box phone.

My impressions so far after 1 month use: I like that Pixel phones are first to receive new android system updates. This is a good upgrade from original Pixel or Pixel 2 phone. Not much of a difference from Pixel 3 besides face unlock or motion sense. Face unlock gets faster over time. However it is not accurate sometimes while laying down. Not many apps support this feature instead of typing passwords. Motion sense not very useful while listening to music. I found it accidentally skips to next track if you move your hand slightly. Glass backing means the phone heats up easily after use. Battery lasts for most of the day even with heavy use. You may need to recharge an extra time some days depending on your use. I'm not a big camera person, but it does include many useful features. Overall phone works for me!

I didn't know what I was missing till I got this phone. My old phone was Samsung Galaxy 5, it served it's time. It was almost 5 years old, crack screen, glitchy processor, slowing down but overall it's not bad for a phone being that old. I almost went with the Galaxy +10 but had read the reviews for the camera on the pixel 4 were amazing. I was more interested in the camera more then anything. Since I'm not someone who is up to date on all the new tech & accessories I found this phone quite easy to use. Did I mention the camera is awesome. I'm still trying to get the hang of this new phone. So far I'm really enjoying all the cool features it has to offer. My only complaint is the curved screen. For some reason if my hand touches the edge ever-so-slightly it goes back to the previous screen I was on. It's not a deal-breaker but can be annoying. I ordered an Otterbox case and an OtterBox screen protector, so hopefully this will solve the problem. Plus I wanted to protect my investment as I am a klutz at times. I plan on watching some more YouTube videos on how to take advantage of all these neat features that it has to offer. I did purchase the 128GB pixel 4 as I had read it does not have an expandable storage. Luckily photos can be saved to the cloud so that should help free up some space. Overall I'm really enjoying the tech and love that I can use a wireless charger!

The speed of the phone is great. The stock OS is also one of the best I've used. I haven't felt a need to load a 3rd party launcher. The ability to search settings is very good - has helped me to learn my phone a lot quicker by easily directing me to where things are located. This is simply a solid and easy to use phone. I don't use my phone for watching movies or heavy gaming so the battery life and storage that this phone always seems to get knocked for aren't a problem at all for me. I also will note that I got this on a $300 off promotion so the high price for what you get complaint I've seen before also doesn't apply to me. For any everyday phone user, you can't go wrong with this phone.

Primarily purchased this for the quality of the photographs it captures. Blows away my old Samsung Galaxy. Especially appreciate portrait mode and night sight. Some have said the battery doesn't last but I have not had a problem with this. Face unlock is also very convenient. So far I have really enjoyed the phone and if you can get it during a sale it blows away the competition in a similar price range.

I have had this phone for about a week and first off the battery life is not as bad as all the tech YouTubers say. They do as much as they can to drain the battery and it's not really a real world use. Secondly you have to get into the habit of charging your phone when you have time to do it. Small charges are best then always charging to 100%. I get around 4-5 hours screen on time everyday. Oh and if you don't check location and make sure only the apps you need location on all the time are on, everything else turn off. The main reason I got this phone was for the Google assistant it is far better then Siri. This phone is so fast and smooth. The screen is nice and crisp. I can go on and on but I'll just say if you want a small phone and stock Android with a phone that takes great pictures then buy this phone you won't regret it. And if price scares you buy it now that Black Friday is here

    Amazing Camera for Low Light

As people have noted, the camera on the Pixel 4 is amazing. The photos I'm able to take on this in low light come out so well. My iPhone can't compete with it. As for the rest of the phone, battery life isn't great if you're using the phone often throughout the day, but I don't think that's news to anyone. As this is my first Android phone, I've noticed that some apps seem to crash more often on the Pixel than they do on my iPhone, but otherwise, very easy to use; transition has been easy since they use a similar swiping technique as the iPhone. The convenience factor is huge if you're a big gmail/google user; from syncing photos to calendar, it's so easy. Overall, enjoying it so far.

    The best Pure Google experience

I knew what I was getting myself into prior to purchasing this phone; poor battery life and that forehead. What was my primary reasons for buying this phone was camera and the Google experience. The camera is extremely consistent on taking great pictures, and though other phones may or may not take better pictures, this phone just simply works as an ideal point and shoot. There's not much thinking required to get a clear photo; I have a DSLR but I'm not always going to have it with me at all times, and this is the solution. As fast as battery, I get about 4 hours of screen on time which is mostly fine for me. I work from home so battery anxiety doesn't concern me too much and have car and portable chargers that support quick charger just in case. I'm coming from using a Galaxy S10 and OnePlus 7 Pro, which is the smoothest phone to use that's not a Pixel, and still the Pixel experience is no other. Overall I feel like it's quicker and smoother than iOS as well, very impressive. So based on my priorities on choosing a phone and lifestyle, this is the reason why I gave such a high review for this device.

At first phone feels like an incremental upgrade over previous pixels. But the new features (face unlock, radar, camera, transcription) and the improved performance are noticable. Their sum total adds up to a more substantive upgrade than I first thought.

I was a lifelong Android user who switched to a iPhone when the price was "right." The iPhone was good and did things well but I also missed the Android. After researching, I chose this item. I wanted the bigger model because of reviews about batter but it was sold out. I can tell you though, I am not sure what they were so upset about. My iPhone 6s 128 lasted only about 6-7 hrs daily. 8-10 hrs where brand new. I use the Pixel more now because I am obviously trying to find the perfect setup, etc. I get at least a day charge . Now that I started charging midday, I drop no lower than 80% and get 2-3 days. Only thing is make sure to stick with 128gb. There is no expandable memory but Google cloud helps

The phone seems to process requests quickly and smoothly. Time will tell exactly how long the data processing stays up to speed as more apps and memory are used. This is my third pixel and I've found it to be very intuitive series with more customization available than the iPhone line up. From the previous Pixel the new gesture control can take a bit of getting used to but I can see where they were/are heading with this and I can see it becoming more seamless with updates that will roll out in the coming months. The lack of the back button at the bottom of the screen used on the 3 predesecors was a little difficult to let go of. I am not an avid phone camera user, so the upgrade was certainly not needed for the exception that my last phone was damaged beyond repairability. Good news I was able to retrieve all of my data through Google's back up system that was so behind the scenes I wasn't even aware it was happening, which is a bonus from what I experienced previously with Apple's rather clunky partitioned back up system. If you do find the need to upgrade, you won't find yourself disappointed but you won't find yourself blown away either. I think for right now the smart phone industry has hit some what of a technical peak as shown with sales slumps. Pixel 4 Owners Hint: GET A CASE. This phones body is like butter. Almost smoother than glass. I find it slipping out of my fingers and seemingly sliding off otherwise flat surfaces. So investing in a more textured case would be a wise investment.

My first Pixel, and I love it!

This is my first Pixel, and I think I'm stuck on them. I've seen a lot of reviews all over the internet talking about how awful the battery life is, but for me it's been great. I just had a Galaxy S8+ for a little over 2 years, and I would have to charge it some time during the day or else it would die by 7 or 8 pm. With my Pixel 4 (not XL) I often end my day with at least 20%-30% to spare, if not more. And it's unplugged from about 5am-11pm most days. Now I'm not a heavy phone user, but I feel like I'm pretty average. Use bluetooth to stream music throughout the day, have my smartwatch attached at all times, sporadic use during the work day, and much more use in the late afternoon/evening, and I rarely have to charge before bed. I don't play graphic intensive games very often, which would drain any battery. But most days I use some news apps, Facebook, Reddit, Youtube, texting, music streaming with bluetooth, Amazon, and other random browsing. If that's the case, I think this battery life should be perfectly fine for you. If you spend more than 30 min-1 hr of the more graphic intensive games, then that will drain this (and most) batteries pretty quickly though. It all depends on what kind of user you are. But like I said, after a few weeks the Pixel 4 battery life has definitely been better than my old S8+ (2-years old of course) with the exact same usage!

I've only had this phone for a few days but it is significantly better than my previous phone. To be fair, the phone I'm upgrading from is a Galaxy S6, so it isn't competing with much. It's a bit more narrow than I expected (though I didn't look at the dimensions so my expectations were based on literally nothing), but it fits perfectly in my hand. I will say this is the most slippery phone I've ever had. laying it on a fabric surface with a 1 degree tilt will result it in slowly navigating its way to the floor. Camera is great, I was just messing around with the portrait mode, accidentally took a picture and I got a better image with it than I ever have with my previous phone. Night Sight is pretty insane. Battery life is great so far, I'm used to being careful with battery since my last phone lasted about four hours on a charge so this shouldn't be a problem! (I'm giving this high marks in value but I did get it on Black Friday for 50% off so my perspective is no doubt skewed)

No earphone jack or micro sd card.. earphone jack not huge deal now days. Micro Sd would be great benefit. Best thing was camera quality. The fast response to the phone may be due to no bloatware like samsung and iPhones. Almost all phones are water proof now but this was rated at 3x the depth. Hopefully that speaks for the durability. So far I love it. Would have bought the xl but they were out of stock as well as having computer issues and couldn't order me other. All in all it's a great phone

I upgraded from an iPhone 8 and am loving the speed, display, and camera of my first Pixel. I was surprised at how well integrated the Android apps are, as I always saw this as a key edge in favor of Apple. Google news and podcasts and messaging are now much better than I remember and are easy to use. Battery life is better than I expected now that I turned off or adjusted a few settings. I end most days with 50 percent or more battery remaining. A great deal at $16 per month!

Coming from a pixel 2 and a pixel 2xl, I love the pixel 4. The camera is awesome. No complaints about the stills. For video you don't have as many options with recording in 4k such as frame rates but I'm ok with that. The phone itself is very fast when opening apps like lightroom mobile. Considering how much less this phone is compared to others I am extremely happy with the feel and look of the phone. The camera is impeccable. Night sight is amazing.

Phone works great, it is quick and has all the standard features you would expect from a cell phone. My only drawback is it doesn't have a great battery life. It's decent, but could definitely be better. Also, the fingerprint scanner was replaced on this model with the facial recognition unlock, which I absolutely hate. However, everything else is perfect.
