The Insignia fixed soundbar mount is well made and adjustable to fit up to 6.3 inch deep and can handle weights of up to 22lb soundbars. Adjusting the depth was very easy through a screw bolt at the bottom but if you tighten it a lot the end of the bolt sticks up into the mount padding (refer to picture). The smallest depth is 4.13 inches. I wanted this so I can mount my soundbar and get a floating shelf. The mount is slim and thin so you can’t see it behind the soundbar if it’s a larger sized sound bar. My soundbar is on the smaller side so unfortunately it didn’t fit snug. But not a deal breaker because I have it pulled forward so you don’t see the gap in the front. I like that the mounts have thick padding so it doesn’t scratch the sound bar. Installing the mounts was very easy. The kit comes with different hardware to fit any wall type and comes with a wall anchor as well. It’s also easy to level and adjust even after mounting. Overall, if you are looking for an easy to install and inexpensive soundbar mount this is worth it. The reason for the 4 stars was because it doesn’t fit smaller soundbars.

Unboxing and First Impressions - This sound bar mount system includes the mounts, directions and assorted hardware for drywall, to stud or masonry mounting. The mounts are expandable to accomodate most soundbars, are made of steel, padded and include a front lip to retain the installed sound bar. Additional hardware is included to screw-lock the soundbar to the mount. Instruction Manual call out ! - The included instructions are EXCELLENT. They are written in clear readable english with numerous illustrations detailing howto:, various mounting scenarions, how to measure and details on what fasteners to use and in what situation. Not only is this perfect for DIY'ers - It is a level beyond what is typically included with other brands and types of similar hardware. Best Buy's insigia brand once again has exceeded what I expected. Installation - I installed on-stud for both brackets after measuring. I appreciate the open screwholes to allow for perfect and flush alighment and parallel once placing a soundbar. The screws included were of a high quality and showed no sign of being easily stripped or being bent during an installation. What I loved - Way better than expected instructions ! Quality, heavy metal brackets. Rubber padding to avoid any vibration.

We needed brackets or mount for our soundbar so the TV and Soundbar would be on the same wall and without using a table or entertainment center, and these brackets worked as we wanted, now the wall looks clean without cables all around and best of all, great sound for our TV since most TVs do not come with great sound because lack of space. The Insignia Fix Soundbar Mount brackets came in its box well packaged and ready to be installed. We have a TV that is installed on the wall and we wanted to mount the soundbar on the wall too so these brackets helped do that. First of all, these brackets are for soundbars that are under 22 lbs. and our soundbar weights less than that. The bars should be between 4.13 and 6.3 in depth. As for the installation, it is easy, the hardware needed for installation is included, it comes with hardware and instructions. The screws can be directly install into the studs but if there are no studs directly on where to install the brackets, the kit comes with anchors so it can hold onto the drywall, and since it is up to 22 lbs. the drywall installation for us was best, and they are still holding on the soundbar. The brackets have a cushion so they hold the soundbar softlyu and also quietly since it does not rattle or make any unwanted noise. I also like that the brackets are adjustable to accommodate different sizes of soundbars. The brackets do come with 1 year limited warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The mounts do work as intended, they look great, easy installation and we will get it again for our next soundbar.

This is a great product. It comes with two brackets that are lined with silicon which worked very well to avoid any noise vibrations. It also came with the hardware including screws and anchors to enable various installation options without going off to hunt for screws. The brackets are very solid steel that slide to allow them to be easily sized to the depth of your soundbar. An installation tip is to preset the depth of the brackets by sliding to fit your soundbar and then tighten the screw on the bottom of the brackets before you install the brackets on the wall. My soundbar depth is 4.5 inches which fit fine since these brackets will accommodate a depth of 4.13 to 6.3 inches. My soundbar is 36 inches wide and my studs were 24 inches on center. I chose to just attach the brackets to the wall studs using the center hole on each bracket. The brackets come well packaged and were in tip top condition. The brackets arrive with a very complete manual to show all types of installations. This is a well-done product, a tip of the cap to the folks who designed these little brackets. They look great and my audio is far better from my soundbar than before when it sat on my TV stand. Also the stand looks cleaner. Just took 10 minutes to install the brackets to the wall (see photos). I would highly recommend these brackets for the improved spatial sound, smoother appearance and ease of installation.

This Insignia universal soundbar mount does exactly what it says. It can hang most any soundbar that’s 22 pounds and under to the wall. The mounts themselves are relatively small and all but disappear from view after installed. Some manufacturers might have better means of attaching specific soundbars to the wall to minimize all hardware from view, but for its general purpose, this is a well priced option that gets the job done. My only minor gripe is that it doesn’t include all the mounting hardware you might need, and there’s no template to help you get them perfectly aligned (i.e. level). So long as you have some basic DIY knowledge of wall anchors and have a few in your house (better yet, find a wood stud) it’s dead simple to install. Just be mindful of placement of the mounts for balance and ensuring they’re not off center. In the box you get the mounts, a small instructional pamphlet, and a clear plastic sleeve of hardware. There were a few washers, some anchors for masonry, and a few bolts (the bolts were for thread mounting your soundbar to the bottom of the brackets - my soundbar didn’t have any threadmounts in the bottom of it). I was putting my mount in drywall, so I needed to use some drywall anchors. Luckily I had a few sitting around the house and luckily soundbars aren’t so heavy as to need heavy duty anchors. Obviously, if you have a stud finder, screwing them into wood studs is the better bet. And if you can find a stud, you only need one screw per bracket, versus using 2 drywall anchors per bracket. I hung the soundbar and brackets on the wall and kind of eyeballed the height. I then held a finger where that was and mounted the first bracket using drywall anchors. I then placed the soundbar on the affixed bracket, and then eyeballed where to put the second. I used a level to get it straight. I then made holes for the second bracket and then voila, I was done. There is a Phillips screw in the bottom of the bracket that allows you to adjust the width of the bracket to match your specific soundbar. I fixed the width and tightened that screw before even beginning to install my brackets on the wall. The biggest concern (I think) you’ll have is spacing out the brackets between themselves. I simply used the rubber feet on the bottom of my soundbar as reference points. I placed the brackets to the inside of those rubber feet and slid the bracket up to the rubber feet on both ends of the soundbar. This ensured that they were equi-distant between them. Was my installation absolutely perfect? Probably not, I mostly did it by eyeball and I can’t tell the difference when I look at it from afar - it looks straight and even. Best of all, it took all of 5 minutes. I really like the look of the soundbar under my projector screen versus being on the floor (I have a projector screen in a relatively small room in my basement, too small for a full on surround system). It does look more professional. The only thing to consider is hiding the cables. If you mount the soundbar directly under the TV, you might not even notice, but if you leave a little gap, you’ll see the wires unless you take extra steps to hide them. I’d consider just mounting your soundbar as close to the bottom of the TV as possible to minimize your efforts. All in all, I’m pleased with the product. It’s simple, not particularly sexy, but it fixes a problem and does it well.

I picked up the Insignia Fixed Soundbar Mount (rated for soundbars up to 22 lbs) so I could add the soundbar after making the decision to wall mount my tv. Overall the mounting system is easy to use, but you'll need to ensure the setup works for your soundbar and cable management system. In the box are the brackets, installation hardware (M4, M5, M6 screws, M5 lag bolts, washers and wall anchors for concrete) and instructions. Note that the brackets are rated for soundbars up to 22 lbs and a max of 6.3" deep via sliding adjustment of the bracket arm length. If your soundbar has the option of threaded inserts on the bottom, the brackets will work for this by using a screw to secure the soundbar to the channel in the horizontal arms of the bracket. Mine did not, and my soundbar has removable rear speakers which magnetically connect to the primary sound bar, so I needed to space the brackets so that the connection between the primary bar and the removable rear speakers were supported by the bracket arm. For this reason, and to center under the TV, I had to install the brackets in the drywall versus on the studs. While there are drywall anchors included, it doesn't state the load rating, and due to having a 15 lb cat who will likely parkour off of the soundbar at 3 am, I went ahead and used my own drywall anchors rated to 60 lbs. Once the bracket distance is calculated, mount the brackets to the wall via drywall, studs, or concrete hardware, there are a total of 3 holes in the upright part of the bracket, so you do have options for how you want to mount and level pending skillset and tools. Since I have a long level, and had already measured the distance between the tv and floor as well as distance to center, I was able to mount one bracket, then use the level to ensure the second bracket was seated at the correct spacing while being level. Once the brackets are securely mounted to the wall, I then placed the soundbar on the brackets and adjusted the bottom screw to lock the bracket arm length in place. This is where things became slightly disappointing. The soundbar has rear ports, which does not allow me to mount the soundbar flush against the bracket. I had to find a 90 degree elbow for the HDMI cable as well as add in a 1/4" to allow for the power cord to bend enough to fit into my cable management run. For this reason, the sound bar isn't securely seated in the brackets, and while I don't expect it to move, there is a possibility of the soundbar falling out if someone were to bump it from underneath. I think the mounting brackets would be perfect for a soundbar with side or bottom ports, which would allow the soundbar to sit flush against the brackets and would lock into the arms securely, or if the soundbar had the bottom threaded inserts to mount to. Since this setup wasn't optimized for my setup, I took off a star, and caution others to check their mounting options prior to purchasing. Otherwise I have no concerns with the sturdiness or mounting options offered by these brackets. While not recommended, the brackets have securely withstood the 20 lb soundbar, plus the 15 lb cat for brief periods of time with no issues and the soundbar has remained securely positioned in the arms.
