These are nice good quality LED strips, they come in 3 different lengths I have all 3 lengths. They are super bright and the colors look great! Our 16ft have the remote and require its own plug in! These 4 foot and 8 foot versions run off usb power so you can plug them right into an old phone charger, or any usb port you have on your computer, back of tv etc... but they only have a little in line controller built right into the plug where you can change between 7 brightness's and maybe 10 different colors at most! I do like these lights and they are good quality, I have MANY different cheap brands off amazon to compare these too, and these Insignia are always the ones i use to compare brightness etc... but they are extremely over priced for what they are tbh! Thats why i am leaving 3 stars instead of 5. There are many cheaper versions on amazon that are not only just as bright, but longer, and also can be controlled over wifi with alexa, google assistant etc... So these are good lights if you just want something to stick behind your monitor, desk, small tv, tv stand, under cupboards in your kitchen etc.. but just know you wont be controlling them with any smart home devices! I feel like your better off looking on amazon for a much cheaper set that have alot more features! There are great alternatives if you take the time to look and read reviews on there instead of over spending on these lights! Also these lights go on sale ALL the time on Best Buys website so dont ever pay full price! The 16 foot and 4 foot versions go on sale every couple weeks....the 8 foot versions dont seem to go on sale as much but i have been watching these lights for over a year on here and they are ALWAYS on sale ...sometimes the deal of the day as well! In the picture you will see a GREAT cheaper alternative to these that are just as bright but run off smart devices! They literally look identical to these insignia lights when lit up same color same brightness, only they are over 9 ft long compared to the 4 ft. and they cost like 15 bucks! Good luck!

Fantastic bargain for the price. The 16-foot kit almost went completely around the edges of my 85 inch TV. The back-lighting makes it much easier on the eyes for night viewing. The remote makes it super easy to change colors, patterns, and turn it on and off. Super-sticky tape and nothing appears to be coming loose anytime soon. It was a little difficult making 90° turns but it all worked out.

This tape wasn’t the best in terms of adhesion, but I was able to use thumb tacks and a different tape to keep it in place. Once set up, this is super easy to use and looks amazing lining behind my tv, and my dresser. The lights never get hot and the dimmer function is super convenient. I love the many options for colors, and the fading color option makes me want to buy more of these for my living room!

Exactly what I was looking for, but at a fraction of the cost. I was looking for a colored LED strip to complete my dream desk set up. I almost bought a more expensive Wi-Fi LED automation option, but felt that may have been more than what I wanted to pay for mere aesthetics. As I was leaving Best Buy, I found this via their mobile app. It was like 20 bucks vs 80 or so for the other option. Couldn’t pass it up. The length was perfect and the color options are great. I couldn’t be more pleased.

It's a light strip which has an adhesive backing, and gets its power through USB. You can use three buttons which turn it on/off, change color, and change brightness. A remote would be nice, or if the power cable were longer and could be put in a more convenient location, as right now I bend all the way down to turn it on (it is the underglow for my TV stand). The adhesive could have also been better, but I understand why it's weak so that it doesn't damage equipment. On wood, it cannot support its own weight when stuck to the bottom. My solution is packing tape along the entire run. I think it should be $5 - $10 cheaper. Otherwise, I got pretty colorful ambient lighting!

Purchased these while they were on sale ($39.99) and was also able to get them delivered same day and they are wonderful…Brighter than I anticipated and the length is just right fits perfectly behind my 77inch CX.

Although this is what I was hoping for, there are a couple of things that take away the 5th star. First is the MSRP, don't pay it, wait for it to go on sale. If you want to use it for ambient accent lighting, you'll need to have a USB plug in adapter. The lighting control box would be more useful near the USB side of the cord. Wound up using a "smart" plug to turn it on and off. Other than that, I installed into a wall alcove for accent lighting and it works great.

These are priced nicely as a budget option to apply bias lighting on a TV. Get rid of glare and bring out the contrast on your set while easing eyestrain. Comes with several different colors and seven levels of brightness.

I tried app control lighting and it was a very tedious experience, it cut off once in a while and lose control over it. so I decided to try these because they come with their own remote control, no apps to use, no need for the phone, it is quick and easy, just pick up the remote and it work in an instant. Very, satisfied and certainly a lot cheaper than the Philips and some other brands that use the network and mobile apps. Highly recommended. I enclosed a couple of color sample

Very good light strip. I installed this under my desk and plugged it into my laptops USB port. When my laptop is turned on, the under desk light turns on. When I turn my laptop, it turns off. I dont have to turn it on manually each time so that is very nice. To ensure I like the location and wiring etc, I used scotch tape to mount this temporarily. After a few days, I cleaned my underdesk with rubbing alcohol and then applied the double sided strip onto the desk. I got this on sale and I am VERY impressed by this light strip. Exactly what I wanted.

Easy install. I like how the controls are on the wire. It works for what im using it for and I don't have a remote to lose. Overall good product.

These light Definitely amped up my gaming desk quite a bit . Although leaving them on for awhile the switch where you change the colors and brightness of the lights gets hot after awhile . Not sure if that is beacause i have them on the brightest setting all the time or what . I wish these lights had a setting similar to the other led light strips , where you can have them flashing or fading from color to color . With these light especially with the price you have to pay from them , all you are able to do is pick one color . Would have been great if these had a music sync setting as well , to where it follows the tune of my music .

Was looking around for something to help bring a little more light to my Gaming PC setup. Saw these go for the Deal of the Day ($14.99) and picked 2 of them up. Glad I did because I've been getting nothing but compliments ever since I put these babies up. There's 20 different colors so you'll definitely be able to find the one you want.

I love the LED’s on my tv, the colors are super cool & you get to choose how bright you want them. Only bad thing no remote

I had no idea a simple upgrade could make watching TV so much more enjoyable. Installed to the back of a 2021 Vizio M-series 65", the white is perfect for making all colors pop in low or no light settings. I especially like it at night when all other lights are off. I leave the colors fading during the day and my wife and son love it. It livens up the room during play time, and frankly it just looks cool. You can read the science about white color temperature and contrast and eye strain. I did, and this LED strip proved the concept with flair. There are more expensive strips, but this one worked just fine. I did have excess, but I ran it back behind the tv in a ^ shape. Adhesion has been fine. As you can see from the photo, the power cord is easily hidden behind the leg of the tv. Two inches of electrical tape solved that issue quickly. Pictured is blue light.

This fit perfect around my 49” tv! Easy application and very bright with many colors. You can also change the brightness of the lights which is another great feature. The only thing I would wish it had was a wireless remote to change the colors but it will do.
