Bottom Line: the Insignia 4' 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable supports the latest 4K HDR standard, so you can buy confidently knowing it'll be compatible with your new devices. Review: Don't be fooled by the marketing hype! HDMI delivers a digital signal, so there's no difference in signal quality between this or a more expensive cable. This cable is compatible with all the latest standards (4K HDR, 18 Gbps bandwidth, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Audio, HDMI ARC, etc.), so you shouldn't have any issues using it with your devices. There are, though, two considerations one should make before picking up this cable. First, many people (myself included) underestimate how much cable they need. This particular cable is only 4', so be sure that it's going to be long enough for your install. I often forget how much cable length you end up losing by the twists and turns the cable needs to make once it's connected to the devices. Second, this cable has standard sized connectors and a fairly thick/rigid cable. This means that it'll probably extend 2 or so inches past the HDMI input before you can bend the cable to where it needs to go. This might be a concern if you're connecting to the back of a TV with a fairly tight wall mount.

Cable Does not work with Xbox One X

Hi, I recently purchased a top of the line OLED 4K TV from best buy and have been excited to use it with some new 4K electronics, notably Xbox One X, Apple TV 4K, PS4 Pro. However, I've found it difficult to get a cable that works if you also need length (I need 40+ feet). This cable, does not work with Xbox One X, unfortunately. I never realized how finicky HDMI cables are with High Def content. The included cable for Xbox One X works beautifully, but on the same settings with this cable, the screen is just blank, even when the cable is plugged in the direction indicated. I am disappointed b/c I checked with someone at best buy, but I also checked about the return policy, knowing that most people haven't tested their cords with the new HD 4K 60fps outputting hardware. Do not buy this if you're looking to use it on next gen outputting hardware. Finding a cable has been incredibly frustrating, so I'm making sure people learn from my investigations.

I bought this for my Xbox 360. I didn't really care about playing games in HD, I just got it because for the standard definition cables I could only have one device hooked up at a time (besides my Blu-ray player that was plugged into one of the the HDMI ports) so I really only got this to save me the trouble of constantly having to unplug one system to hook up another. Occasionally I still have to because I have too many systems but at least I can have two hooked up at once. But after using my 360 with HDMI cable I noticed a big difference in quality. Now I'm not saying it looked terrible before or anything like that. I always thought the games looked great. But now I really see a clearer and brighter picture when I'm playing. I was impressed. I really didn't think that it would make much of a difference on a game system like that but it did and it's made playing games a little more enjoyable. I highly recommend using this. It made movies look better when I switched to HD. I used to have a Blu-ray player that didn't come with an HDMI cable but it came with the 3 colored standard def cords which is what I used for a long time but when that player crapped out I bought a new one that didn't come with any cords and was only HD compatible so I bought one of these cords for that back then and was very impressed with the change of picture quality then. Again when I bought another one for my Xbox 360 I didn't think it would make the same difference that it did for my Blu-rays but it really does. If you have an HD tv you should use the cords for as many possible devices as you can. It really does make that much of a difference.

Great cable for 4k/60 HDR and 4k/60 SDR

I bought 4 of these as a "Deal of the Day", so I got a better price on them than you'd get from a certain internet retailer known for their inexpensive cables. At the regular price, I'd give them 4 stars because of markup. Anyway, these perform well with my Apple TV 4K (HDR), my LG UP875 4K Blu-Ray player (HDR), my living room PC (HDR from a Radeon RX580), and my AirTV Player (SDR). Zero glitches with 4K/60 HDR, 4K/24 HDR, 4K/60 SDR, with every color mode I could throw at my TV. Catch them on sale is my biggest recommendation; the regular price is a little high, even at 12 foot. Also, keep in mind these are thick cables that aren't as flexible as what you're probably used to; high-speed cables are either thicker or have specialized chips in them - sometimes both - to help with higher bandwidth signals, especially outside of the 6 foot range.

For my birthday my wife and daughter gave me a 40" LCD 1080 HD TV, sound bar and wireless headphones, to replace the 20" picture tube TV I have watched for decades (all purchased at Best Buy of course). Needless to say I did not have HD cable service with that old TV , but could now receive it. My daughter has had HD service for her bedroom TV for some time so she checked and the cable company would upgrade my box to HD at no additional cost. I just needed an HD cable to connect the TV and box. My daughter originally told me to get a different one but the fella at BestBuy said this one is the same price and has upgrade capabilities for the future. So now I have HD TV and I must admit it is a noticeably better picture (as good as the regular picture on that TV is). However, as my daughter remarked in jest, as seldom as I get myself a new TV I probably won't be around to use any upgrade features built into this connector. She is no doubt correct. Therefore it's the last one I will ever have to buy!

This cable provides the necessary HDMI connections on both ends. Its so versatile, you can insert either end of the cable into any, and I do mean any, standard HDI receptacle. I love the fact that it's made with a black coating which makes it so hard to see in a dark room. My TV loves it too. Absolutely no trouble to connect my TV to the onerous, always-in-the-way-and often-having-to-reboot TV set top receiver Charter/Spectrum requires me to have for each and every TV in my house (up to 4 TVs now). HDMI makes all those extra color-coded RCA type plugged wires obsolete. Get an HDMI cable, you won't regret it. If you really relish the thought of a black cord running across your floor, get the 50ft cable and expand your space.

Insignia 4K Ultra HD HDMI Cable-Review I’ve found wimpy cables unworthy of even casual usage. If you’re looking for a physically flexible cable maybe this is not for you. This cable seems to use heavier grade of materials as the cable is thick & even somewhat heavy, which I interpret to be sturdy and capable of long-term use as well as being a better preventative of external signal interferences. Clarity, color and contrast are of great importance and this cable provides it. I find no blur or distortion on high action scenes. Audio transfers well and allows my theater system to do its job well. I have no problem in recommending this cable for anyone who’s looking for a higher quality, more heavy duty HDMI cable even if more difficult to work with its stiffness.

I got a great dealer new on the tv for under 100 from BB picked up in the store of theirs, but was disappointed in first the set up, despite me being very tech-savvy the build quality was awful when I tried to put the hdmi in from rocketfish(bb's brand) it did not go in despite it being universal, second I had to return and get the insignia HDMI cord. the Tv which I measured is 29'.something it barely reaches 32' despite the box and everywhere materials saying it's 32' and the mfg claims its more like 31'.Size,build quality all make me very disappointed, yes it has a talk to remote finds you anything, everything, but My 15 year Old Sony Bravia which is exactly 32' does the same and still going.

I'm personally not the biggest fan of the Insignia brand overall but when I was buying my HDTV I was informed that the unit did not come with a HDMI cable. The set I bought was one off the sales floor but I had went in with the intention of buying a bigger unit. When I had decided on the smaller unit, the sales person had already wheeled the bigger set out from the back. When I was informed of needing a HDMI cable for the set I did end up buying, I was informed by the sales person about a combo deal for a Surge Protector and this HDMI cable. I felt bad for the guy since he had wheeled out a TV that I didn't end up buying and I went ahead and picked the combo from him more out of pity and less out of necessity. Long winded story aside, it does the job it's supposed to. The only real knock is the Insignia branding on the box but then I've never cared for the Insignia brand so that's a minor gripe. If you need a decent, reliable HDMI cable and are not picky about the brand name on the box then this one should do you just fine.

Works as advertised. I have an HDR UHDTV and was using an HDMI cable that was perhaps a decade old and for whatever reason my screen would sometimes light up with a warning stating that UHDTV Blue Rays were incompatible with my set. I got tired of this and went online to Best Buy, located this two-pack of HDMI cables rated for UHDTV and BAZINGA! No more problems. Perhaps in much the same way the old SVHS required a specific cable to get the most out of the video signal, so too does UHDTV and UHD Blue Ray discs. I do not think for one moment that paying more for the same results makes sense and these cables are as good as any out there. How do I know? Again, my problem went away. Yup. I highly recommend this two-pack for anyone interested in a better picture at a more than reasonable price.

We just purchased a new 4K Samsung TV and our old HDMI cables were version 1.3. This doesn't meat the 4K specifications so off to Best Buy to find some that will work well. This two pack is a great value, and even more so when they are on sale. I bought them and took them home. They worked without a hitch. Everything recognized, my TV is linked to a Yamaha Receiver. I have it configured to power on the TV when a specific input is used and all of this communication is done via HDMI. I have to say, for the price they can't be beat. Why not 5 stars? Well, I feel that if the cable end were struck that metal would pull right out of the plastic shielding. If this isn't in an area that may get bumped, like mine, then you'll be fine. Would I buy them again? I already have :-)

Used this cable to connect a 65 inch TV to a user's computer as a cloned screen to display scheduling information for the service department. We needed all 50 feet in order to make the connection and is the recommended limit for HDMI. Did not experience any video degradation and image quality was great. This is a directional cable and initially we ran it backwards which caused the TV to display there was no signal input. Once the source end of the cable was connected to the PC and the display end to the TV signal came right up and again was great. So make sure to look at the end of the cable which is marked to make your connections correctly on the first attempt.

i was curious if a 4k hdmi cable was better than a standard hdmi cable so i went online to checck out the reviews. i was blown away at the hugh difference. a standard hdmi cable transmitts an average of 12 mb/gb per second. the 4k hdmi cable transmitts 18mb/gb per second. a whopping 50% difference. so i purchased this cable. the bluray player produced an outstanding picture on my 4k tv. whats really surprising is i switched the 4k hdmi cable to my standard upconvert 1080p player. the result was shocking. the picture was more sharpness, more color, and more detail, also the sound was louder. so now i am using this 4khdmi cable on my standard dvd player. i am impressed

Over the years I can't believe the myth that is perpetuated by the High End audio industry that in order to "hear" or "see" an HD, Blu-Ray, and now 4k, you HAVE TO SPEND $50 or more to get the most from your system. I actually first posed that question to a sales associate at Frys. He said that it's just binary information. I now have a Samsung 4k 8000 series TV and this cable connects Direct TV to the Samsung. I can't hear (I have a Samsung sound bar) or see a picture degradation even when seeing 4k ultra from You Tube. If you have to have "the best," go ahead and spend your money. But for the rest of you, try this product. You can always return it and get something better. BUT you probably won't.

After connecting from my computer to my LG C8 television I received signal but it would go out and come back every several seconds. Poor build on the cable and clearly cheaply made and not worth it's asking price. Pay a few extra dollars for the Rocketfish one if you HAVE to have a cable from Best Buy (the thin one not the thick rocketfish ones because one of them gave out on me before, but the thin one has worked great so far). I would highly recommend the Audioquest Pearl HDMI cable, it's the same price as the Rocketfish one and it has worked very well for me.

Every so often we host our friends over to watch a sporting event and BBQ. We would always need to set up an antenna and hope we got a good signal. Well, we finally had it and decided to get an HDMI cable that could reach from our living room out to the back yard. The 50' cable was just enough to get our TV set up outside and get a perfect picture. It has to be the thickest HDMI cable I've ever owned, but that isn't a bad thing necessarily. For using outdoors its perfect. The cable is directional so you'll have to keep an eye on which end you connect to the TV and video output.

I purchased this item at the same time I bought the AppleTV because I was made aware that I would need an additional cord. Though I already had one available, I saw an open box clearance cable and gave this item a try. It works absolutely fine. I don't notice a quality difference between this and the "Monster" brand cable I have. I would imagine that somehow, someway, you'd find someone that could tell you the product I'm using doesn't perform as well, but barring scientific equipment, I don't think it's noticeable. Whether this product is durable, I cannot yet say. The other cable I have is still useful, though it came at the advent of the HDMI technology, so I would say it's longevity is worth it so far, but this cable has given me no problems in the month I've owned it with no sign of performance or durability issues.

Mine did not work, and unfortunately that was after a long strenuous effort to run the cable up through the attic to my overhead projector. No., No sharp bends, no kinks or any damage - I was extremely careful as I have run a lot of cable before. But when it was all in place it did not work - no signal from Denon receiver to Sony 4k projector. I removed it and replaced this cable with a 30 metre HDMI powered cable which is designed to handle long runs. I gave it two stars because it looked thick and well made for the price. Maybe I got a dud?

This is a great way to hook your Note3 up to your TV to watch videos, photos etc. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is because when you plug in the charger, the connection on your TV and phone will keep breaking you will get an error saying "to charge faster use the charger that came with this device". I have two of these so it wasn't an defective item - it is just something that is an issue with the item itself. With a Note3, this is impossible as the original plug in is the big one, not the small one that needs to be used for this converter. I end up just not plugging it in to the power source when using it, as it just won't keep the connection. This is inconvenient, but as long as your phone is fully charged, you will have enough life to watch videos or pictures for a couple of hours.

There is a lot of rumors that say you don’t need a HDMI 4K cable. That any HDMI cord would work but I saw they’re wrong. I have a Sony 4K TV with HDR and my cable is the reason I get the best picture quality. Just feeling the cord you can tell its a quality product. It’s a thick cord so that your audio and video that are being pushed through have sufficient room. Think of it as a highway with back and fourth traffic. Would you rather be in a two or eight lane highway when traveling through traffic? The price was just as amazing as the cord. Photo below shows the size of a regular HDMI compared to the 4K. You can see the difference.
