    Lovely laptop

First off - its a Chromebook so know what you are and are not getting. I love my Pixelbook, it is light, has great battery life, great resolution and boots up fast. I bought this to replace a Surface 3(non-Pro) to travel, web use and for watching YouTube, Sling, Plex and Vudu. It was on the priecy side which would be my only criticism, the build quality is great and it is nice and light. If you are fine with a Chromebook and price then I would highly recommend this device.

Best computer I've ever purchased for my needs

Yes it's expensive for a Chromebook. The price of the device can be the main issue and justifying it can be the main factor not to get however, consider this, it's aesthetically beautiful, light, blazing fast, best keyboard I've ever used and if you were to purchase an iPad Pro with a keyboard & pen, you'd be paying $1069 vs $999. As of 1/28 you can get it bundled with the Google pen for the same price. If you're a graphic designer or do video editing, the Pixelbook is superb. This is from a huge Apple Fan, The Pixelbook is my main computer, I haven't touched my MacBook Pro in weeks. Use it and you'll be hooked.

    Great laptop alternative

Let’s address the #1 concern first. Yes, it is expensive for what it does. However, you wouldn’t be considering the PixelBook if it was something that you couldn’t afford or did not want to spend the money on. With that said, it is a stellar device. The build quality is unlike anything I’ve ever used. The screen is great (although you can get the same screen on the Samsung Chromebook Pro), the touchpad is glass and super accurate, and the keyboard is probably the best mobile keyboard I’ve ever typed on. The PixelBook is super light and being able to fold the screen over is especially nice for when sitting in bed and you want to watch something. The battery charges quickly and I have had no problem getting around 8hrs of use with moderate usage and screen brightness on high. I won’t go into ChromeOS as you should know what you are getting into before buying a ChromeOS device. ChromeOS absolutely flies on the PixelBook. Boot ups are fast, I’m talking about 4-5sec and you are ready to roll. The PixelBook is now the go to device for the wife and I. We don’t use either of our laptops (Alienware & Macbook Pro) unless we absolutely need a full blow OS. I can game anywhere in my house by using local game streaming from my gaming PC in the office. This is a great device with the ONLY downside being that it is $1k. If you keep an eye out for sales and coupons you can easily get it for around $800. Overall it is a great laptop alternative if you have the means and knowhow to get around some of the shortcomings of ChromeOS. If you have a desktop PC in your home and are able to set up a remote desktop & VPN client then 99% of the issues are solved.

Let me start out by saying i would not have paid the $1000 for this chrome book, but when it went on sale in Best Buy i figured i would give it a try and i am so happy i did. Its easy to use, great for traveling. i use it every day for various things.its fast, light, and looks great. There are many, many chrome books on the market for alot less money, but i doubt they would equal the performance of this one, you won't be sorry spending the extra money!!!

I needed something fast, compact and simple. The pixelbook delivers in all of these aspects. A computer that is quick for school, a computer that is lightweight for me to carry around and also a computer that uses the play store in which I don't need to use my phone I can just use the laptop itself to use my favorite applications in class and at home. Easily one of the best experience I've ever had and will continue to enjoy that experience.

    Premium feel/look, disappointing user experience

Overall, I really wanted to keep this laptop, but I could not and here's why: This is a chromebook, I knew what I was getting, I hoped to make it work because of how nice the product feels and I just love all other google products. That being said, the pixelbook is fast, has a great screen brightness to darkness ratio, comfortable weight, portable size, and android capability makes it very versatile. I loved the soft backlit keyboard, rubberized wrist-rests, and rich colors on the screen. If this laptop was $400 or less, it would be a keeper at this point in time. However, as a student, I do need to use the full versions of programs such as Excel. I was hoping the Android or web versions would still allow me to use certain tools but they are only available on a full windows device. Besides the software compatibility being an issue for me, I was also disappointed that the camera was pretty bad quality. I would be ashamed to make a video call on this device because of how grainy it looks. The sound is rich until you play something a little more bassy. Which you can expect but I heard the speakers sound ripped when a male voice would speak too deep. I also would notice that the trackpad wouldn't always click on some buttons or scroll on some websites only in certain areas. Maybe it's an OS issue, but either way, I did not want to experience that on a chromebook I paid over $750 for after my student discount and taxes... Overall, if you have the money to spend and want the best chromebook, this is it. Otherwise, I'm sure you know there are so many other options for this price range at this time.

I’m one of those Apple people. I own the Mac, and the iPhone and Apple is my go to for tech. So naturally I was planning on buying an iPad. But for work we have windows and I do a ton of work with google. I wanted a dual device and decided to give the Pixelbook a try. This device does not disappoint! It is fast, works well both as a tablet and as well as a laptop. Has a good battery life and I love the pen! I have no regrets, I do feel a little bad about not sticking with Apple but I highly recommend this device for anyone needing a good hybrid. I know many reviews claim that many of the android apps don’t work well on this device, I have only run across 2 issues and they were both older game apps. Outside of the 2 everything else has worked well. The pen has no lag and is really handy for jotting down notes and taking down information in meetings. Google Assistant is helpful and works quickly. The device handles having multiple apps open at once with no issues. The speakers are a little on the quiet side, especially in tablet mode. Since I normally use Bluetooth speakers it doesn’t bother me, but I know it matters to some. There is also a little wiggle if you try to write with the pen in laptop mode. However, all of the other formations are stable and work well with the pen.

    Wonderful Laptop for Meetings

A few months ago I bought a competitor's Chromebook to see if it would work for my needs during meetings With the addition of Android apps to Chrome, you really can do a lot now with these machines. Although laptop envy at meetings with everyone with fancy Macbooks or Ultraluxury Windows laptops made my plastic notebook a bit sad looking. When the reviews finally came out for the Pixelbook, I ordered it. What a nice laptop! Extreme High-Quality Build. So portable and everyone asks about it. Battery life has been a little difficult to get under control but found Extensity to control my Chrome extensions and that fixed my battery length greatly. Android games can suck the battery as well. For general web browsing, email, OneNote this laptop is wonderful and so portable.

I have been using everything from Dell XPS 13 to Microsoft Surface Pro 3 to Samsung Chromebook and FINALLY get all of that rolled into the perfect laptop thanks to Google launching the Pixelbook. I haven't found any cons yet with tons of pros...primarily the battery life, how cool it remains, the speed and response time, and overall functionality. You won't be disappointed!

This laptop is really a near perfect device, just be aware it is not a Windows or Apple computer, it runs on the Chrome operating system, which is Googles. That being said it's amazingly fast, extremely well built and beautiful and of the highest quality. If you want the best computer you can get running on Chrome, this is it and worth the price.

I actually live this Chromebook. I use it daily, all day. I have swapped over to the Google ecosystem (pixel phone, Google home, etc) and do not have any regrets. The screen is bright and clear. The draw back is the thick bezels but tend to be expected on 2 in 1's. The keyboard is amazing and the best one I've ever typed on. The speakers are slightly above mediocre but get the job done. Tablet mode is very nice couple with the Pixel Pen, when those opportunities present themselves. My only drawback is the price. At $999, you can get a great Chromebook with similau if not the same spec's for less from ASUS or Lenovo.

Excellent premium chrome book for people in the market for chrome books. I say that because it is hard to compare a chrome book to the other operating systems. I need a laptop that is fast and mainly use it for web based applications and like that it also runs android apps. For that it works great. The price is very high at $1,000 but you do get a premium body and very fast computer. However I only give it 4 stars because in terms of price their are very good chrome books on the market for about half the price of this laptop. Overall I would still recommend this laptop if money isn't a major factor in your purchasing decision. If money is a concern a chrome book like the Samsung Chromebook Pro is similar in performance but almost half the cost.

The device, it's just perfect. The addition of Android apps makes it even better. It's a beauty to look at, and even more of one to type one. Haven't used the pen, not sure I have a need for it so I held off on purchasing it for now.

Normally spending $1000 on a Chromebook is silly, but when you get it open box on a discount and spend half that, you really get the value. Touchscreen, Core i5, and 8 GB of RAM really make this computer worth it. Leveraging Linux and Android really open up the possibilities with this device, expanding past just a Chrome browser experience. Bought before the rumored refresh so may regret, but this definitely fulfills all my hopes and dreams for a Chromebook.
