and I haven't gone back to my windows laptop once. I love this thing. From the battery life to the touch and feel of the hardware this is a great laptop. Chrome OS is still a work in progress but with most services web-based these days I have little I need to install and the full android marketplace fills in the minor gaps.

Its expensive but best chromebook by far. Build quality is awesome, very responsive. Now runs some Linux apps. I use this alot for everyday type stuff. Only compliant is that in tablet mode you tend to click the touchpad on the back which feels wierd but doesnt affect using it as a tablet.

    Excellent Computer for School

My son’s school requires a Chromebook for his school work this year. Most of the models I reviewed were cheaper, but did not have anywhere near the RAM and memory of the Google Pixelbook Chromebook. Also this product has a solid state drive, which I find very reliable. When the computer was delivered, the setup was very easy. Simple to connect or the WiFi and the touch screen worked flawlessly. Seems like the battery life is excellent even when my son watches videos during the weekend. Usually just charge overnight and the computer is set for the entire next day. This is a perfect computer for school, assuming a Chromebook is required. Based on the specs, this model should be able to have the necessary speed and memory to be functional for several years. The cheaper models might need to be updated every year based on their entry level specs. Very happy with the investment.

I've had one of these for 2 years, and I use it more than my HP Spectre. While that other laptop is best for the Adobe suite, this Pixelbook has been incredible for daily use. Battery life is solid, and the keyboard is the best keyboard I've ever typed on.

    Wonderful Laptop for Meetings

A few months ago I bought a competitor's Chromebook to see if it would work for my needs during meetings With the addition of Android apps to Chrome, you really can do a lot now with these machines. Although laptop envy at meetings with everyone with fancy Macbooks or Ultraluxury Windows laptops made my plastic notebook a bit sad looking. When the reviews finally came out for the Pixelbook, I ordered it. What a nice laptop! Extreme High-Quality Build. So portable and everyone asks about it. Battery life has been a little difficult to get under control but found Extensity to control my Chrome extensions and that fixed my battery length greatly. Android games can suck the battery as well. For general web browsing, email, OneNote this laptop is wonderful and so portable.

I have been using my Pixelbook for almost a week and I love it. It is very thin and sturdy. A little pricey but if you can afford it you will not be disappointed. Battery life is pretty good and it is really fast and secure.

I use this device for home use a very light work. It has far exceeded my expectations on every thing but battery life (battery life is still good just not the 10 hours advertised). The touchpad is better than anything I have used before (including MacAirs and MacBook Pros). The feel of everything is solid and the device just screams quality. My wife (lifetime Mac user) keeps talking about getting one for herself because she likes mine so much. Beware though, office products work great for home use, but many enterprise level functions are just not there yet, especially in the case of MS-Excel & MS-Access. There are workarounds, but they will significantly effect productivity. As a personal use device this is perfect!

    The Ultimate Chromebook

I’ve owned a couple Chromebooks in the past, but none of them could compare to the Pixelbook in terms of power or build. One of my only real complaints about my previous Chromebooks was the build quality. Don’t get me wrong, they still worked very well, but it was extremely clear that I paid less than $400 for them. Even though it’s a cliche, it’s still true: you get what you pay for. You are paying for the premium build and specs with the Pixelbook, but wow, it is SOOOO worth it! I can’t stress enough how much I LOVE the hardware. The Pixelbook has an aluminum body (with a class panel on the back for that Pixel Phone look), a gorgeous 3:2 display, and one of the best laptop keyboards I’ve ever used. I do wish that Google included the Pixelbook Pen in the box for the price of the Pixelbook, but that’s probably my only complaint. Moving over to software, this is the same Chrome OS you know and love (which shouldn’t come as a surprise). The only difference is that this Chromebook has a 7th gen i5 and 128GB of flash storage to allow the OS to really stretch its legs. It doesn’t matter how many tabs I have open in Chrome, what I have running in the background, I have yet to see the Pixelbook slow down. Speaking of software, you can access and download Android apps. Not all the apps work on the Pixelbook (Lineage 2: Revolution is unresponsive and the Facebook app really only works well if kept minimized as if run on a phone), but the important apps I use regularly (Outlook, Netflix, and OneDrive) work just fine as if I was using any other Android tablet. Would I recommend the Pixelbook? Yes, but only if you’re already using Chrome OS. As much as I love the hardware and experience, the Pixelbook is a very expensive way to jump into Chrome OS. If you have an older Chromebook and want to stay with the OS and keep the insane battery life, yes, the Pixelbook is worth every penny. PROS: - Premium build quality - Gorgeous display - One of the best keyboards on a laptop - Outstanding battery life with fast charging - Access to the Google Play Store CONS: - The Pixelbook Pen isn’t included - Not all Android apps work well with Chrome OS (this isn’t limited to the Pixelbook)

I love it! Great battery life, I can go a few days without charging and be using it nonstop! I've had it for about six months now and it works just as fast as when I bought it. I also have a Google Pixel 2 so it's compatible with everything! Slim and awesome features and easy to use! Love the touch screen feature

Almost the best laptop I have ever owned! With many applications going web-based this laptop can replace any Mac or Windows device easily. Display is perfect, keyboard feel is excellent for its thin size, and touch screen is responsive. The only thing I would recommend is including the stylus with this $1000 chromebook. The quality of the materials used for this chromebook is outstanding. The only problem with the laptop is its bluetooth connectivity. Sometimes it will not recognize the already paired device. Only a reboot fixes it. Sometimes the bluetooth radio would not turn on. Also fixed with a reboot. Otherwise very happy with purchase.

The Pixelbook is my third Chromebook. I've been using since 2014. Not withstanding that Chrome OS has some drawbacks for some people, I am invested in the world of cloud computing. This laptop is a joy to use. There is nothing about the design that I would change, The keyboard is a joy to type on, the track-pad is glass, the screen is bright and clear. For me the tablet mode is a novelty, its a little large for holding comfortably and the OS is not optimized for that mode. I still find myself using exclusively in laptop style. Battery life is improving with each charge cycle, but i was disappointed initially with <5h on one charge. This is an expensive Chromebook, no doubt, but i really feel that this machine will last me a long time. At least until I enviously eye whatever hardware Google produces next

The Google Pixelbook is a high-end chromebook with many high end laptop features with the ease of Chrome OS. The battery life is easly 4 or 5 hours, or more depending on what you are doing. Backlit keyboard, high-res touch screen display that flips 360 degrees to become a tablet. Sturdy, light weight, aluminum chassis makes it great to carry around. I don't understand why the Pen has to be so expensive, but I opted not to get one because of that price. It also lacks a place to store the pen, which seems to be an oversight. The only minor short coming is that it doesn't have an SD or even a microSD card slot. If you want to upload photos from a camera, for example, you'll need to get a USB-C card reader. If you're looking for an excellent every-day high quality, premium deisgn Chromebook, this is one is about as good as you can get.

I needed a laptop for grading assignments and the odd remote task for work. I was looking at the Surface Laptop and some of the Lenovo Yoga models, but I realized that I didn’t want another Windows laptop. I use a Dell G7 for gaming at home and on the go, so I needed something very portable with good battery life and performance. The PixelBook checks all the boxes. And it’s more secure than Windows (Apple had priced their Macs outside of what I’m willing to pay). It runs well, has great Android support, and does everything I want it to do. I know Chromebooks (and especially premium ones) aren’t for everyone, but this works perfectly for me. And the upcoming Crostini Linux container support means this puppy gets a whole lot more useful without requiring me to switch to dev mode. I’m very happy with this.

I previously had a Samsung Chromebook and the Pixelbook blows it out of the water. Of course, the price does too, as it is double the price. The sturdiness, screen, and quick updates for the Pixelbook make this a winner.

Lightweight and easy to set up - I bought this Pixelbook to replace my 2013 Macbook Pro and haven't looked back. Originally was interested in Chromebooks because honestly all I ever do is check e-mail and social media on my computer, maybe sometimes download a .pdf or two. Chromebooks were on my radar because they felt like they're not over-engineered for my purposes. I got the Pixelbook because of how lightweight it was, and now I can bring it with me everywhere I go without a second thought (versus lugging around a 6lb computer, where I didn't use most capabilities). Best of all, it uses the same charger as my cellphone, so I don't need to carry around the giant charging brick that Apple Macs usually come with.

This is a very nice chromebook. The build quality is top notch. But, it's from 2017. So it's a bit outdated. And waaaaay overpriced now that other newer chromebooks have hit the market. No built in stylus. No fingerprint reader. Speakers are lackluster. Display is meh. To compare, the Samsung Galaxy Chromebook has a 13.3" AMOLED 4k display, biometric security, a built in stylus and double the hard drive. And the speakers are better. This would be a really good bargain at maybe $500.
