I have been using this PETG for three weeks, stick too much to the print plate, impossible to remove the material, but it prints really good!!!

I am almost finishing my first roll, all prints are really good, I loved working with this PETG provided vy BestBuy, but today my print got tangled, and created a mark on the part.

Insignia is BestBuy's house brand and they've jumped on the 3D Printing train with their own white label filament that you can get delivered or even pick up in-store at your nearest BestBuy. I received 5 spools in white/black PLA, PLA+ and PETG and they arrived in excellent condition, vacuum-sealed individually, super high-quality re-usable box and dry ready to print. I popped two spools into my BambuLabs P2S and they were ready to print. The only major negatives compared to Bambu filament is that these Insignia spools are made of cardboard instead of plastic and they do not include the RFID tag which allows the AMS2 Pro to autodetect your filament type and color. I'll likely use my Bambu RFIDs and transfer them over, or move the Insignia filament to an empty Bambu spool to get this functionality but they work fine otherwise, you can just label and set them in Bambu Studio and everything works fine. In terms of print quality, the prints came out great and had no issues with adhesion or bleeding or stacking with other Bambu lab filament. And at nearly half the price at full price and even a few bucks cheaper on sale than Bambu filament, these are a great alternative especially if you need to pick some filament up locally to finish a print and can't wait. I did a little research and a lot of people seem to think this is OEM/white lable Polymaker filament but no matter what, it works great!

Printing with PETG is a little trickier than regular PLA filament. PETG prints at a higher temperature and absorbs moisture much more readily. As a rule, I try to use up a roll of PETG within 3 days after opening it. Any longer than that and it starts to go "off." This particular PETG filament worked well for my needs. I'm currently printing a set of wall shelves, and I wanted to use PETG as they're going to have to support some weight. PETG generally holds up better than PLA for these types of uses. After properly configuring my printer, my print turned out fine. The overhangs all look nice, I didn't have any issues with bed adhesion, and there were no issues with layer separation. Unfortunately, I did leave this filament out a little too long. I couldn't use it up within my usual 3 day period, and by day 4 I started to experience issues with jams, layer separation, and just generally bad surfaces. These were the result of the filament absorbing too much moisture. Drying it in a filament dryer would probably restore the filament to some degree. I think this filament is a great option for PETG, and I appreciate that I can pick it up locally.

So if you do any amount of 3D printing, you know there are tons of options for filament these days, but also not all are equal. Some are better than others, some are amazing, and some are outright horrible. So far, my experience with the Insignia PETG filament has been somewhere above mid-average but below high end top tier. But I think the price is a HUGE factor in filament and the fact that this Insignia filament is so much cheaper and I can grab it in stores (assuming your local best buy has it in stock), is a huge bump in the pro column. So price is great, availability is great, how about quality? Well as I said, I’ve tried a lot of filaments over the years and I’ve learned it is good to have a variety on hand. Even a bad filament is good for test printing things. It’s cheaper and doesn’t need to look great, as long as it flows. This filament from Insignia is way better than my “cheap testing filament.” I can actually use this PETG in my final print, and did! The quality is just as good as my favorite go to brand PETG that costs a lot more and I have to wait 3 days for it to arrive if I need more. I haven’t had enough time to test how long this will last but so far I have been really impressed with it. So right off the bat, the packaging is pretty standard to what you expect, although the vacuum sealed packaging actually appears to have a resealable ziplock top to help with storage. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this until I had already used scissors to cut right through it. It wasn’t a problem for me since I have storage containers with moisture control already, but it could be useful for someone looking for something to keep extra filament in. The filament is spooled on a cardboard reel, but before you get mad, I had ZERO errors on my AMS2. If you are familiar with that, you know it’s common to have issues with the motors not being able to spin the cardboard reels properly and having print stop errors. I have had so many issues with other cardboard reels doing this, but so far with hours of printing, I have not had any issues on multiple insignia reels. Once I got it opened, I decided I was going to see what happens if I just start printing with it straight out of the box. I wanted to know what would happen if you were in a bind, ran to best buy to get a roll, ran home and had to start printing. No drying. No calibration. Just raw printing. If you have used PETG before, you know this is a gamble. Boy was I surprised when it actually printed a somewhat complex print perfectly fine. I was printing fan enclosures for old gaming console fans and one edge (pictured) is a very thin wall and the print came out great. The layer lines are very noticeable, but that was the print file and settings, not the print itself. Later I tested a higher quality print and it worked great as well. I have since ran it through a dryer and calibrated a new filament profile for this filament because I am certain I will be buying more. I think this would actually work fine for a final product, but bare minimum, it’s a cheaper option for test prints that you can trust will actually turn out the best they can. You can afford to try some new things and if the print goes poorly, you’re not out so much money. But personally, I will still be using this for the final print as well. I think it has a nice color to it, a good sheen and seems strong. Is it as good as some of the top branded filaments? Well, no. Not really. But it’s not in that class, those filaments cost 4 to 5 times as much. Whereas I have spent more on other discount filaments and had worse results than the Insignia PETG filament. So in my book, before any other brand, this is the stuff I would use if I need to cut costs. Overall I have had 0 issues with the new insignia petg filament. It's affordable, available and I hope soon more colors added. Probably around 80% of my prints don't need to be exquisite. They're just for me or friends and family and I need something to function more than looking good. Especially with PETG. I plan on using this reel to make shelf brackets and have no doubt it will hold strong and look good. If you need a budget friendly PETG you can grab from your local Best Buy, this is the one. Snag one. Or two. I have already gone back and ordered more while it's on sale!

I chose this Insignia Black PLA expecting a decent budget filament, but it exceeded my expectations. Right out of the box, the spool was neatly wound and fed smoothly through my printer without any tangles or interruptions. The filament is advertised as tangle-free, low-odor, and easy to print, and that matched my experience perfectly. What really stood out was the finish. The black color is deep and uniform, giving printed parts a clean, professional appearance. Layer adhesion was excellent, details came out crisp, and I didn't have to spend time tweaking settings to get great results. The filament is designed for reliable, high-speed printing and produced smooth surfaces with consistent quality throughout my prints. I've used several PLA brands over the years, and this one holds its own against options that cost significantly more. Whether you're printing functional parts, prototypes, or display models, it delivers dependable results at a very reasonable price. Pros: - Rich, consistent black color - Smooth extrusion and strong layer adhesion - Clean surface finish with sharp details - Tangle-free spool winding - Great value for the money Cons: - Cardboard spool may not be everyone's preference - Would benefit from a resealable storage bag - Limited color selection compared to some specialty filament brands Overall, this is an excellent everyday PLA filament that offers reliability, quality, and affordability. I'll definitely be buying more.

Bottom Line: Insignia’s PETG 1.75mm Filament is reliable and easy to print for those who want results without the hassle. Pros: prints reliably out the of the box; box shows print parameters for different filaments Cons: beginners should familiarize themselves with the difference between PETG and PLA; print had some minor stringing that is common with PETG Review: For those who might be newer to 3D printing, PLA and PETG are different types of plastic. PETG is more durable and heat resistant than PLA, making it better suited for prints with movable parts or ones that may spend a lot of time in a hot car. However, PETG requires higher nozzle and bed temperatures and tends to be “gooier” than PLA, which makes PLA better for detailed prints. Conveniently, the back of the box shows the different parameters for different types of filament. Out of the box, Insignia’s PETG filament printed without hassle on my Elegoo Neptune 4 Max. My first print was a vortex fruit washing bowl, which took about 10 hours. I used the slicing software’s default PETG settings for nozzle and print bed temperatures with 0.2mm layer height. I only adjusted a couple of parameters (wall thickness, infill percentage) based on the model author’s recommendations. Overall, the print itself turned out perfectly. The only minor issue was a tiny bit of stringing, which is pretty common with PETG and shapes (such as bowls) that have large open spaces that the print head has to travel across.

This filament gave better results than I expected. I printed the same standard objects (a "benchy" and a calibration cube) without any adjustments or tweaks beforehand. The results were pretty good (see pictures) and I suspect they could get even better with some tweaking. The print settings were set to standard .20 mm layer height using a .4 mm nozzle. PETG has a tendency to produce more stringy results than normal, but I only got a few light whispery strands with this filament when printing the benchy. There were some noticeable zits - more than I'm used to seeing, but again: I made no modifications or new configurations on my printer before starting - including changing the default temperature for "generic PETG" filament. I'm sure some additional tweaking of the printer settings would mitigate most of those zits. The filament, itself came well-spun; and so far I haven't run into any spooling snags. The spool clearly notes the temperature range settings you should use. My only real complaint with the filament roll is that I wish it didn't come in a cardboard spool. The Automatic Material System (filament changer) for my 3D printer doesn't like cardboard spools. It would be a good idea to have this filament available as a refill.

I always wondered why more places did not previously get into 3D printing supplies. I am so excited that I can now purchase filament locally at Best Buy. We have two 3D printers. The one we use most often is a Bambu Labs A1 Combo. That is what I used to print the yard spinner in the pictures below. This filament came vaccume sealed with a desicant bag in the center. The filament seemed to be good and dry right out of the package. These are on cardboard spools. I felt the spool was nice and sturdy and loved that it had a window to see how much filament was left on the roll as well as multiple holes in order to tie off the end when not in use. The yard spinner I printed took the entire roll of PETG. I encountered a few small issues when printing with this PETG. The first round of spinner pieces I had a minor bridging issue and 2 of the air cups broke off near the end of printing. When I re-printed these peices, it printed ok however. Half way through printing, i started to experiance some stringing. I put the filiment in the dryer and it seemed to help reduce the stringing again. Some of these issues could have been attributed to the file I used or some of the settings however.

PETG is typically stronger while supporting stronger adhesion between layers during the print cycle. It is also less prone to warping and shrinkage during the print process. Printing with this was very successful via the settings used for regular/standard PETG by Bambu. PETG utilizes a combination of both PLA and ABS to be more heat resistant and stable in higher levels of heat while being mostly UV resistant. I did not see any noting of this being food safe and therefore would not recommend using this for foods. There are other filaments available if this is a desired need, but are harder to find. I personally do not look or have intent to use any PETG as there are still risk of the introduction of elements combined during the printing process. The filament size is the same as others sitting around 1.75mm. Initial setup is the same as your Bamboo setup for install, cleaning when changing colors, and coil bleed offs during use. Overall print quality is the same as others that I have tried and all prints have been successful with your standard shrinkage and slight changes that would normally need to be accounted for.

This filament is really easy to use. I like its strength and the pieces come out really smooth.

I didn't have much expectations when first buying Insignia branded filaments, but after printing with it, I have no complaints on quality whatsoever. Using with Bambu slicer and P2S as generic PETG, the default print settings worked good with no problem. Not a big fan of the spool being made of cardboard, would rather have these be refill spools and print my own, but for the price it's not a big deal.

I was worried about an off-brand, not being compatible with my Bambu P2S, but this worked beautifully. It does not register the color, so you have to do that manually but if you don’t mind doing that, it is a good filament. It is on a cardboard spool, so I wouldn’t recommend reusing as these can work over time.

I picked up a spool of the Insignia White PETG (1.75mm) recently, and it has completely exceeded my expectations—especially given the price point. At around $12, the cost is extremely reasonable for a daily-driver filament, making it an easy choice to keep stocked in the workshop. The biggest selling point for me is how well it plays with my Bambu Lab printers. I ran it using standard PETG settings, and it printed flawlessly right out of the gate. The extrusion is consistent, layer adhesion is fantastic, and I experienced no heat creep, clogging, or stringing issues. Even better, despite coming on an eco-friendly cardboard spool, it fed through the AMS without a single hiccup. If you need a reliable, strong, and budget-friendly PETG for functional parts, utility gear, or daily prototyping, this Insignia filament is a winner. Highly recommended.

Got these filament during their sale for good price, printed out perfect but they came in a paper spool so I hv to print out plastic adapter for AMS. Other than that everything is perfect
