I bought this for a friend who had an old clunker with an HDD. the SSD is very fast and with the memory you can run many things at once with no issue. This is so much better than her old machine. I added a large 2.5 HDD with an adapter but it would accept a 3.5 inch in the available bay. it took me a while to figure it out but you can add 2 more drives if you buy more brackets. so this is very expandable. one reason i got it. its super quiet. vga port for the monitior.great that it has a DVD player and SD card up front. more than enough USB ports.

This is a really sweet machine. It is MUCH more than I need, really. It is fast, smooth, quiet, and just plain great!

This computer is very quiet and quick. I did purchase it based on reviews and would recommend it to others seeking an updated computer for basic needs such as internet access and billing. The disc tray is not very sturdy whatsoever, made of thin plastic that catches when the drawer slides shut. It did get stuck at one point when I closed it and I had to yank on it to reopen it. Otherwise, the computer itself is reliable. At times there is a slow start and I was worried it would not boot up, but it eventually started up and I had no further issues. I did purchase the Microsoft Office 365 software which loaded smoothly. Overall I am pleased with the purchase.

I bought this computer because MS was no longer going to support the OS my Mom had plus her PC was but in 2000! I finally convinced her to get a little up to date w/today’s technology. She’s stuck on HP but at least she has something more current versus 20yrs ago. It handles her wireless options throughout the house (Hulu, Net Flix, Amazon, etc.) and surfs the I-net just great. She might multi task about 5 programs at a time and this computer runs like a champ.

I was looking for a decently priced computer primarily for recording. The computer is very fast with the solid state hard drive and has no trouble recording several audio tracks at once. The onboard wifi is fast as well. The hard drive is a bit small but I have an external hard drive to pair with it, so not a problem. For those who want to know, I am using the HP with 18i8 focusrite via Cakewalk Bandlab with Windows 10--works great.

Helped a elderly friend replace his older Dell PC tower with this HP model. Setup was easy. Selected Silver instead of Black as it was hard to see the buttons vs USB plugs on the black on black model. Vertical mounted disk player may be more difficult to operate as requires two hands to lock disk in sprocket before inserting. So far, satisfied with performance -- purchased Webroot and MS Office Suite for basic operations.

I purchased HP TP01-0014 Intel Pavilion Desktop to replace a Windows 7 computer that was no longer supported by Microsoft. This HP desktop is very quiet, and runs smoothly. I have only owned it for less than 3 weeks. My previous computers were AMD. The first one gave me problems within 7 months. The second one was very noisy, and I could not use the free windows 10 upgrade because of the graphics card. This computer is very efficient. Windows 10 is going to take some getting used to; previous versions of windows were much easier to use.

We highly recommend this Computer We did not need an expensive computer because we just pay bills, surf the internet, send emails and printing. We do not play online games. This Computer fit the bill perfectly! Reasonably priced and it packs a punch! Super fast. Windows 10. We are satisfied customers for sure. Set it up in no-time and bloatware can be safely removed. My old HP desktop was ten years old and gotten very very slow. I decided it was time to upgrade. Its only been about 25 days since I installed my new computer. So far I am very happy with my new HP desktop. I am also very pleased with the Geek squad employee who came to my home to help me with a couple of set up issues, and getting a couple of my older programs to work with Windows 10.

The machine meets and exceeds our demands operating silently. 10 does get some getting used to. Exercised all options offered including McAfee, declined to rent MS Office and components, replaced with Apache freeware. Reset Motorola modem, 10 sec off, got onto the web using the included browser. All peripherals recognized, did retain the keypad and mouse from the retired Pavilion. Salvaged all family pics from flash drives and docs sent to ourselves attached to emails. 6/20

this computer is F*A*S*T with the solid state drive. I was having problems loading pages with my last desktop and thought maybe the wireless was at fault, but the HP cured all my ills. Make sure you get the cd drive installed to give it the extra capability and it is even a few bucks cheaper.

Love these little Pavilion's! The i3 processor is a solid processor for the price and the upgraded SSD's are an absolute must, plus you can expand the build if ever needed. I have purchased 15 of these for my business and they work fantastic!

I was surprised when my older HP computer's mother board died suddenly (after a major upgrade) that there were very few computers available for sale currently during this Covid crisis. I wanted one with more memory to handle our existing photo (not video) files, plus some music files, as well as modest word processing use. Other than a very high end computer, suitable for gaming use, this and one other similar model (differing in that it had an AMD processor) were all that Best Buy had available. When we had our existing data transferred over, it used nearly all the memory up. The 6 year old computer had more memory than this one does! Because we had very recently replaced the hard drive in our old computer with a new solid state one (and upgraded with Windows 10), the shop was able to use that hard drive to increase our storage in this computer. Also surprising was the need to purchase a new Microsoft word program so we could write letters. For the total purchase price, we wish we could have purchased one with more resources installed. It is very quiet and speedy, but just adequate in resources. A bit of a disappointment.
