This was recommended to me by friends who are also doing podcasts and it came in handy this past week when I had to record myself and 3 guests at the same time. It is very simple to use and works well. I can recommend it to anyone needing to record multiple people at the same time, if you have the right type of microphones (XLR).

This recorder is beyond amazing! The sound is fantastic! It’s a nice, crystal clear sound! It’s easy to use and works well for anyone wanting to record, film, make a podcast etc.

I've been recording a band using a mixer and outboard gear into Pro Tools while also running everything into the Zoom as an additional reference. I can't get the same kind of separation of tracks, but the sound quality overall is still comparable. I can really see myself using this a lot while on the go to record quick sketches and at home when I don' want to take the time to set up my studio recording rig. Very "handy" indeed" and sounds good to boot.

I purchased the Zoom because I needed to capture at least 4 discrete channels of audio for my videos. Out of the box the H6 allows me to capture 4 XLR inputs along with the X/Y mics for general sound pickup. Controlling gain on each mic is as simple as adjusting the knobs. While the knobs are numbers 1-10 for gain control I wish they were numbered in dB instead making adjustments a little easier. I hope to get the extra options such as the 2 extra XLR inputs and the remote control for even more veratility.

I needed a recording device and had already owned the Zoom H5. I wanted to try the Zoom H6 and glad that I did! It came with two capsules and each one has a great pickup pattern. There are 4 XLR inputs that you can also connect a phono plug as well. I believe you can also plug in your guitar straight into it since it already has it's on amp.

The H6 is a huge upgrade from the H4 which has major battery life problems. The H6 gives you three powering options: 4 AA batteries, a USB cord that you can plug(via a iphone plug) into the wall, or to charged USB battery. I've used on one project thus far and it sounded great.

This little handy device is great for mobile recording without haven’t to lug too much gear. The pres are slightly noisy compared to the actual zoom field recorders, but those cost so much more money so I think the H6 is great for what it is. I just purchased the shotgun extension and I’m exited to use it!

As much buzz as the Zoom cameras are getting, this handy device is really the superstar ! The sound quality and applications with this are terrific. I can use my Canon Rebel camera with it's top quality video and combine it with this for superior audio. Well worth looking into this product !

I'm a professional videographer and the H6 has allowed me to capture so many great moments. Good video is worthless without great audio. That's why I highly recommend that you use this for Videography.

Best device I've bought for podcasting. Truly mobile now. 4 xlr ports with phantom power. Great device!

I am a film major in college, and recently decided to look into getting my own equipment. If you are wanting a good, long lasting recorder this is the one for you. I have had no problems with it, and it has made it beyond easy to capture great audio. Would recommend.

Easy to use and the sound is great. Only issue I have is when I wanted to just use the microphones that come with it to record myself checking sound levels is hard. Best to have a lavalier or hand mic for recording yourself.

I upgraded from the TASCAM DR40 which was a solid recorder but this one just does so much more. The lo cut filters and preamps make this audio so crisp with basically nothing left to do in post.

I conduct field interviews in a variety of settings. The four xlr plug-ins are great for more than just a two person interview compared to the H4N.

Great portable recorder and interface . There has been a warning that you can lose a channel if you do not turn off the phantom power before you unplug , so be aware
