So originally I was worried that my 65" TV wouldn't be big enough for my apartment. I wanted the home theater experience. Well after 8 years of a 40" TV as my main screen this is a drastic improvement. Dolby Vision looks incredible on this screen. The 1000 nits makes a difference, as I can see the image in bright light without any issues. The screen does not glare and the small bezel looks very nice.
The interface is pretty good, I found it easy to use and customizable. Sitting eight feet away, the TV definitely takes up the majority of my line of site. I haven't used it for gaming as I have a 144 hz monitor connected to my gaming rig for that purpose. I'm looking forward to playing my Switch on it soon though.
The blacks and the colors look great, you can fine tune as you like. I keep it in theater mode for the most part.
If you're spending as much on this TV as I did, do yourself a favor and get some external speakers. I just use some Edifier S2000 MKIII bookshelf speakers and I'm happy enough but if you're a big kid get a surround sound 5.1 system at the and make the most of it. Even a 3.1 system with some standing speakers, a center channel and a sub will make a world of difference because let's face it, modern TV's speakers aren't great. They work... but you should look for a better audiophile experience.
I found it easy to wall mount I used an echogear mount which I'm quite happy with. The TV honestly doesn't weigh too much and my wall hasn't complained yet. The TV is thin and easy to pick up with two people.
Get yourself a H9G it's worth it over the H8G which is 300 nits lower, has fewer dimming zones, a more reflective screen and worse refresh rate.
Some of you are going to want HDMI 2.1. This doesn't have it. Thing is, even higher end gaming PC's struggle to display 4K games past 60 fps. I would love to have 2.1 but this is a budget premium TV and I can't say that it lacking the newer port is a deal breaker for me. For a lot of you, it will be, but if you're primarily using this for streaming movies you'll be pleased.
Disney+ on this TV is a challenge though. If you watch something in Dolbyvision, it's beautiful on the screen but the sounds are horrible. It sounds like everything is being played through a tin can under water. Every other streaming service does this well. Disney's 4K content that doesn't have Dolbyvision sounds fine but for some TV's this is a real pain.
Hopefully those kinks will get worked out later down the road. For now, I say dig in and enjoy your new H9G.

I've had this TV for two months and I'm just now reviewing it! This TV right here is the last TV you'll need. Full stop. Brightness,Color,Contrast,Motion, Clarity. this TV is immaculate in it's performance that beats the Sony TVs in the same price range! This TV is an HDR beast. Highlights get way past the 1000 nit claim on the box. The Quantum Dot Color tech makes colors appear like the 4th of July. The TV displays deep, vibrant plus neon colors that only people who have QLEDS have seen. Also the Blacks get VERY VERY black. Keep Local Dimming on high and you have blacks on par with OLEDs Whenever the TV transitions to another input or a black loading screen, Your room (if dark) will get pitch black. This is the best TV I have owned and I have no regrets! No red ghosting or anything like that I've heard. The price for the 65" has gotten past 1000 but if you can find it for around 1000 and you aren't a NEXT GEN gamer and don't care about HDMI 2.1 then this is definitely for you. If you want gaming features look at the Hisense U8G or U7G

Purchased this back in June 26 and got delivered on July 2nd. I wanted to wait a few months to write a review.
Our previous tv was a 40inch Magnavox HD LCD which still works just fine but we needed an upgrade. This is our first 4K tv and let’s just say this tv is incredible.
We don’t really game and mainly use it to stream YouTube, Netflix, Disney+, Prime, and other services.
Pros:
- price won’t break the bank
- deep black levels, not OLED level but pretty good
- rich colors in 4K and HDR are eye popping
- Google/Android tv is pretty simple and snappy
- nice build quality
Cons:
- the internal storage isn’t much, will fill up quickly with the bigger streaming apps
- red blur ghosting during Netflix Dolby Vision shows
- would like to have bigger than 65inch
Conclusion:
The red blur ghosting is annoying but I only notice it during Netflix Dolby Vision shows. Hopefully a firmware can fix the issue. It also needs more internal storage.
I might do a factory reset and buy an external hard drive for all the apps that we use but we’ll see.
After 6months plus of usage, we are happy with the purchase. We enjoy it as a family watching a variety of different shows. Paid under $1000 for ours, there other TVs out there that cost more but won’t be as good as the H9G in picture quality and price.

This TV is absolutely amazing!!!!! When I first turned it on, I was impressed at the picture quality but this was only the start. Once it detects the media and automatically changes the video settings, the picture improves tremendously. The screen is so bright and colorful. I watched Avengers: Endgame on my 4K TV a few days before I got the Hisense 65H9G. To compare, i started Avengers: Endgame again and when it changed the settings to movie, it was just like being at the movie theaters when I saw it in IMAX. The picture was amazing with the HDR and Quantum Dot showed the difference between bright and vibrant scenes and scenes where it was meant to dark and grim.
Seeing the difference it made to movies, I had to try on gaming mode. I played Destiny 2 and adjusted the HDR settings before playing. Once the games started and I was playing, it was nothing I have experienced before. The colors were so vibrant and saturated and the dark areas and blacks showed things like never before. On the one loading screen, there was some white pattern areas that I never saw before because the black was not dark enough. The full array local dimming created black areas like the screen was off. The frame rate change was noticeable and improved the gameplay.
AndroidTV is great especially since I have all androids for phones and tablets. I was able to connect and sync all my apps and made for very easy and seamless set up. Any app I wanted was available for download and I continue to try different apps on the TV. I keep finding new things everyday and continue to love this TV. I got to pay a discounted price for this TV but it performs like TV 2 to 4 times as much as it. It is such a great TV and can not recommend it enough.

I am so amazed with this TV. First off, It looks great with a very small, almost unnoticeable bezel - really nice design! Secondly, setup is a breeze - super easy. With a few quick software upgrades and very little effort, I got the TV up and running in about 10 minutes with a beautiful picture right out of the box. The preset video options are quite good too. I especially love the Movie Theater setting. The Hisense interface is user friendly and a snap to figure out. I made just a few of my own adjustments to the brightness and contrast in no time. The screen appearance auto calibrates to the surroundings and the media source as well. Once I entered my google log in info, the TV automatically fills in my sign in user name and passwords for Netflix and Amazon Prime - how simple is that. The Picture is stunning with tons of detail and contrast (I didn’t notice any “blooming” or ghost imaging) This rivals TV’s costing twice the price. The Dolby Vision HDR makes the colors vibrant and the blacks inky deep. Images really pop! The sound is good too, not bad for a flat screen, decent highs with ample low end - movie dialogue is prominent and easy to hear. The remote control is basic but good enough. Plus the Google voice activated commands simplifies finding shows to watch and adjusting volume etc. And if you don’t want the TV to ‘listen’ to you, it’s easy to turn off the mic at a physical switch below the panel. Hisense has really impressed me with this TV. I can hardly believe it sells for less than $1000. What a great deal! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

I honestly was not expecting such a premium TV, the blacks, the colors, the brightness. This can easily compete with an oled brand. For the price you are getting good quality. I got the 65 inch model. I do not see blooming on small bright logos on dark scenes, I've heard the 55 inch does. So go for the 65 inch model you won't regret it. I am very happy with this TV. I tottally recommend i, gaming on my ps4 pro looks awesome.

The Hisense 65” H9G TV off the bat has pretty amazing stereo sound and picture quality. The picture quality and the colors on this TV are amazing, the colors are crisp and bright and vibrant and the picture quality is sharp and amazing and everything on the TV just pops out. The setup process only took me about two minutes to complete and have my Hisense Android TV connected to internet. I prefer to use ethernet over Wifi more much stable connection for streaming and to my surprise works pretty well without any lags. I really like to Google assist feature without me having to use the remote. I was able to turn on /off, reduce/increase volume and much more without the use of remote and just using Google assist directly from the TV. I also like the four HDMI and composite ports. The setting and TV menu is pretty simple and straight forward, make it easy for anyone to understand and make adjustments. So far the only thing I dislike is the remote, which still uses IR. It would have been a plus to have a Bluetooth remote. In order for the remote to work properly you have to keep the remote front of the TV which is kind a disappointing. It would have been nicer to have a longer power cord as it seems the one that comes with the TV is a bit small. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review.

First out of the box, this TV is massive, not an inch of waste when it comes to screen view! The hook up was super easy and intuitive and the picture clarity and sound is amazing, my family can't wait for movie night! I can't get over the deep blacks and bright colors, it really captures your attention! The apps are plentiful and easy to navigate around. I love the ease of switching between Netflix, TV, YouTube etc. by using the voice commands. No need to press buttons for input and multiple steps to change what we’re watching. They have shortcut buttons which makes it a breeze. Our rainy weekend was spent doing a Star Wars marathon watch with my kids. It turned a fun movie into an experience! The whole series felt so much more engaging and pulled us into the action of the movie! The colors ad picture quality was hands down the best I have seen! Even my gaming experience was elevated with the picture quality. I can't wait to spend more time experiencing my new Hisense TV! Let the adventure begin! My wife and I spent several weeks looking a various big screen TVs to replace our aging LED LCD set. We decided to purchase the Hisense TV since we could purchase a 4K Quantum Dot display for much less than options from other companies. After several weeks of enjoying this awesome Quantum Dot TV, I can truly say I am impressed with the image quality, especially at this price point. The picture looks clear and vibrant, especially with animated media like Pixar movies or Video Games. I didn’t notice any ghosting effects due to fast action in Movies and Sports. The standard setting makes some features like people’s skin too vibrant, but using the “Theater Night” setting for Picture fixed this issue. I do recommend using the “Theater Night” setting for most users since this provides the most natural looking skin tones.
I have been a long time Roku User, buying multiple Roku boxes for myself and family, but I have to say Roku has met its match in Android TV. The Interface is based on content than providers and makes it finding new content to watch much more intuitive and fun. Similar to Roku, providers each have an App you can use, but Android TV’s ability to link content to providers makes it special. I was able to find an App for all content providers like Disney+ and Amazon Prime that are available on Roku, except 1. Android TV also comes with a nice screen saver that shows professional photos, similar to Windows 10 log in screen, which is a very nice touch.
The remote control has a nice layout and keys for all major functions, including a key to activate the mic to talk to Android TV. The only thing I would like Hisense to add to future models is the ability to program external devices like sound bars to work on the remote. I was able to program my Logitech Harmony report to have single remote for all my devices. The TV has multiple HDMI inputs and several audio outputs, including an Optical output I use for my Polk Audio sound bar, which fits nicely below the TV. One nice feature is that you can directly go to any input without having to cycle through each input (which is a pain after a while). I’m unable to comment on the audio since I use a sound bar for all my TV watching. The TV has a place to organize and route your cables on the back of the set, which is also compatible with wall mounting. The bezel around the screen is thin and the overall aesthetics look modern and well made. I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review

I love this TV. I've had it for 7 months as of this review and am just as impressed now as when I first got it. I regularly find myself in awe of HDR content and how bright and colorful the image is. 99% of the time we're watching content via the built in apps and the 4K HDR & Dolby Vision looks incredible.
The only quirk I've noticed is the TV will start to get laggy if it's not shut down all the way. Instead of just hitting the 'off' button I hold it down for a second and then I select Shut Down. This does take longer at start-up but ensures it runs smoothly. They should probably put a stronger processor in there to fix this.

So I just activated unboxed the new H9 Quantum Series android TV by Hisense. My initial impressions or quite positive. The set up was incredibly easy and only took about 3 minutes before I'm streaming videos online. The sound quality is much better than my last TV and I don't even need to use the sound bar to have amazing sound. I am now watching A Rolling Stones concert and the sound is amazing. The picture quality is outstanding and I love having 4K quality image. The smart interface on the TV is quite easy to use and since it's connected to my cell phone I am able to push videos back-and-forth quite easy. I can't wait to watch a movie this weekend. I just watched the new Top Gun trailer and it will be amazing on the new TV. "I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review”.

I haven't even had the time time explore all of the television's capabilities, but so far I am AMAZED by the picture quality. I immediately took it off energy saving mode, set it to Theater Day, and made a few other adjustments to my liking, and man the picture quality looks phenomenal!!! I searched some 4k, UHD, and Dolby Vision content on Netflix and Amazon and let me tell you, the colors, black levels, and detail look SOOOO AMAZING!! Even none 4k content looks amazingly crisp. Set up was a breeze. The quality, feel, and look of this set are PREMIUM...it's the nicest television I've ever owned. And I've always had nothing but Samsung and Sony. Those "high end" brands need to step up their game. Hisense knocked it out of the park with this one!! Absolutely beautiful television. Nice job!!

For the last few years, I thought we were living the good life with our TVs that were either “smart” or connected to “smart” devices. Well, the Hisense H9G Quantum has completely given us a new outlook on things because our viewing pleasure has been greatly improved.
First off, the overall setup was quick. From unboxing to attaching the legs, it was easy and just needed another person to assist when lifting to be safe. There are also directions on how to mount it if you prefer that option as well. Next, it was on-screen setup pieces and I didn’t find this terribly awful. It’s nice to be up to date from the get-go. Connecting all of my devices to it was super easy with 4 HDMI ports, 2 USBs, and 1 Digital Optical Output as well as an Ethernet jack. The next piece for me was setting up the apps. I thought this was easy to figure out and modify the Home screen to what I wanted there. I love the AndroidTV UI and how it intelligently provides recommendations from each app. One slight issue here is that I can't find a way to parental lock apps yet. It's only there for channels and inputs.
I was very impressed with the picture quality and the refresh rate. The 65H9G Quantum is a 4K ULED with Dolby Vision Dolby Atmos. It really gives that theater experience and I tested that through our attached 4K media player. We were in awe over Captain Marvel and Avengers - End Game in full 4K beauty. We could really see the Quantum Dot Wide Color Gamut and the Native 120hz (480 Motion Rate) with all of the action. Since I started when it was light outside, I also got to utilize the Peak Brightness and Full Array Local Dimming Zones as it darkened. We also enjoyed experimenting with the 7 presets for the picture and audio modes. Of course, you can also manually adjust things in the settings for what you desire.
I know some will consider this a “budget” TV, but I would say the previously mentioned specs experiences might sway them. AndroidTV’s presence gives you a have the built-in Google Assistant right on the unit and that can be used when the screen is on or off. It worked great in both scenarios for our smart functions.
All in all, I think the Hisense 65H9G Quantum would be a great addition to any room with the clarity of the picture on that slim, sleekly designed bezel. It makes it super versatile for sports, movies, and gaming fun for all. I can't recommend it enough.

Bought the 65" and can't say enough great things about this set. The 4k HDR is just stellar and the blacks rival that of an OLED.
Its only knock could be not having HDMI 2.1 especially since the panel is 4k 120hz as is.
Have gotten the Xbox One X to run in 1080p @ 120hz and 4k 60hz but does not seem to support the 1440p 120hz Xbox update.
Tried to capture the great level of blacks and there is no light bloom to the naked eye.

I purchased this TV because it was a great deal and I for one, never really cared about all the bells and whistles that come with a newer TV. Hisense replaced an older 65 inch smart Tv that I have had for several years and I thought it was the best out there, I was wrong!! This one Blows it away by miles right out of the box! Installed the legs (Phillips head screwdriver) and plugged it in! I think there were two updates after connecting to my Wifi, which was so simple! The picture quality was UNBELIEVABLE ! the colors were sharp and true. The how I was watching looked as if I was right there watching from within the actual show itself. the water scenes made me feel like I was watching from a balcony above the ocean, so crisp and sharp! I can't wait to watch NFL on it. I nice added bonus was the fact that "Chromecast is built in so I can cast from my PC. without any added equipment. I am so impressed with it !! I just purchased a sound bar as well to complete the experience ! All I can say is WOW !! I received this product at a discounted price in exchange for my review

Let me start by saying that I am a brand loyalist when it comes to choosing TV. For the past 20 years whenever I had to change TV due to technology or size, I always considered Sony and then Samsung flagship models. I have an 82 inch QLED Samsung that was purchased last year and my review will be based on that. This Hisense TV is replacing my 60-inch bedroom Samsung flagship model UN60ES8000 when a blue line on the screen started showing up and was expensive to fix. Decided to look for a cheaper budget friendly alternative that would deliver similar quality of brightness and picture with minimal or thin bezel. I was glad, that H9G exactly fit the bill and the quality that I was looking for. Honestly, I was not expecting much with this brand, until I received this unit and unboxed it.
What is in the box: Hisense 65-inch TV well packaged, remote, 2 feet/stand, 4 screws, manual, remote.
After unpacking the tv, the feet were hidden inside in the packaging and was not expecting 2 feet in the shape of a bottle opener as stand but was very easy to install. It comes marked with right and left imprints and will align in one direction only so it cannot be assembled wrong. With four screws, the TV was up and running in less than 3 minutes.
Setup: Once the TV is switched on for the first time, it was asking to acknowledge and provide permissions for location services. Once done, asked for the Gmail account and once provided, it asked to enter a link on your phone or computer for easy setup. I don’t have android device and thought I need to do setup manually but, with iOS device, it was pretty much the same. Just enter the link on your browser, and grant permission for easy setup. In less than 10 minutes, it was all done including the firmware update. This is my first android TV and the look of the home screen is so intuitive with all different apps. Very impressed on the initial picture quality of the store demo videos (see attached pictures). Deep black and perfect color and brightness and for a minute, I couldn’t believe it was a budget TV that delivers the quality of OLED.
This TV offer a full-array local dimming LED backlight 180 zones, 10 bit, 3840 x 2160(4K UHD) panel with 1000 nits of peak brightness and is the reason for great HDR images(supports HDR 10 and Dolby Vision). After switching the TV to home mode, started calibrating. For my home setup, Theater day was optimal setting. Tweaked some settings, adjusted the backlight, color, brightness, contrast and switched off the motion enhancement, clearness, noise reduction, digital noise reduction, active contrast in the advanced settings and applied that to all my sources (attached pictures of my calibrated setting for reference if anyone interested). Once this is done and when I change the sources to watch apple or fire tv it detects HDR Bright or Dolby Vision for the content. When switched to Theater night it switches to HDR dark which is super cool feature that my other Tv’s are lacking.
Remote: Included remote is basic look but has some dedicated buttons for Netflix, prime video, youtube and google play which is a good feature and eliminates multiple remotes and clicks for navigating to this apps. Also, out the box this remote is not Bluetooth enabled and is IR and needs straight line of sight, but once the remote is paired by press and hold the = button for 3 seconds within 10 feet from TV it changes to Bluetooth enabled remote and once done it controls fire tv and apple tv automatically based on inputs including play, pause, forward and rewind options. You do have a dedicated button for google assistant if you need for voice commands which is quite handy rather yelling from a distance.
Ports: on the back right side, it has 2 USB DC 5V – 0.5A(max), 3 HDMI 4k @60Hz ports (1 ARC), headphone jack(3.5mm) and antenna/cable(coax). This TV does not support eARC, VRR (variable refresh rate 4K 120Hz picture performance or auto low latency mode like most 2020 models support which is a drawback. On the bottom side of the TV is the Digital Audio Out (Toslink optical cable), 1 HDMI 4k@60 Hz, LAN, AV in slots. On the left is power input and the included cord is little shorter comparatively. On the front of the TV you have an indicator lights that glows white when its powered off and there is a microphone switch for the google assistant control that can be turned off for privacy if required. If you select screenless mode in the settings > Device Preferences, you can just say the keyword “OK Google” even when the TV is powered off.
Picture/Sound: Picture and sound quality is on par with high end flagship competitor models. I received 2 updates of firmware in the past 3 days of using it. It does take 10 minutes to get it updated and not to mess with it when its updating. There is no way of rejecting the update and its quite annoying when it pops up when watching something interesting and interrupts you to update. I did update to the firmware 0100AJK0603 but within 2 days it asked me to update to K0725 and the updates includes, improve user experience and some minor fixes. But after updating this unit to the latest firmware made more brighter and had to recalibrate the settings little bit to get used to. Picture quality it delivers with decent blacks and colors are accurate and rich. Audio is good from the TV speakers but have a sound bar with subwoofer that I use so no complains on that.
Overall, there are some con’s on this TV like motion stuttering, lack of VRR and eARC, auto low latency for gaming it overcomes the Pro’s that this TV has to offer with excellent picture of black levels, HDR, color, contrast ratio, brightness. Also, this TV is affordable and doesn’t break your bank for the features it offers with easy to use android OS, hands free voice control, thin bezel design. So, if you are on the market for a budget 65 inch TV then this unit will not disappoint you with picture quality and don’t think further.

The TV came in a nicely packed box and it was easy to unbox and install. The installation process was easier than I thought. I plugged the TV to the outlet and Home Theather system (5.1.2) and put some 4K videos on Youtube and Netflix, the picture quality is amazing. The color and sound quality are amazing as well. The TV adjustes the light settings based on the room light. It seemed as if I was looking at 3D images without 3D glasses.

Great tv especially for the price, no issues so far and picture quality is on par with other more expensive big brand tv companies. This is my first Hisense brand product and not being one of the popular name brands I wasn't sure what to expect. When it comes to TV's, the most important feature is the picture quality. Without that, nothing else really matters. I have to say, this TV exceeded all of my expectations in that regard.
Straight out of the box with no adjustments or calibrations at all, the images on this TV looked amazing. 4K content is absolutely gorgeous. All of the colors just pop and the blacks are spectacularly black. This TV touts 1000 nits peak brightness. If you didn't know what a nit was before, the moment you see the picture you'll know exactly what having 1000 of them means. The picture is SO bright that at nighttime, it was hurting my eyes and I had to adjust the brightness levels down.
This TV happens to be taking over the main duties from a smaller, 55" big brand TV with similar specs. I was worried that going to a much larger screen would mean sacrificing some picture quality, but those worries turned out to be unfounded. Not only did this TV match the quality of the smaller big name brand TV, it beat it in a lot of ways.
Now as much as I love admiring the beauty of a good 4K movie, what matters to me even more is how good it performs for gaming, specifically with my xbox one x. I couldn't wait to test it out and while setting it all up, discovered that I did need to enable one option on the TV in order for it to take advantage of the HDR functionality. I then started up Forza Horizon 4, which is great for showcasing 4K graphics and seeing how well the TV can handle the frame rate. With the opening screens the graphics started blowing me away. Hopping into my car I started exploring and racing around the open world and this TV outperformed all of my expectations. The graphics were so awesome that I ended up spending more time than I planned just driving around aimlessly while in awe of the graphics. I honestly can't wait until the next generation of consoles comes out later this year and couldn't be happier knowing I already have a TV that's ready for it.
It's more than just a pretty picture though, it's smart too. It comes loaded with several popular apps and being an Android TV makes it easy to add more. I'm a cord cutter and rely solely on streaming apps. I was able to log in and use Netflix, Hulu, Prime Video, Disney+ and Youtube all without any issues. Everything just worked right away.
Streaming other devices like mobile phones and laptops to it works like a charm too. My wife is an Apple user, and quite often streams from both her iPhone and iPad. I was concerned that we might lose that ability, or at least have to jump through hoops to make it work being that this is an Android TV, but that wasn't the case at all. She was able to stream videos and images as easily as she always had.
It also has Google assistant which makes a lot of things really easy to do with a simple "Hey Google". While this is a great feature, sometimes you might want to turn it off, or you might be someone that doesn't like their TV always listening. They make it easy to do this with a manual switch at the front bottom center of the TV that allows you to turn the mic off.
This is where we get to one of my biggest negatives on this TV. When you turn off the mic, 4 small amber lights turn on, and STAY ON. These lights are distracting, and detract from whatever it is you're viewing. Turn the mic back on, the lights flash a quick bluish-white and they go away. It's almost as though they're trying to coax you into leaving the mic on. Not very cool at all.
The one (and really only) area where the "value" price shows its face is the remote control. It just feels extremely cheap and dated, like something that would have come with TV's 20 years ago. The circuitry inside of it might be too, as this remote doesn't work half the time. I find myself pressing buttons several times or getting up as close to the TV as I can to get it to work. I even replaced the included batteries with brand new quality ones in case that was the problem but the remote still had issues. Luckily Google assistant works perfect so you can just voice your commands. Otherwise, get another universal remote.
Only other negative I found is that the design of the stand legs (if used), will take up a LOT of real estate wherever it's placed. I had to shuffle some things around to make it all fit. Having a proper TV console or wall mount would fix that issue though.
Overall, especially considering the value price, this TV is more than worth it and easily competes with more expensive ones. Considering how well this TV performs and at the price point it comes in at, this easily gets a 5 star rating. The few negatives I had were more nit-picky than anything, with the worst being the remote control, but that has alternatives. Besides, no one buys a TV because of how good the remote is, they buy it because of how good the picture is, and the picture on this TV is absolutely beautiful.
