Love it !! Looks great !!!! I was looking for something inexpensive for a rental unit but still looked great and had plenty of room. This refrigerator was perfect. I would definitely recommend this refrigerator to anyone because of its appearance and size I think it fits into a lower budget but the quality is still there.

It fits perfectly, I measured 10 times to be sure. Originally had a 19 but the 21 is perfect for everything I need. I was actually able to schedule it to be delivered soon than I expected as well which was a plus. Comes with an ice tray and all shelves are adjustable. Easy to clean, cools perfectly. No issues so far.

Size is good. The design however is badly thought out. The shelves are adjustable and there isn’t a deli drawer, my bad for not noticing. But the worst is the white stripes you see. It’s a stainless with black but the frame is white and it shows all around the doors looking out of place. I’ve had black refrigerator before and the frame was black.

I bought this fridge late in jan 2022 and so far so good. The only problem I had is that fridge door had a lil dent. But Best Buy replaced it expeditiously. Otherwise than that everything is hunky dory

I’ve had this fridge for a little over 2 years now and the plastic on the inside is falling apart. A shelf on the door just fell off completely and one of the drawers has been broken for about a year now. The shelves aren’t very customizable and I really don’t like the layout of it, but that’s just a personal preference problem. It still keeps things cold, so there’s that.

Though the product was delivered, it seems that this was an appliance that was damaged snd returned and was delivered to me. I waited about 2 months to get this delivered and it was damaged and it seems like the only thing available at the warehouse. I did call to get it replaced and the customer service person was accommodating. Though I need to wait over a month in order to get the refrigerator delivered.

First Refrigerator arrived with a large dent on side next to the compressor, sent it back, had to purchase a smaller temporary refrigerator from Lowes while we waited. second refrigerator arrive and installed only to find after installation there was a flaw from the factory on the front door (white stuff squished out from seam) and the installers call it in and said I would receive a new refrigerator door, still waiting.........no door???? Oh I did get a new seal for the freezer door which I don't need? Had a Kenmore 5yrs old spent over 2K, don't buy that brand or LG, all have the same faulty compressors. Had to settle with Insignia because the one we wanted was back ordered over 3 months and wasn't going to wait that long.

I've had my fridge a week or two now. I like the size of it- full sized without monster dimensions. I Would have preferred 4 inches taller, an inch or two wider and a little less deep, but this seems too much to ask of any manufacturer. This one has good reviews for it's size and price, and that it's stainless steel, even if just the front, looks nice. I was able to schedule delivery less than a week out. But there was a false start; delivery guys noticed damage when unpacking, causing a few more (long) days in delay. Found Best Buy's customer service to be courteous and willing to look into scheduling concerns, but their hands were tied with the system delays. I bought the ice maker, but I hadn't replaced my existing line with the new line. Delivery guys said they wouldn't hook it up to a plastic line in any case because they tend to spring leaks and do damage. I suppose the $30 kit you can buy with the fridge would have been easier. I bought my own $10 stainless steal enforced hose, the only part of the kit needed. But HD only sells up to 10 ft length and I should have bought it a little longer, which the delivery guy told me could be found at Lowe's. I like the lighting, and the wide door pockets to store tons of condiments well. Wish there was more flexibility in shelf arrangement. I took out the middle shelf to have a lower shelf tall enough for milk and taller items, and now only have a rather small upper shelf also. Would have liked to have fit a 3rd shelf somehow or at least been able to split the height better. Here's my noise experience... I soon noticed a lot of its strange noises when in my small kitchen, mostly an annoying sound as if an automatic ice maker were constantly straining to make a dump (even though it was in the off position). As well as various clickity clacks and hamster wheel sounding spinning. Not to the extent I ever was concerned about whether it was working right or wondering if I regretted my purchase. Glad to report that the noise leveled off considerably. We've had a heat spell, so I've stuffed the fridge with wine & dry goods etc. that I normally wouldn't. Seems to have no trouble keeping up. There are 5 cooling levels that control both the fridge and freezer, and I find the middle one to be sufficiently cool without freezing fridge contents and the freezer seems cold enough at this level as well. I didn't want to pull this rating down with four stars- I think this fridge deserves a shout out!

I have to say, I'm quite impressed with this refrigerator. It's a good size, does a great job of keeping things cold and doesn't run very often, so it seems to be very well insulated. When it is running, it is very quiet. My only complaint if I had to name one is the freezer door has a detent to it, so you have to push it all the way closed, vs just letting it swing shut, but that's a very minor thing. The value on this product is great compared to more common brand names and as long as it continues to work properly, I'm very happy with my purchase and even happier with the savings!

freezer air temps fluctuate 30F degrees!

Website says "garage ready". Manual says: "this refrigerator is not designed for use in a garage or any other outside installation" (page 7). Website says "1.2 amps" (Sept 2017); manual says "1.8 A without icemaker; "3.3 A with icemaker" (page 20) . I called BestBuy support and they could not tell me whether the website or the manual were correct. They said it would take weeks to get an answer from the manufacturer! ....But in general it has good low amp draw and power consumption. But freezer does not have separate temperature regulation and the air temperature fluctuates 26F (!) at the setting #4 betw -10F and +16F . There is only one combined control which is in the fridge. The fridge temp is fluctuating just from 32 to 39 at the #4 setting which is ok. Factory recommended setting is #3. But my understanding is that the freezer should stay 0F or lower. On #5 setting the temp in fridge became too cold: 27F to 35F max and freezer was from -20F to +18F (38F fluctuation!). I recorded 5-10 measurements per day for several days with 2 outdoor thermometers placed inside a large bin in the freezer and one on the top shelf in the fridge. My salad started suffering coz fridge was too cold and in some areas stuff froze. The temperature is not very even in the fridge compartment when I checked with my infrared temperature scanner. I checked the power draw with a P3 4460 Kill-a-watt meter. The compressor draws under 1 amp which is very nice The defroster 1.6 amps which I was also happy with. No icemaker installed which would consume more power. The noise can be annoying. It's possibly the fan vibrating or hitting something but it could also be the cooling gas in the pipes growling. The shelf system is non-adjustable and not very well designed because a half gallon milk carton has to be bent at the top flap to fit on the bottom shelf. The door shelves have a guard that's too high so the gap between it and the shelf above is so narrow that it is difficult to get things like a 32 oz yogurt tub in and out. Have to angle it almost horizontal to move it in or out below the egg compartment. Even my 18 y.o. Amana fridge that died had guards that were much lower. If you fill up the door shelves the door starts squeaking so loud that you can hear it in the whole house. On the plus side, it looks good (mine is SS doors and black side; i wish it was all SS), low amp draw if you have a generator; and it was fairly cheap. Because the freezer temps fluctuate so much I would not recommend it. But i have to say I don't know how much the temperature inside the frozen food itself would fluctuate while teh freezer air temperature fluctuates so wildly. I could not find anybody to tell me if this is a problem so I decided I rather get a fridge with a separate temp control for the freezer so the freezer temp stays more steady and less risk of food thawing and freezing all the time. I think icecream needs at least 15F or colder to properly freeze. Gave it 3 stars for price and low power consumption and because I don't know if the huge freezer temp fluctuation is ultimately a problem or not. Oh the delivery guys unpacked the fridge out in the street and when it was in the kitchen it had a scratch. Also one of the door shelves was falling down when they opened the fridge and they put it back in. I didn't think much of it but later had a surprise when it came crashing down on the hinge side. I discovered that a plastic part of the shelf holding it in place had broken off. I don't know if that happened during delivery or before. I had enough space for them to bring the fridge into the house with the packaging around it, so I think they might have scratched it and broken the shelf maybe because the door might have opened. But I don't know. The delivery guys tried to give me some education on how to start using the fridge but they were in error as I discovered when I read the manual. I bought the 5 year geek squad support. I spoke to one guy there and he was very knowledgeable re the fridge technology but not familiar with this particular fridge. I would recommend getting the 5 yr geek squad support. The fridge itself only has a 1 year warranty on parts. Not sure on labor.

It offers more room than expected and I'm satisfied with it. We are very limited on the size and this one literally just so fits in the opening, but still has enough gap at the top for ventilation. On the sides, like 1/16" on each side so it is tight. It isn't loud or anything either which is nice. I like that there are no door handles and it is a clean look. No problems with finger prints neither with the toddler, unless of course they are running around with messy hands. So over all it's a great fridge for the price and I would recommend it. It's kind of odd though with having to wait 24 hours after making a temperature adjustment before making another adjustment or else the refrigerator and freezer flip themselves! The installers had us so freaked out about that so we just let it where he had it!

For the price, it's a great value. I added this to my rental property and had several comments from prospective renters on how sleek and stylish it is. I ended up renting the unit quickly after installing this - coincidence? Probably. But if you're looking for a modern looking refrigerator that has plenty of space and is very functional but without all the frills - this is it. I would have given it 5 stars, but the noise level is noticeably higher than the Frigidaire it replace. But again, for the price - you really can't go wrong.

decent average performance, potential noise issue

Been looking to replace faulty 7 y/o, side by side fridge made by S**S**G brand. researched many reviews before purchasing this Insignia fridge. very similar to LG of similar specs (wouldn't be surprised if made by them for best buy). did not want to spend that much for something that will probably need replacement in less than 10 yrs. PROS: high quality stainless steel finish is not as "dirty", high maintenance as other brands (finger , smudge prints not as visible on this insignia), decent useable space for exterior size, interior LED lighting is upscale feature, plastic shelves are not as flimsy as other fridges in this price range, no exterior handle makes it sleek and easier to wipe clean, good value during black Friday sale (saved "too hundred"). CONS: only fridge is LED light, which front position reduces lighting to back items, freezer wire shelf is not as convenient to have as glass. biggest potential flaw: NOISER than expected, the so called "high efficiency" compressor runs a lot noisier than I thought. Not obtrusive but if you expect library quiet silence in your kitchen you will be disappointed. Bottom Line: For the price point and the high quality stainless steel look this insignia fridge is tough value to beat. Recommended as a value choice.
