I bought this because it can run Linux apps, android apps, and chrome os. Very quick speed, good sound quality, great keyboard and touchpad. My only regret is that it doesn't include the digital pen or regular USB2 ports.

I've been a diehard macbook pro user for over a decade. The speed and simplicity of the chromebooks have always been a great thing for me having a couple Samsung Chromebook Pro's, but the Pixelbook is on a whole new level of QUALITY and SPEED. It's also incredibly light and the display is the best there is right now. Yes it's pricey for a chromebook but it OOZES quality and makes me happy when I use it. If you're considering this product get it!

The Chromebook is good if you live an “app” life. If you are looking for USB ports and more of a traditional PC you should probably look elsewhere. Great battery life, super quick response, boot up. Overall good purchase for quick work.

I love this laptop, and I'm only beginning to use it. It's beautifully made, and has the ability to run regular Android apps - it's basically a high-end Android tablet the size of a large iPad Pro in addition to be a functional laptop. As long as you don't need specialized software, but instead stick to browsing, email, and MS Office-type stuff (done through Google's very usable set of office tools), you'll be set. I did buy this on the rare 25% sale - I don't know that I would have been willing to pay full price. Still, it's really, really nice.

I have used a wide variety of laptops, including macbook pros, windows 10, surface devices and the pixelbook is my single favorite for every day computing tasks. I use browsers for about 90 percent of my daily computer use. Browsing the web, facebook, twitter, amazon, etc comprises most of what I need a computer for. In that respect this is perfection. The laptop is light weight, thin, and folds nicely to use either as a full-on laptop or as a tablet. Its more powerful and laptop-like than an ipad pro (which I also have but never use for daily tasks) and I use it daily. Battery life is also quite fantastic and it only needs a charge a couple of times a week.

The speed is absolutely mind blowing, the screen looks amazing and the actual functionality between the laptop and the tablet is seamless and very easy to transition without worrying about damaging in the process. If you are a google fan and are looking for a "home base" to connect your devices and information to, i HIGHLY recommend this to you! it is every bit worth the price. You get what you give no questions asked.

This is a value vs. reward purchase. If you can get it for the right price, like I did, it's worth every penny. I ended up paying $650, which is significantly less than the MSRP. The screen is killer. The keyboard rocks! Battery life is great. Honestly, there's very little that I could say is bad. Not all Android apps seem to run on it yet. I suppose that's to be expected.
It's not worth $1000. There are plenty of other Chromebooks out there that are good enough for a better price. But if you can pick this up for under $700 then I would seriously consider it if you have the budget for it.

I have used chrome books at work for several years now and can honestly say that this is the most advanced chrome book that I have had the pleasure to use! It is so handy to be able to fold the screen back and use the device is a tablet. It works very well with the Pixelbook pen, and I have had no issues with that. The Pixelbook is super thin and easy to carry around. Chrome OS is foolproof, and I have had no lagging doing some pretty intense multitasking. Plus, getting the Pixelbook Geek squad Certified saved me $400! I love it! Thank you!

I had hesitation about purchasing/using a Chromebook since it's been billed as mostly an 'internet browser'. I will say that I am not a gamer or a heavy Office user. I do some light photo editing, stream videos, document creation/writing, and, yes, internet browsing. After using Chromebooks for a year (had a Samsung Chromebook Plus before the Pixelbook), I am a huge fan. The machine boots up in seconds and let's me get started right away on whatever I'm working on. Google Docs is pretty similar to Word and served my needs, but with the addition of Android apps I have access to Word. The addition of the Play store gives me access to all of my favorite android apps. I haven't found many that have issues running on my Pixelbook. I've also been reading that Linux support is coming and there are a number of useful open source Linux programs which will make it an even more powerful machine. Lastly, I'm reading they're contemplating a dual boot version with Windows being the other OS (not sure that will really happen or not). If that happens, you can expect much greater saturation of Chromebooks in the market.
Overall, I absolutely love my Pixelbook and will defintely upgrade to another one when they add enough 'new' stuff to them. The only con for me is the lack of an SD card slot. I use cloud storage, but sometimes like having portable local files available to me. I use an external drive for that now, but would love the addition of an SD slot. The Samsung Chromebook Plus and Pro models have one. I get that Google is promoting cloud storage, but an SD slot seems like an easy add to what's considered a laptop type machine. With that one exception and if you're not looking for a gaming machine, I think the Pixelbook will more than satisfy most people's needs quite nicely.

I've never used chrome os before this product I knew what it was and what it could and couldn't do so I was kind of weary wether I would be satisfied with this purchase or not especially since it's close to a thousand dollars. But after using this a month I LOVE it! I don't use a computer much for business purposes but with all the Google apps I'm sure you could make it work. The hardware is top-notch super speed and really a joy to use. I'm not going to lie I did but this with intention of dual booting windows with chrome os but as of now I haven't and I'm 100 percent happy with my purchase.

I ended returning a Lenovo Yoga 15" for the PIxelbook and I love it! This has been the first non-Mac laptop I have ever owned. The great build quality along with the clean look and feel of Chrome OS has made the switch easy. The screen is SO amazing. I've been opening up all of my old photos and I'm seeing colors and detail I have never seen before. The best part however, is the track pad. Coming from the Apple world ..finding a trackpad that can meet the standards of the ones found on a Macbook was no easy task but I have found it here in the PIxelbook.

Great build quality, fast, and always ready to work when I am. Battery life, taller screen, and keyboard are really good. The tall screen is great for reading and is more then fine for watching movies and youTube content. Google and Google play software works well and the compatibility with the Sony google TV is a stand out. Ability to use a pen and draw on the screen was what sold me on this pixelbook (the newer version is missing this feature.)

I have used Chromebooks for the better part of 6 years now as my main computing device. Previous to this I used a Samsung Chromebook Pro and loved every second of it. I decided to upgrade to the Pixelbook because I wanted a more premium device with nice aesthetics and the keyboard feels incredible. It's also lightweight and ultra portable. I use it for school and for personal use about the same.

I was very skeptical of chromebooks, as I didn't really understand what it meant to have a chrome-based operating system. I had suspected that I wouldn't be able to do near as many tasks as I was on windows or mac. Boy, was I wrong.
This laptop has been ridiculously good. Sure, there are a few things that I had to change. But, the changes were minimal, and, for someone whose life revolves around Google products, the changes were actually for the better.
The laptop itself is sleek, light, and fairly durable. I carry my pixelbook in my backpack, and it hasn't shown any signs of wear. The system is very fast. Further, the additional abilities for integration between this and my Pixel 2 phone are convenient. I highly recommend that anyone looking for a quality laptop to consider purchasing one of these.

High quality components, the tracking pad is excellent, the screen is brilliant, the keyboard has a great feel, the wrist pads are very comfortable, the list goes on.
Negatives: I feel afraid of hurting it (it's so pristine), no dedicated delete key (as with all Chromebooks), feeling the buttons on the back while in tablet mode is kind of annoying, no regular USB ports, and... that's about it. It's the best Chromebook you can buy right now, and for $750 I'd say it's worth it for those who want the best.
