This mouse is great if you need one that is light and you can fit in your backpack to use on the go. I do not recommend this mouse for long periods of time (or as an all-the-time mouse) since it is pretty small. it does work well though. Wish it was bluetooth but I guess for the price it's fine.

    Good standard wireless mouse

This mouse was effortless to set up for my non-techy wife. The design is intuitive and light weight. It requires one AA battery to power it and the USB nano receiver can be found and later stored right next to the battery compartment. I might prefer a standard profile to the slim profile for desktop use, but the slim design makes it easier for packing and transporting with your laptop. Remember, this is not a bluetooth mouse so you have to use the USB A receiver. I would prefer a bluetooth option as well as a 2.4GHz option like some of the other wireless mice, but 2.4GHz is a very solid connection and works right away, but you'll have to give up a USB A port or use a converter if all you have is USB C This mouse is straightforward and seems responsive. I’d be happy with it as my main laptop mouse and I think I’m going to use this one at the office. I wish the scrolling wheel was a little smoother but on the screen it’s responsive, no dragging or delays- I just prefer a little different feel under my hand. Overall, it’s a great little mouse and I would recommend to any regular user.

Quality travel mouse, but lacks Bluetooth

For the price, this is a great little mouse. It’s quite flat, similar to what you’d find alongside Macs, making it simultaneously very portable and potentially polarizing for those who are used to larger mice. Be aware that this is also a USB-A only mouse - no Bluetooth compatibility is included, which I see as it’s main limitation. I already use a mouse with a similar profile, so for me the positives are a no-brainer. Its flatness allows it to slide into the narrow pockets of a bag with ease. If you’re coming from a taller mouse, this difference will stand out in a possibly negative way, but give it a chance and you may find that holding at the sides is all you ever needed anyway. But now for its main negative - Many devices and laptops have moved away from USB-A ports (in favor of USB-C) so for travel, so it loses quite a bit of value as my intended use as a backup mouse. Bluetooth would have supported all of my devices. I’ll need to bring along an adapter to use it with those devices, as its dongle is required for use. That said, I can’t really ding it for lacking Bluetooth and requiring an outgoing USB form factor. Those who have a valid use should consider buying this model if it meets their needs - for example, if your device still has an extra ‘A’ port. It’s well made, and has some nice features for such a low price. Everything is magnetic with this mouse. Its magnetic top cover easily comes off to access the dongle, which is also secured with magnets. These are thoughtful details for daily use, as you can imagine that plastic clips would not have held up nearly as well over time. There is also a small button on the bottom to switch between tracking DPI to help get the best response out of the mouse on any surface. Its main buttons have short travel, but plenty of ‘click’ feedback without being loud. The scroll wheel doesn’t feel cheap and acts as a 3rd button. On Mac, its scroll direction is also correctly mapped to the macOS way of scrolling. In summary, its price and quality justifies its lack of Bluetooth support, but I’d only recommend buying this model if you know you’ll be fine using its included dongle.

    Perfect travel mouse IMO

Unboxing this wireless mouse the absolute first thing you will notice is now thin and sleek this mouse is. Now is that a good thing or bad? Well that depends on your hands and how and where you plan on using it. After using it for a while, for me personally, this is the perfect travel companion for my laptop. It is so thin and light, I can slip it in smaller pockets in my backpack and even in my protective sleeve of my laptop. The optical track scan works so well on so many surfaces, I never had any problems with the mouse skipping. Right out of the box, I love the feel of the mouse, how tactile the buttons felt. The scroll mouse also, imo, had a solid feel when scrolling. This is not a free spinning wheel, so please keep that in mind. If you like wheels that spins quickly, this is not the mouse. I really like the proportion of my mouse movement to the what the movement on the screen was. I didn't even bother to try to do any adjustments. The only negative I had was, that even though the sleek design made portability great, it didn't fit my hands well. I have regular man size hands so the mouse obviously doesn't sit in the palm of my hands. This gives me fatigue after prolong use. Another issue is that the battery and usb dongle is stored inside the mouse and to open it, you have to pry off the top cover of the mouse like a clam shell. If you drop this mouse, the shell pops open easily and you could lose the dongle or the battery. Not a big issue, but an issue. Other than that, this is a solid wireless mouse that I can easily recommend to anyone.

A Simple, Effective Mouse for Light Use

nsignia - Wireless Optical 3-Button Mouse - Black Insignia - a Best Buy product. I received the Insignia mouse mentioned above and I gave it to my daughter for her at home school computer. I use Windows PCs and I hoped it would work on her chromebook and it did and she loves it. The mouse is in a streamlined shape that it is comfortable to use. It is small and light and would not take up much room in a backpack. The mouse is powered by one AA battery. The mouse also requires a USB dongle and does not have Bluetooth capability. The mouse tracks smoothly and is fairly accurate. The best use of this mouse would be for word processing, spreadsheets, email and web browsing. I may fall short for things life graphic design. My daughter primarily uses this mouse for her homework papers, email, web research and yes she uses the mouse for playing video games on her computer. Overall, I would say for my daughter's use it works very well, and is reasonably priced. I would be reluctant to recommend it for heavy all-day use or for someone who prefers Bluetooth.

    Very Responsive Low-Profile Wireless Mouse

I was getting a bit tired of working on my laptop with a long wired mouse. It seemed that every time I made a larger move, I would get tangled up in the excess cord. It was very annoying. So, when I saw the Insignia Wireless Optical 3-Button Mouse I thought I would give it a try and lose the cord. When the Insignia mouse arrived, I hurried to unbox it and set it up. I know that the description said this mouse was slim, but I wasn't quite prepared for the low-profile of this mouse. Seeing it, I thought that I might have a problem using it, since my current mouse is high-profile and you can comfortably cup your hand around it. Still, I gave it a try. The setup was fast and easy. The Insignia mouse comes with an industrial strength AA battery, a USB-A type nano wireless receiver (stored internally) and a short Quick Setup Guide. The Insignia works with Windows 11, which is what I have, Windows 10, macOS and ChromeOS. There is a small white label on the mouse that shows you how to open the mouse's cover to retrieve the nano receiver and to install the AA battery. Simple. Even more simple is plugging the receiver into any open USB-A port on your computer and then turning the switch on the bottom of the mouse to the ON position. Voila! The mouse drivers are already preinstalled in your Operating System and the Insignia Mouse works automatically. Super simple! I now have used the Insignia Mouse for a couple of days. I have found it to be very responsive and the low profile has not been a problem for me at all. It is very nice not having to deal with a cord. I am very pleased with this mouse. Yes, I would suggest this to a friend.

    Standard mouse with internal storage

This wireless mouse has really been serving me well since beginning to use it. The slim design in jet black has been just what my portable office has needed. I typically work remotely and have always needed a mouse to add to my laptop bag and this has really been a nice add. The mouse is very thin, in fact the thickness of the mouse is less than an inch! Inside the box it comes with a USB receiver and one AA battery in addition to the mouse. The clicking of the mouse itself is not loud but rather soft which is a nice touch. The wheel is notched, meaning you can feel every increment of rotation as you rotate the wheel. Internally, the mouse has storage for the receiver. This has been something I have really liked as it reduces the change of me losing the receiver. To located the small cavity to store the USB received you simply peel apart the mouse from the side. It clicks and unclicks into place after properly removing or inputting the receiver. All in all this mouse, although thing gets the job done and ever has a nice bult in storage cavity for the small USB receiver to be placed so it does not get lost!

    Great For On the Go

I find myself taking my laptop with me for many different reasons and love the idea of having a wireless mouse to use. I do not like using the touchpad and find it too awkward. I found that this wireless mouse fits the bill. No matter which operating system you have this should work for you. This mouse is the size of an average mouse but thinner. It fits into my laptop case with ease. I do like that the dongle easily fits inside the mouse where the battery sits. I know longer have worry about finding the dongle inside my laptop case in search of the elusive dongle or untangling the cord that is attached to the wired mouse I used to carry. Setup of this mouse is very simple. All I needed to do was insert the AA battery that the mouse came with and plug in the dongle to the laptop. It has a simple 3 button layout: left button, right button and scroll in the middle. The top comes off easy to insert the battery or to keep your dongle safe which is a real plus for me. This mouse works well for simple operations and I have not had any problems with it in my daily use.

I bought this looking for a more ergonomic mouse. I got a cramp & a weird thing happened to my hand from using the regular mouse. I like that this one is more flat like Apple. Easy to use with just a couple fingers & clicks smoothly. I held all the fancy, expensive ergonomic ones & this one. Have had far less issues with my wrist & palm since using this one, worth the minimal expense to try it out!

Was looking for a simple replacement wireless mouse and found this gem. The scroll wheel has notches/catch points which gives me a better feel & control, the mouse itself has just enough weight to feel grounded, and the buttons are quiet. This mouse is very very flat, if you like the arch style, this is a pass. One of the better pc mouse for this price point.
