There's a lot to love about the Pixelbook: the screen, the battery life, the pen input, the keyboard, the build, it goes on... But here's why its a keeper for me. I like Android tablets preferably Samsung flapship models. I buy every new tablet up until this year. I like the instant on and the high res screens. This year I skipped the Samsung Tab S3 and the Pixelbook is the reason. It was really when Android became officially supported on Chrome. Once that happened, its pretty tough to justify the then $599.99 (now $399) price of the Samsung Tab S3 and tack on their $129.99 keyboard and still not match the performance of the Pixelbook that, thanks to its Android OS integration, can now do everything the Samsung Tab S3 can do and more. The $899.99 sale price coupled with the 10% student discount made this an immediate buy for me. Forget everything you've heard about Chromebooks because with this momentum Apple and Microsoft will soon be trying to catch up.

I have so much to say about google and the pixelbook so please bare with me. Including high praise for Google below. For starters I have always used windows and I was using a Surface Book 2 (which i LOVED). However, I really felt like it was overkill for what I needed. I really needed a media consumption device as well as device for outlook and word/excel. I have always heard of Chromebooks but I never thought it would be worth while. I went to BestBuy and decided to spend $1000 on a laptop made by google that only allowed me to download apps from an appstore and not from the internet. Let me tell you....what a GOOD decision. I am actually blown away by Google. I have always used Google and never owned a single Google device nor needed to purchase anything from them. I have dealt with Microsoft, Apple, Dell and Lenovo customer support and typically they are all the same..Friendly but useless. I contact Pixelbook support and they were not only friendly and knowledgeable but just because I told them I liked the product so far they emailed me a $10 gift card to the play store...who does that now a days? Pros/Cons below... Pros: 1. Incredible build quality. 2. TrackPad is Macbook Esq (which no one comes close too). 3. The high specs justify the price. (Most chrome books half half the specs and really are slow. 4. Has every App that I need. 5. Pretty solid keyboard. 6. Most important. GOOGLE SUPPORT. They are frankly...well..INCREDIBLE. Cons: 1. Chrome OS prevents you from downloading anything from the internet. 2. Those Bezzles...come on Google it is 2018 (came out holiday 2017 but still). All and all I am fairly confident that Chrome OS will make a run not just in the education market but the business sector. This does everything and everything for me and I have never been so excited for a piece of technology ever...and I am a millenial. Hope this review helps!

My wife loves her android tablet and did not want to get a Windows or Apple laptop, so I got this Chrome Book. The Google pixel book is lightweight, powerful, and easy for her to install her own apps from the Google Play Store. The Chrome OS is Linux-based (Unix) so it is has more security and does not have the problems that Window OS has. She likes it can be used as a tablet or laptop. And with the Google pen, it is even easier to use. Highly recommend.

I received my Pixelbook exactly when promised and in excellent condition, as promised. It was not in the factory box but was in pristine condition and indistinguishable from new. The battery showed 102% of rated capacity with only 3 cycles used. The usage test showed 9.8 hours of use on a full charge. That is awesome. The screen was bright with no dead pixels and the keyboard and trackpad were perfect. I would happily buy again.

I was looking for a replacement for my old 2009 mac book pro. I am a teacher and since we are mostly doing everything using google and web-based, I decided to give this a try and I have to say that I am very please. This Chromebook is performing as advertised. Very fast performance and the design is excellent. The keyboard is one of the best keyboards I have ever sued. I will definitely recommend this Pixel book to every one.

Despite being a long-time Mac user, I purchased a Google Pixelbook for my wife. The build quality equals my MacBook Pro and Chrome OS is very easy to set up and learn. It is also very secure and all work is automatically backed up. With i5 CPU, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD it is more than adequate for everyday use. The screen is sharp and clear. I only wish that some some of my specialized productivity Mac apps could be run on the Pixelbook!

I found this as an open box deal...brand new, so the price was perfect. It's a beautiful 2 in 1 laptop with a gorgeous display. Converting it into a tablet is a pleasure and it's just the right weight and size. It connected to my pixel 4 with no problem. The pen was a little expensive but found it cheaper and it makes the experience even better. I don't regret this purchase in any way.

I've had a few different laptops (Hp, Dell and MacBook) in the past. Just recently switched over from MacBook Air to the PixelBook and let me just say laptop is by far my favorite! Never going back. It's slim, lightweight and easily portable. Folds into a tablet and it's so easy to use- both in laptop mode and tablet mode. Touch screen works great! Also, easily compatible with mobile devices!

I bought the Pixelbook on sale mostly as a hobbyist's xtra device. I'd heard about Linux apps eventually becoming an option and that the PB would be the first of the bunch to get that option. I'm still waiting for Linux apps to trickle down to the stable channel (which probably won't actually happen til the end of the year), so I really haven't gotten much use out of the PB. Every positive claim made about the PB is true, though: great display, great keyboard for its size, well made, fast and great at what it does. The downside is that what it does is browser-based, and no number of Android apps can make up for a chromebook's inability to run software (like MS Office or any Adobe app) that's installed locally on the machine. Long story short: if you're in the market for a chromebook and you're familiar with what chromebooks do, then you can't do any better. On the other hand, if you're looking at the PB & wondering if it's going to be the perfect replacement for your aging laptop or desktop, then you stand a good chance of being disappointed, unless at least more than 90% of what you do on any computer is surf the web.

A lot of reviews get hung up on what the Google Pixelbook CAN'T do, not being a "real" PC or Mac. But if you're looking for an amazing keyboard and trackpad, stunning display, instant on with no downtime for bloated operating systems that you don't need 90% of the legacy functionality, super fast USB-C charging out of the box without having to buy more expensive accessories...I could go on. This thing is perfect for me.

This is my first Chromebook. I scored it on sale for $300 off list. It's fast, has great build quality and the screen looks great. This is another example of Google showing how well a product can be built. I can run Android apps as well as Chrome apps. I think this beats the new Slate tablet on price vs features,

I really have enjoyed the Pixelbook. It is a beautiful machine and has a nice, responsive keyboard. Google Chrome does all that I need as far as accessing the internet goes. I'm making myself learn to use Google Docs. It has been a bit of a transition going from Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, etc. but I'm able to do the work I need to do. I moved from a MacBook Pro and have no regrets and no buyer's remorse at all.

Many people told me not to buy this for University, but it has proved a great resource. The product is light, easy-to-use, has good battery life, and does everything (and more) that I need it to do. The only issue I've had is with the Outlook app, and I would never be against Google to continue making their products/services better. PS. Microsoft Software is often faulty, and Excel is the only service that I use instead of Google suite.

Glad I finally took the leap into Chrome OS. Computer is fast, efficient, aesthetically very attractive and comfortable to use. Battery life is great. Well worth the price. The weight is well balanced--many other smaller laptops are top-heavy because of the placement of components. I use it almost exclusively for browsing and spreadsheets , and it handles these tasks very easily.
