I bought this headset after my Steelseries Arctis 1 headset broke. The range, mic, comfort, and battery life were great and a much needed improvement from the Arctis 1. However, the sound quality was nowhere near as good and the volume itself was only a fraction of the Arctis headset. I would play with the volume maxed out and still struggled to hear footsteps while playing FPS games. For watching videos the volume was adequate but I need something louder for games so I ended up gifting my headset to my younger brother.

Background: Did some online research to narrow down which wireless gaming headset would be the best for no more than $150 to use with our PS4 so my husband and I could play some online coop Sniper Elite 4 missions that required PS Plus. One of us upstairs and one of us downstairs. Needed to be able to talk to each other in the coop missions. Assorted online reviews gave a short list of the best wireless headsets, and these HyperX Cloud II Wireless 7.1 Surround Sound headsets were on it. The list also included the white Logitech G733s and some of the Corsair brands. So, we did what we usually do. Went to Best Buy to see what they had out, to decide which headphones to buy. That is why we still shop at Best Buy. Because they still have brick and mortar stores and we get to check out a lot of the products. My biggest want was for comfort. I get headaches easy from headphones if they are tight. Then sound and latency were next most important. What good are either of those if you cannot wear the headset for long enough to play a few missions? Some of the headsets on the list were not out. These HyperX - Cloud II headsets were out, as were the Logitech. Both sounded equally fantastic with their 7.1 Surround Sound. I mean surprisingly good. Glad they had audio fed to them. Both were pretty comfortable. However the HyperX were more comfortable than the Logitech. So, that was what I chose. They are the most comfortable headphones I have, besides my non-gaming Bose noise canceling 35s. These are a total no-brainer for the PS4. I cannot speak to latency on Steam for PC systems. For those who are hard core gamers, you will need to seek others for giving you that information. My husband was also getting a headset. He was worried about these because they do not have a way to twist the earphones fit his fat head. However, they did feel fine at the store. They are flexible because of the way they are designed, so it wouldn't have been a problem. He has now admitted he should have bought these instead of the pair he bought. Have never run out of battery and they charge quick with USB C. Color changing LED tells you when they are done. They hold a charge well too. They sound as good in the game as they did in the store. I would totally have no hesitation recommending the Cloud II Wireless HyperX headsets.

Great headset. I have had this headset for many years now from an Xbox to a pc and the quality has always been great. The headset is very comfortable and all in all very affordable. I don't use the microphone so I can't really give you a review on it. The battery life of it is great too, lasts a while and will be good for a day or two after charging overnight. But overall, the quality is great and the headset will last you a lifetime.

I'm giving this headset a 4/5 stars because I have had to exchange it twice because it made a static noise in my ears every so often, but this most recent time I exchanged it the problem stopped. I will say I also got a new pc in that time so it could've been something to do with the bluetooth card on my old pc but I'm not sure. Overall tho I love this headset and would definitely recommend it to everyone in need of an amazing affordable wireless headset.

This is a really good headset. I also own the wired version, but wanted to make the move to wireless, and I'm really enjoying it. Same sound, same mic, same comfort, but without the hassle of the wire getting twisted and tangled on my chair as I move around. Charges quickly enough, and lasts plenty long. Also good range.

So far so good, good battery life, sound quality seems pretty good, but I'm not an audiophile, so take that with a grain of salt. I do wish there was a way to see how much expected battery life there was other than the light showing "mostly full" and "almost dead" as the only indicators it gives you but the battery life lasts so long it's somewhat a non-issue.

I bought this headset after a failed Steelseries 9 purchase, and I don't regret it. Pros: - Works great and sounds great. - Doesn't need setup out of the box. - The surround feature is noticeable. - The battery life is great. - Feels sturdy and high quality. - Comfortable to wear for long periods of time. Cons: - Mic must be removed from the headset to get it out of the way. I can see this being a problem in the future if it is removed and re-inserted constantly. - No Bluetooth for extra connections to other devices. - Can't configure time length of auto turn of feature. The things I have against this headset are basically extra features I would have liked, but the simplicity of this device speaks for itself. I would recommend it.

If you ever wanted a hwadset that has insane range this is the bad boy for you. Tired of getting wrapped up in cords while gaming? Look no further. The life on the change is ok but you can still use them plugged in, which defeats the wireless part of it all but still great. Comfortable as can be as well. Overall well worth upgrading to wireless.

Everything about this headset is great, from thw way that it feels in your hand to the way that it sounds id highly recommend this pair if you want something comfortable with great audio. My only problem is that my friends always say I cut out if I don't speak loud enough even though I have the mic right next to my mouth.

If you are looking to upgrade your mid grade headset (30-60$) this is the best choice in my opinion. Absolutely love it. Comfortable for long gaming sessions with the boys, great fps audio (footsteps), amazing with music TV or movies. I just highly recommend it if you're trying to stay under 150.
