**Overall:** The Google Pixel 8 Pro is an excellent smartphone that is sure to please Android fans. It has a beautiful design, a top-of-the-line camera, and a powerful processor. However, it is also quite expensive, and there are a few minor drawbacks to consider.
**Design:** The Pixel 8 Pro has a sleek and stylish design that is similar to its predecessor, the Pixel 7 Pro. The phone is made of high-quality materials and feels great in the hand. The matte black finish is especially nice, as it is less prone to fingerprints than the glossy finish of the Pixel 7 Pro.
[Image of Google Pixel 8 Pro]
**Display:** The Pixel 8 Pro has a beautiful 6.7-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The display is bright and clear, and it is perfect for watching videos or playing games.
**Camera:** The Pixel 8 Pro has one of the best cameras on the market. The photos are sharp and detailed, even in low-light conditions. The new "Magic Eraser" feature is also very impressive, as it allows you to remove unwanted objects from your photos.
[Image of Google Pixel 8 Pro Camera]
**Performance:** The Pixel 8 Pro is powered by the Google Tensor G3 chip, which is one of the fastest processors on the market. The phone is able to handle even the most demanding tasks with ease.
**Battery life:** The Pixel 8 Pro's battery life is good, but not great. You should be able to get a full day of use on a single charge, but you may need to recharge it before the end of the day if you are a heavy user.
**Software:** The Pixel 8 Pro runs on the latest version of Android, Android 14. Android 14 is a clean and simple operating system that is easy to use. Google also promises to provide timely updates for the Pixel 8 Pro, so you can be sure that your phone will be up-to-date for years to come.
**Price:** The Pixel 8 Pro is a very expensive phone. It starts at $899 for the 128GB model, and it can cost up to $1,299 for the 512GB model.
**Verdict:** The Google Pixel 8 Pro is an excellent smartphone that is sure to please Android fans. It has a beautiful design, a top-of-the-line camera, and a powerful processor. However, it is also quite expensive, and there are a few minor drawbacks to consider. If you are looking for the best Android phone on the market, the Pixel 8 Pro is a great option. However, if you are on a budget, there are other great options available, such as the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra or the OnePlus 11 Pro.
I hope this review is helpful!

I upgraded to the pixel 8 pro 256gb in bay and I've had the phone for about 3 weeks now. I am coming from an iPhone 12 pro that I've had for just about 3 years now. I chose the iPhone back then because at the time there was not an android phone that I really felt was worth the price and had the right "hand feel" I wanted. I did not want a curved screen and iPhones just feel like they are worth the money spent when held in the hand. Now that pixels have gotten rid of the curved screen, I was ready to jump back in and I have not been disappointed.
Screen:
The best and most noticable upgrade has to be the screen. The combo of having a high refresh rate screen and the huge upgrade in brightness makes even the most mundane task a joy now. It really makes me want to use my phone more.
Reception/signal:
I don't know why but my iPhone 12 pro could barely get calls or even a signal from my house and would consistently only bring in about 10mbp/s on Ookla but my pixel 8 pro is pulling in over 200 from the same areas. This might have more to do with how 5g has evolved in my area but my experience has been great. I no longer have issues with cell service speeds in some areas where I used to like my work office building, inside my local grocery store or a buddy of mines home out in a more rural area. I'd heard reports of pixels having bad modems but coming from a 3 year old iPhone, it's been an upgrade.
Camera:
I'm in the group of people who just want to be able to take a nice picture when it occasionally comes up. I don't post to social media but I like to hold onto memories. For me the camera has been great. It's not a huge upgrade like phones used to be but the 8 pro has the uncanny ability to just take the right shot when I need it without much fuss. The camera app can be slow if you are trying to take multiple shots in a row so be mindful of that but otherwise it just works. I don't use the extra ai features as I don't really take that many pictures. I just like having a capable device I have confidence in to take a picture when I need it
Battery:
For my use, it has been great! I've been able to pull about 2 days of usage between charges since I've had the phone. I do a lot of video streaming through YouTube and twitch and do some emulators for older gba games so the phone gets decent usage. I've tried keeping an eye out to see if the phone got hot during intense use but have not noticed anything too bad. My iPhone 12pro would heat up a lot more just using the best buy app than the pixel does streaming twitch and browsing though chrome.
Cons:
Non really but I have to mention the temperature sensor. It's such a gimmick that I have not even opened the app. It may be possible for it to get some use later but without even being able to measure human temperatures, I see it as a waste of space. It's not a huge con as with android, I can just remove the app and be done with it.
Overall I've been quite pleased with the device. I think some of the issues I've seen are from people with a wider perspective than I on smartphones as a whole. In my own use though, I've had nothing to complain about. I try to go a good amount of time between phones when I can so every phone upgrade FEELS like I've upgraded. If you are using a phone that is older than a year or two like I was, I think you will be pleasantly surprised

I've had all the recent flagship phones, this one truely is quality of life improvements. Call screen is fantastic and the camera is super easy to get great shots screen super bright and sure enough processor is smooth and quick. Fun flagship with the flat screen instead of all the curve nonsense. The pixel 6 pro and 7 pro or not nearly as nice as this nor as quick. I could never go back to those phones after using this one, won't go back to my iphone either. Still have my iPad though.

Pretty much improved over everything from the pixel 7 pro. Better battery life, screen, performance and feels much better in the hand. Also the face unlock now works in banking apps and password managers. Also no more glossy back so it's not as slippery as the 7 pro which is a big plus. Overall a worthy upgrade.

Phone runs faster and cooler then my pixel 7 pro. The screen is phenomenal and and I finally have all day battery life! The temperature sensor doesnt really work that well but I am hoping that after a few updates that should be fixed. Overall its a huge improvement over the 7 pro and the bay color is amazing!

I had Samsung s21 5g before this and before that I really enjoyed pixel xl 3a alot but I am not happy with pixel 8 pro at all
-best thing in this phone is the design which is much better than s23ultra
-performance is not as expected had so many glitches with no games at all
-camera not impressive at all but has so many ai enhancement which make it looks fine (no noticable difference compared to s21 5g)
-screen size is good
-has a good battery

Had this pixel 8 pro for a year in the blue color very nice looking phone really like the screen being flat makes it a lot easier to find screen protectors for the phone but this phone had very poor call reception especially in rural areas about 70% of the time i would drop the call or the other person on the other end could not hear me also the phone would overheat very often from just doing basic things like scrolling on the internet or making phone calls would pop up a message saying phone overheating needs to cool down i hope next year that the google pixel 10 pro when it gets the tsmc manufactured chip set that it will be a much better phone then the pixel 8 pro that's why after a year i had to finally sell the google pixel 8 pro looking into getting either the s23 ultra or s24 ultra from Samsung overall horrible phone that i wouldn't recommend it to anybody with the overheating and the bad call quality and reception i would give this phone a 3 out of 5 stars and say it's just fair after my year of having it an using on a daily basis also charging speed is very slow takes 1 45 minutes to charge up the phone google needs to really improve the charging speeds on this phone there are other brands out there that charge a phone from dead to full in like 20 minutes i hope this review helps someone out who is looking in to maybe buying google pixel 8 pro i would say don't do it what for the pixel 10 pro to see if google fixes all the problems with this phone once tsmc starts making the chips next year but i will say this pixel 8 pro phone still takes the best photos of any phone on the market right now it blows my nieces iPhone 15 pro out of the water and another family members s22 ultra in still pictures it still takes the best that's one thing i will have to give to google now they need to fix the rest of the things wrong with this phone to make it a truly awesome and pro level phone worth the way higher price they have started charging for their new phones.

Came from the Pixel 7 Pro. This has an amazing screen, better speakers, faster charging, and seems to throttle performance less as well as heats up less. Fingerprint sensor is still average, but the face unlock is improved since you can use it in place of fingerprint in banking apps and whatnot - still useless in the dark though. Camera is awesome. HDR video and P3 color gamut photos really shine on the "super actua" display. Thermometer is kind of nice but seems to still he waiting on official approval to be used for taking temps on people.

Pixel has taken the lead, photo and video are far more superior to the iPhone 15 pro max and s23 ultra!!! And the phone is a more comfortable phone to have ! The AI features are awesome this phone is a joy to use. I’m finally using this pixel 8 pro max cause it’s just perfect in every way. Zippy fast software and clean with zero bloatware

I went from a Pixel 5 Pro to this. I love the bigger size, it fits well in my hand while still small enough to let me move around the screen using one hand. The camera is amazing; details are perfect. Def recommend a case as the phone itself is very slippery. I also use a glass screen protector, and I have had no issues with sensitivity. It does all the things I need it to do, plus some.

I upgraded from Pixel 6 Pro to 8 Pro. The 6 Pro had avg display quality with horrible battery life. Pixel 8 Pro feels like a real flagship. Camera quality is amazing, battery life is all day. build quality is really good. Display is also top notch. I would highly recommend it to anyone in the Android ecosystem.

The experience using the Pixel is great and battery life is up to the other major players. You are getting this phone mainly for the camera and AI features. The raw power of this phone isn't good enough to play games like Genshin Impact but is more than enough for everything else.

This phone is great. Bright screen, battery that last whole day and the camera is one of the best. Wish the phone came out earlier so I don't have to buy a burner phone. And the bay color, very sky blue. I love it
