The mower itself is amazing! That earns 5 stars. The mower uses two rechargeable batteries. They both worked on the first mow. I but both back to recharge and noticed that one of the batteries on the recharging station was flashing red. Come to find out that battery won’t take or hold a charge. Tried switching sides to see if it was the charger itself. Was really disappointed in this as the mower itself cuts beautifully and is a workhorse.

I've always managed to avoid mowing the lawn, but once we bought this mower I've actually enjoyed taking a turn mowing once in a while. This mower is impressively powerful and cuts like a gas powered mower, but is SO much quieter. The self propelled function is very strong and really moves the mower quickly at the highest setting. The mower is so light that I really only use it when mowing the steep ditch at the front of our house. We have close to 1/4 acre of yard to mow and we have finally managed to mow fast enough to get the entire yard done without having to recharge the batteries. The batteries recharge fairly quickly though so it's not unreasonable to split a larger mowing job up over the day. (Or just buy a second set of batteries.) The light on the front of the mower is an additional handy feature, as there were some evenings over the summer that I mowed until it was dark out due to the heat during the day. I also love that this mower can be stored upright, or even hanging on a wall, because it takes up less floor space in our garage. Lastly, when this mower first shipped, the box was fairly torn up and one of the two bolts and knobs for assembling the handle together was missing. I contacted Greenworks and they were quick to ship me a new set. I was very happy with their customer service when I called in. Every person I spoke to was friendly and very helpful. (I do recommend calling as soon as their call center opens to avoid long wait times. Also, have the serial number of your mower on hand when you call.)

This is a great product. Easy to set up and very easy to use. Much reduced noise compared to my neighbors lawn mowers. Cuts very neatly. Battery is also quick to charge. Would have preferred a longer lasting battery

I really wanted to love this mower. It's a solid build and cuts the grass well. But very unfortunately, the battery is a huge issue and needs to be upgraded. They say that you can cut the lawn for about 45 mins. That is not really the case and simply depends on how high the grass is. Especially during the spring when the grass grows crazily, the mower can only run about 25 mins. However, if I cut the grass every three days, there is no problem for the mower to run that long to finish my backyard. It's a really frustrating thing when I have to recharge one time before finishing the yard.

I've been looking at different battery operated mowers since i spent $150 getting my gas mower serviced last year. I don't have a massive yard, normally takes about 45 minutes to mow, and having read some reviews, i saw most saying they got about 45 minutes use out of the batteries before it died. I can confirm i get around 45 minutes worth of mow time, so typically i'm nearly done, or have finished everything just in time for the batteries to die. I have ordered a spare battery that i can use, but they have been on back order. Very impressed with the mower, very quiet. Like having the ability to set the speed of the self propelled motors. Feel on the highest setting it's dragging me faster than i want to go, but i'm able to dial it back, and then slide it onto full power when i'm walking up the slope of my back yard. Putting the mower together was super easy. Took longer to take everything out of the box than it did to put it together. Box is well packaged and very well supposed to prevent damage. I'm hoping to buy a trimmer & edge from the same brand so i don't have to invest in more batteries.

Unless you have a small yard this mower will not replace a gas mower. I purchased it to mow my bank. It is light and works well for that. The batteries have one bar left after about 25 minutes. The advertised 45 may be pushing it, but as I said it works for what I wanted.

Very reliable, silent and powerful equipment. Easy to use, store and clean. The two batteries last enough to cut my grass, extending its use when not running the rear wheels traction and just pushing during walking. Very happy with this purchase, no gas fumes, no gas to store. Perfect, clean energy, green!!!

This lawn mover is easy to operate, and works very well! What I like about it: 1) Self propelled and the speed is easy to adjust. 2) batteries last a long time (I mow my lawn then run it down the street about a block mow that lawn and return home, I also use one of there same batteries to operate a blower - it still has energy to spare when I arrive home again) 2) Grass catcher is easy to attach. 3. I like the height adjustment as it adjusts with little to no effort. 4) It is rugged 5. Batteries charge quickly 6) Nice clean grass cut 7) folds and stores nicely What I do not like: actually I cannot think of anything I do not like. I give this item 5 stars and highly recommend!

Easy to start. Cut easily and runs smoothly. It's a great lawn mower. I hope the batteries last at least 2 years. That I'm not sure of. Really love everything about it so far.

Great product for price. Happy I purchased this lawnmower. First battery powered lawnmower and was not disappointed. Easy to set up and use. Really like the ability to store unit. I would recommend this lawnmower to friends and family.

Very good power and can handle anything without the smell and loud motor of gas. Doesn't handle my yard in one charge, which is the only reason I rated it 4 instead of 5.

Great mower!!!! Love I don’t have to deal with buying gas. so far I can do my front and back yard in one charge. If your grass is to tall it will drain batteries. They don’t take long to charge back up an hour or little longer. Light weight easy maintenance.

I love the mower. Its quiet and cuts well. I use the bagging option. The height adjustment is so easy. My only complaint is the battery life. I have a .24 acre lot and most of it is house driveway and garage. If I use the self propelled option on low I will run out of battery with 200-300 square feet left to cut. I have one other gripe, they recommend you clean the underneath after each use. But you can not was it down with the hose.

Light weight but very sturdy! Have always used a gas mower but love this battery powered mower! Can mow the whole lawn in one charge. Really easy to empty, would recommend!

Great lawn mower! Super easy to use right out of the box. Batteries stayed charged (and had life left) after we were finished mowing, but we also have a pretty small yard. Lightweight and easy to maneuver. Highly recommend.

Works so well! Easy to maneuver, I don't use the propelling function. Quiet and cuts so evenly. I don't have a huge yard or an extremely thick lawn so I have been able to cut my whole lawn with the fully charged batteries.

I hope i never have to go back to a gas mower breathing in those fumes they put out and so much noise, don't get me wrong this guy is far from silent but with my headphones on its just my music. the only thing I wish was better was the battery life it says up to 45min i got about 33 which is almost exactly enough to go over my whole lawn once fingers crossed they don't degrade too quickly if they did i'd rather stop and charge them in between than go back to gas

Very user friendly .. quiet and best part is that I don’t have to smell the gas in my shed !

quiet, and easy to use. It has turbo mode, to pick up some leaves. Also the battery charges fast. Like the battery use as USB charging feature.

Great machine. We no longer have to pay someone the cut our grass. Very quite and powerful lawn mower. Love it
