We plugged it into two different types of computers, and a direct outlet, but it had not reached a full charge after several days. I finally called the product's customer service, and they said this was rare - I had gotten a defective product. Since it was within 30 days of purchase, I took it back to Best Buy and was able to get a replacement. The replacement unit works great - I even had a friend ask where I'd gotten it. I'd recommend it - but if your unit hasn't charged within a day, call customer service.
