Customers are saying

Customers are satisfied with the Officejet Pro 8610's print quality, ease of use, and wireless functionality. Many appreciate its ease of setup and the inclusion of fax and scanning capabilities. However, some find the printer to be large, and a few note that it can be somewhat noisy during operation. Overall, the positive feedback on key features outweighs the negative comments regarding size and noise.

Good printer, but not for photo's

I bought this HP8610 on black Friday for a fair price but was lowered on Monday. That sucks. It looks well built and am confident that the ink yield will be better than the Canon I replaced. However, the photo quality isn't even close to my Canon MG5220. Text print is very nice. It is a fast printer, fairly quiet, and was easy to set-up.

Really happy with my HP Office Jet Pro 8610. I had the 8500 A for 5 or so years before. I was happy with that, felt I needed to update it. Couldn't be happier with getting the 8610. I love that I can print things off the app on it (i.e pictures for my son to color). It's a great printer. Con would be it is quite large and bulky.

Bought this to replace a lexmark which used alot of ink, and always had some kind of problem.. Now havent had this but a week, But easy to setup, found network, can print from every device, phone, iphone, pc a,d tablet.. prints fast nice print and color and the wife has used this hard printing pictures, compared to the lexmark, use's 60 percent less ink, give or take, does it all, the only comment i could give, is that is a little big, but only by a inch or so compared to the lexmark 901.. and the price right now is awesome if you can get it on sale with a 30 dollar gift card.. sweet

I had the 8600 and when it was beyond repair, was told by the tech on the phone that the 8610 was the upgrade with all the same features. So, I purchased it. It was very easy to set up and works great, however,I was disappointed to discover that it doesn't make 2 sided to 2 sided copies through the automatic feeder. The 8600 did that. That's why I'm rating it a 4 instead of a 5.

I just bought this printer yesterday, so far it is great. Very easy to set up. I was printing within 30 minutes. Unlike the 2 month old Brand E that is going to the rubbish. That piece of junk was a very big pain in the posterior. I would donate it but would not want some poor soul to have the aggravation.

Big improvement over my previous HP Envy series printer. I had nothing but problems with the Envy from day one. Setup on this printer was easy with my network and the quality of print is very good. It is nice to finally have a printer that prints when you want it to and doesn't eat ink like crazy.

Excellent value for Ink Jet Printer

This is a very good ink jet printer, copier, scanner, fax regardless of price. The low price and HP reputation attracted me since I was looking for a low cost wireless printer to supplement my non wireless laser printer. Print quality is very good and the printer is loaded with features. It has a big footprint and is on the bulky and heavy side compared to some other printers so for those looking for a compact, lightweight machine that doesn't take up too much space, this might not be the ideal choice

I have set up 2 of these. One for a friend and one for myself. Very simple set up and you're ready to roll quickly. Best Buy price was great, but they price matched a lower price I found, so it made it even a better deal. If you need an All-in-One, shop no longer. This is the one.

For what ever reason, I have owned several Officejet Pro Printers over the years, but this one is special! I only have to buy ink, basically once a year. It just seems to last forever and ever and I like that! Prints very well, Scans awesome. A lot of nice tools as well.

Everything I wanted in a printer to be used mainly for personal printing (articles, job search documents) and some small business tasks (invoices, shipping labels). Great quality. Have had this printer 6 months and don't have a complaint!

    A Solid Multifunction Printer

This new printer which is replacing the Officejet Pro 8600 series has a lot of features to offer. It is the "Swiss Army Knife" of printers in that it can do printing, faxing, scanning and copying Sure, you can get cheaper printers, but not one that can do it all so well. Print speeds are good but not exceptional (19 ppm (black) and 14.5 ppm (color). If you need faster speeds HP offers the 8620 and 8630 models at substantially higher prices. The print quality is stunning looking much as you would expect from a laser printer. Colors are striking and very sharp. The printer offers both a flatbed and document feeder giving you flexibility. The document feeder max is 35 sheets--quite extraordinary for a printer priced at this level. Like most newer printers, the Officejet Pro 8610 offers wireless printing. Setup was a breeze. Just use the Setup Wizard on the control panel and you will be printing wirelessly within 2 minutes! The 8610 has an input tray of 250 sheets which means you won't have to be filling up paper very often. The main downside was the installation time--nearly an hour. It consisted of (1) taking all the tape off the printer (2) installing software, (3) inserting cartridges and (4) setting up the wireless connection. None of the steps were particularly difficult, just time consuming. The wireless setup was easiest of all. The control panel offers a Setup Wizard that takes you step-by-step to go wireless. One of the options is to press the WPS button on your router and suddenly your settings are completed. I only have one other complaint and that is the size of the LCD control panel--2.65". If you need a larger panel, the 8620 and 8630 models have a 4.3" display. There is no such thing as a perfect printer, but the HP Officejet Pro 8610 does all of its tasks quite well.

Setup including adding to network was simple and straight forward. On screen functions work great. This replaced a Canon printer. The thing I do miss is a rear, straight through feed which is handy for loading different types of paper/stock.

Bought this printer at local BB after researching on line. Speed is great vs. old Epson printer. Quality of print is pretty good (maybe a 4 instead of a 5).

Well done, HP! This printer can truly do it all. I am blown away by its capabilities. It can print and scan in duplex, the speeds for both black and color are great. I finally gave in the HP Instant Ink after much resistance and it has made life so much easier. When it comes to scanning and editing PDF's, this printer is essential. Also, you MUST take advantage of the HP Print capability where you can designate a specific email to your printer and send any document to that email when you're away from home and it will print as long as the printer is connected to wifi. My only complaint with this is that I had a couple of hiccups in the past with the ink cartridges not quite registering even if they were newly replaced. Had to mess with these for a bit, but eventually worked itself out. Overall, works pretty well and has served me well for a few years now. It might be on the bulky and heavier end but not really an issue since it sits on a cart and I don't really need to move it around much. HP makes great printers.

I bought this computer to go along with the my new chromebook 2 computer! I was impressed by the features it had and I was not disappointed. The only problem I had was connected to my google chrome system cloud print and it took me 2 hrs to figure it out but I finally was able to get it to work! I love the touch screen instructions and function panel! I've had a HP printer before but decided to try another brand but it did not live up to my expectations but I think this new printer will! Will update after a couple of months use!
