If you bought an I series Roomba without this like I did then you are truly missing out. I bought my I7 without the cleaning base thinking that it was just a gimmick and not really worth the extra money. I was wrong! So wrong! The I7's internal bin is pretty small and I have a small crew for a family so the bin emptying was getting annoying. After springing for this I truly understand where they were going with this robot and design. This works great out of the box. No extra setup and the bags last a really good amount of time. It you want to really unlock the full potential for your I7 get this base.

As an i7 owner I loved the scheduling features allowing rooms to be vacuumed when I want. However, more often than not each room would fill the bin (cat household) so I would have to empty it each time thus devaluing the scheduling feature. Adding the cleaning base is perfection! No dust flying everywhere when emptying the bin any more. Cats unsure what to think of the loudish suction but they’ll get used to it - just been a week!

Thought i did not need the dirt removal system when I bought my i3 robot vacuum after year i got one for down stairs vacuum and it impressed me so much I bought another for upstairs. Thank you best buy and iRobot.

This is a must have if you own the Roomba. I especially love the fact that I don’t have to manually empty the bin.

The dirt bin on the Roomba is way too small for my needs (2 Labradors), and I would otherwise need to empty the bin multiple times per job, which was daily. I HATED that. It's like there's no choice. You must get this, or you will just go back to vacuuming yourself. I did have an issue where the bag was filled, but the base just thought it was clogged, so it ran repeatedly until it finally notified me that it was clogged. The procedure for unclogging it is onerous; basically requires taking the thing apart. So I'm glad it was just a full bag. It's noisy. Don't put it anywhere where noise is a problem. Luckily it runs briefly.

This has been a great addition to our already amazing iRobot vacuum; it is great not having to empty the vacuum every time and the bags in the base last a long time as well.

I've only had the clean base for a couple months, but so far I really like it! It's much more convenient having this base so I don't have to empty the Roomba after every time it vacuums. We did find the Roomba sitting off to the side of the base once - so it apparently failed to dock properly, but that has only happened once. It's fairly loud once it docs and empties the Roomba into the base, but that's understandable as it needs strong suction to empty the contents. So far we are pleased with this purchase and appreciate the time it saves us!

Having the clean base really makes scheduled cleaning much more practical, because I don't have to check and empty the bin each time after it runs, or risk having the scheduled run half-way complete due to a full dust bin. Like other reviewer pointed out it's loud (like older canister vacuum on high setting) but for me it's still acceptable.

I've had an i7 Roomba for quite some time, but every time I used it upstairs it would not clean much since the bin got full because of the rugs. With the self empty vacuum I don't have to worry about that anymore. Love it and it perfectly complements my Roomba.

This makes owning a roomba, so much better. I bought my roomba first and love it, but I was emptying the bin a lot. After buying this, it is virtually work free for me. Easy to set up and use too

I have had this product for about two weeks and I wish I had purchased it at the beginning. It works great and I do not have to empty my robot now for at least a month. I have three dogs and my floor are the cleanest they have ever been. I have the robot sweeping every other day and midnight. It saves me a ton of work.

Really nice not to have to empty the Roomba regularly! This holds many Roomba passes, and you only have to empty the tower when it is full. The only problem was with setup instructions, as in, there was nothing that said you were supposed to replace the dust collection piece on the Roomba with the new one that opens for the self-emptying process... I figured it out eventually!

This base is a must-have for your iRobot. Our i6 has a pretty small dust bin that needs to be cleaned out several times while vacuuming our main floor. With the base, we can schedule the robot to clean while we are at work and not worry about it needing to be cleaned out and completing the job after we get home. The only complaint is that it is loud, like a jet firing up an engine, which startles the kids when at home. No worries when we schedule it while out.

This is a great accessory to the iRobot. Makes cleaning the container a cinch.

The biggest hang up with the iRobot was emptying the bin because it would be full when I was at work and not be able to complete the job. This has basically allowed the iRobot to function with minimal intervention from me!!!!!

It sucks....the dirt right out of the Roomba. Instead of emptying it every day ( 2 dogs) we empty it once a week. I would have given it 5 stars but it is very loud.

Ordering was a little confusing on the website but a call fixed the issue. The power cord has to be inserted firmly. Once in operation it has only had one glitch which was fixed after the Roomba left and returned. I haven't used it enough to comment on how much each bag holds but it evacuates the Roomba after a run with a strong suction. I used the Roomba once without it and I'm very happy I got it.

I purchased this clean base along with the Roomba i6 since I already had the experience of having an automatic dirt disposal for my Roomba s9. This unit works as expected and it's very convenience since I run my Roomba i6 on a daily schedule. I still manually clean the filter and rollers but it helps a lot to have the vacuum empty itself.

If you have a Roomba i3 or i7 (i4/i6/i8) then this a must have. Having to clean out the dusty robot bin defeats the purpose of getting rid of allergens. This changed the game. Be warned, it sounds like a jet engine it only lasts a few minutes
