The Hercules DJ Control Starlight is a surprising punch for its size and price. It is brilliantly portable, Serato-ready, and fun to use, and making it a standout practice or travel controller. While it's not suited for full-scale professional gigs, it excels for beginners and DJs on the move. Easy to transport, it fits in my backpack. On-the-go setup while waiting for the next flight, cueing via headphones.

It’s a great beginners controller for compact spaces and it’s really affordable for all the functions it has. It has a built-in sound card that would allow you to use headphones and have an output to speakers. You can use it with your phone or laptop. I’ve already played at two parties with this controller.

Works well for what I need it to do, fairly small and compact, and works with serato. It is technically sending midi signals, so if you have it on while using a daw, you might have some very deep noises on your headphones. 4/5 pretty good

It's too hot or miss. I've figured out how to set settings again and again and it's just constantly deciding to cream it temps swings without having the more turned on. I'm pretty sure these are old and dead as far as deeper goes. Pretty disappointed in the build quality and the quality of the audio through external out computer speakers despite reconnecting etc. At one point was working well and could be mapped to anything. I bought it in October. And the warranty process is a Harley I want best buy to step on but their company has become a really poor place to by any consumer device imo.

This is a great little mobile device. Good for house parties or get togethers. I saw this is better than the Numark version. Recommend

I haven’t tried it yet, but I’m very excited about this. I hope it works well. It looks as pictured and I have downloaded the software, so I’m ready. Now just for the computer to be fixed.

Excellent controller for the price - good feel to the buttons, etc. Serato DJ Live Lite is a decent program too. Only small downside is that there is a dial that can be toggled between a basic Bass EQ +/- and a high-low pass filter sweep. When you switch between the two it jumps to whatever new value the knob outputs when it gets moved again. And so say you cut the bass (full left turn) and then switch and go full on the high pass (right) - when you toggle back to the bass it will be where you left in the audio output but once you move the dial from the right the Bass EQ will jump all the way up to that new input value - which can be quite jarring depending on the music, etc. Its useful at song transitions where you can fade but not very practical for using in the middle of a track - you kind of are forced to chose one effect or the other. The audio jacks are also both 1/8th inch which is a bit understandable due to the size of the unit - but still I wish the audio out at least was a 1/4 jack. Ah well. Still better than the Numark mixer in the same price range.
