Customer Ratings & Reviews

I picked up the Insta360 X4, and I have to say, it’s blown me away! I’ve tried other 360° cameras before, but the X4 truly stands out for its ease of use, versatility, and incredible video quality. Image and Video Quality: The Insta360 X4 captures ultra-crisp footage with vibrant colors and great detail, even in low-light conditions. The 5.7K resolution really makes a difference, especially when viewing the footage on a larger screen. The clarity and color accuracy are fantastic, and it’s ideal for everything from travel vlogs to action sports. I was particularly impressed by how smooth the stabilization is – even if I’m on the go, the footage remains rock steady. Ease of Use: The Insta360 app deserves its own shoutout. It’s intuitive, fast, and offers a ton of creative options without feeling overwhelming. Within minutes, I was able to edit my footage, experiment with different effects, and share clips directly to social media. The AI editing features like “Shot Lab” are so cool, helping to produce effects like “Clone Trail” and “Stop Motion” that look professional, even for someone like me who’s not an editing pro. Battery Life: Battery life on the X4 is very good – I easily get through a day of casual shooting without needing to recharge. For anyone doing a lot of shooting or on an extended adventure, a spare battery might be a good idea, but for my typical day, one charge is plenty. Design and Build Quality: The design is sleek and compact, making it easy to carry around, and the construction feels solid. The screen is sharp, responsive, and gives great visibility even outdoors, which has been a huge plus when framing shots on the go. Special Features I Love: I’ve enjoyed exploring the “FlowState Stabilization” – it’s so effective that it feels like having a gimbal built into the camera. The voice control also works surprisingly well, which makes it easy to operate hands-free. It’s amazing how such a small camera can pack in so many features. Overall Verdict: For anyone looking to up their game with creative 360° footage, I wholeheartedly recommend the Insta360 X4. It’s a powerful, feature-packed camera that makes 360° photography and videography so accessible. Whether you’re an adventurer, a content creator, or just someone looking to capture memories in a unique way, this camera is worth every penny.

Pros: Incredible Video Quality: The 8K resolution delivers stunning, crisp, and highly detailed footage. The 360-degree capture is immersive and ideal for VR or creative content creation. Easy-to-Use Software: The Insta360 app offers intuitive editing tools and seamless integration for post-production, making it beginner-friendly yet robust enough for professionals. Stabilization: The built-in stabilization is top-notch, even during high-motion activities like biking or running. Compact Design: It's lightweight and portable, perfect for travel or action-packed adventures. Battery Life: The battery life is reasonable for such a high-performing camera, lasting up to 70-80 minutes on a full charge. Cons: Price Point: While feature-rich, the camera is a premium purchase and might not suit casual users with a tighter budget. Storage Demands: The 8K footage requires significant storage space, so investing in high-capacity microSD cards is a must. Learning Curve: For first-time users of 360-degree cameras, getting used to framing and editing 360 footage might take some time. Limited Accessories Included: It would be better if the package included more mounting options or protective cases. Overall Impression: The Insta360 X4 is an outstanding piece of tech for anyone passionate about 360-degree content creation, action sports, or immersive videography. It offers excellent image quality, smooth stabilization, and a suite of creative tools, making it worth the investment for serious creators. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, especially for those who prioritize quality and versatility in their gear.

I’ve used a lot of action cams over the years, and the Insta360 X4 blows everything else out of the water. The 8K video is insanely sharp, and being able to reframe footage later means I never miss the shot—even if I wasn’t facing the right direction. I use it mostly on my motorcycle and the stabilization is buttery smooth, even at high speeds. The battery life is solid, and the invisible selfie stick effect makes every ride look like it was filmed by a drone. The mobile app is easy to use once you get the hang of it, and editing on the go is fast. Insta360 nailed it with this one. If you want a camera that captures EVERYTHING and makes you look like a pro without trying too hard, this is it

I absolutely love my Insta360 camera. The video quality is outstanding, and the overall performance has exceeded my expectations. One of my favorite features is the built-in editor—it’s super intuitive and easy to use. You can connect your phone (iOS or Android) and start editing right away, no hassle. I also subscribed to the Insta360 Cloud service, and it’s been a game-changer. It backs up my videos and photos automatically, and I can edit everything straight from the app without needing to keep the camera connected to my phone. The included high-speed USB-C cable is another great touch—it allows for super fast data transfer between the camera and my computer, making the whole workflow smooth and efficient. I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase. This camera is powerful, easy to use, and totally worth the investment. Highly recommended!

[Employee of bestbuy] The Insta360 X4 is a great option for individuals who want to capture those precious moments in life where taking a picture just isn't enough. My opinion stems from my experience on my motorcycle. Setup: Out of the box, I had some initial difficulties with getting the camera set up. I wasn't able to activate the camera for some unknown reason. I checked the app for updates and didn't see any. I ended up finding a fix by downloading the latest app directly through the insta360 website. This ended up letting me finally activate the X4. Add-ons: It comes with a pair of lens covers and a carrying case. Performance: The improvement from the X3 is actually fairly noticeable. The jump from 5.7k to 8k video recording sharpens the footage and removes excessive graininess. HDR video and photo was especially good and the different "lab" options in the insta360 app made the possibilities endless. Battery life: This is where I saw the biggest difference. The X3 sports a 81 minute battery life while recording while the X4 shows off an impressive 135 minute battery life. This increase is due to the 2290mAh lipo battery. If you've ever used a GoPro or any action camera in general, you'll know that a 2+ hour battery life is insane! In 360!!! Conclusion: Truth be told, I've only had a few hours of play time with this device and can't really provide a better review, but as a previous, GoPro, Insta360 x2, and x3 owner, I can say confidently that this new iteration is an amazing value.

I bought X3 last year and swiftly upgraded to X4. Definitely worth it as bigger is better! The difference is the notable longer battery life, bigger sensor chip, and improved performance overall. After final rendering you are still left with a gorgeous clip that easily surpasses the X3's capabilities.

I started looking into 360° cameras recently and tried out an X3 for a while. The possibilities are super cool. However, I exchanged it for this new X4 due to the higher quality and additional features of the X4. The upgrade was very worth it. The list of improvements is very long. I love the AI gesture recognition to take pictures or videos hands-free. The color, dynamic range and detail is much better than the X3 in both videos and stills. You can now do 72MP photos in HDR, a huge boost from the 18MP on the X3. The camera also processes PureShot (extra high-quality shots) directly on the camera without having to load the photos into the Insta360 app and process them yourself. The detail level of video and stills also looks better in VR in 360°, especially 8K video and 72MP HDR stills – the quality is still not perfect in VR, but noticeably better than X3. One of my favorite things about 360° cameras, particularly the X4 with its great image quality and range of useful features, is that you can walk around with the camera on the invisible selfie stick and easily take photos or video without having to pay any attention to framing the shots in the moment. You don't need to pay any attention to the camera at all while capturing, it simply records everything happening all around you and lets you do all kinds of creative framing later, so it's great to use during travel and other activities where you want to stay present in the moment and not be distracted. It's a huge plus compared to shooting photos/videos with your phone, where your eyes have to remain on the screen the entire time, which really takes you out of the moment. I love this camera.

The Insta360 X4 is one of the coolest gadgets I’ve ever bought. The 360 videos and photos are just amazing. It feels like you’re right back in the moment, seeing everything around you. What I love most is how easy it is to use, not having to always worry where the camera is pointing to. The app has fun presets that let you create awesome videos with just a few taps. I didn’t need any editing skills to make something that looks professional. Whether I’m filming my workouts, travel adventures, or just everyday fun, this camera makes it all look great. If you're on the fence, trust me, it's worth it.

Absolutely blown away by the Insta360 X5! The 360° footage is incredibly sharp, stabilization is next-level, and the app makes editing super easy. Perfect for capturing every angle without missing a moment. Highly recommend for creators and travelers.

Expensive camera BUUUUT, WELL WORTH THE PRICE TAG! Great for vlogs, capturing adventures, and impossible shots you otherwise would not be able to capture. Great audio and video! Can get the selfie stick or 2-in-1 stand a record kids games or family functions! Great for most occasions period! Will get great use, very small and compact, easy to bring along anywhere. I suggest probably getting one spare battery and it should be enough battery life to give you plenty of videos and pictures! LOVE THIS CAMERA! Plenty of features to use on insta360 app as well!

The Insta360 X4 is not just an action camera; it’s a creative powerhouse that empowers users to push the boundaries of their storytelling. Its 8K resolution, unrivaled stabilization, and intuitive features make it a must-have for professionals and enthusiasts alike. If you’re looking for an action camera that delivers cinematic-quality visuals and an unparalleled immersive experience, the Insta360 X4 is worth every penny. This is not just a product—it’s a revolution in the world of visual storytelling. This camera doesn’t just capture memories; it creates them in ways you’ve never imagined.

Right now is the best 360 camera in the market, 8k resolution that is insane and the quality is the best, long time battery life.

I’ve been using this camera with my GT350R and it’s been absolutely epic. The 360-degree footage looks insane, especially when I’m carving through corners or cruising with the exhaust roaring. It handles motion really well, no blur or shake, and the stabilization is top-tier. Super easy to mount and control through the app too. If you’re into cars or motorsports, this is hands down one of the best action cameras out there. Worth every penny!

A great new camera -flying experience—excellent image quality and easy to use. Highly recommended; I am very happy with my purchase.

I use this camera for my side by side, off roading in our truck, my dirt bike while play riding and when i race. It's been under water, caked in mud, left out in the sun in the southern California desert. I've used it in freezing temps in Mammoth's winter months...SUPER COLD! I have had rocks and dirt kicked up by dirt bike tires and it just keeps on keepin' on. These cameras are indestructible....to a certain extent...lol. Don't run it over with your dump truck! Hands down these cameras are the best!! They are very well priced for what you get...BELIEVE ME! I have absolutely nothing bad to say about them. Get some, you wont be sorry!!!

I've has this for less than a month. I've used it about three times. The quality of the video is great! But, I've struggled with the editing. Haven't figured that part out yet. Takes a long time to edit and then export. Maybe I am doing something wrong. It also get very hot, and battery drains quickly...

It’s a great item. Great quality. Works great. It’s gets Clear video it’s super cool. I love the 360 I’ve used it for lots of different things my birthday party, Zoo trip, and car shows it’s so awesome 100000% recommend. Nothing has failed.

This camera is unreal for the price! I'm like a kid at Christmas with the coolest gift ever! I'm blown away by how easy it is to use and the quality. I'm thankful I can use it as a webcam as well (with the firmware update) since I needed one. Best purchase I've made in years!

As a photographer and filmmaker with way too much professional gear, I wanted to dip my feet into the world of 360 photography to see what the fuss was about and this camera seems to be the gateway to get said feet wet. I used this camera recently to a trip to Korea, mounted on the proprietary selfie stick mounted on my backpack sticking out a foot above my head. I bought the audio adapter so i could attach a wireless mic attachment and mic'd my co travelers as we walked through the streets of seoul and to the countryside. I was able to turn on the camera and shoot at will with my phone and adjust the direction of the camera and also edit the direction of the camera later, which is a pretty cool and novel way of editing a one take shot. Also worked great as a single cam on a carmounted shoot where I could "cut" or pan between the driver and passenger editing a convo. For timelapses, pretty cool gimmick in capturing sunsets and sunrises as you can rotate around to see the whole visage of the camera. As a photography tool, the 360 gimmick is pretty cool as an interactive photo on social media. The focal length and picture quality are meh, It's what would you would expect from any wide angle go-pro like device. Color adjustments to be made later in post. My single criticism of this relatively affordable device is that I didn't wait long enough for the X-5, which I am reading is far better shooting in low light situations. I imagine this would be heavily discounted soon, so that maybe the only pro compared to the x-5

I was debating on getting this camera for a long time. I do already have a Sony ZVE 10 Mark two. This is an action camera that’s not allowing me to capture more moments for my content creation on TikTok. I love this camera.
