Cool to have an automatic vacuum working on a set schedule. Doesn’t get everything and cords can be a problem.

Too much maintenance and having to buy replacement parts. It also scratched up the legs of a lot of my furniture.

bought this for my mom and dad took them about a week to figure it out but after set it they say it works great

Works great but I would go with a higher model that have navigation and maps the room.

It cleans alright but it usually leaves a few areas unclean. I enjoy using it when I am lazy to clean.

It gets caught on everything and the moment you clear it, it's back in whatever it was stuck on. The virtual walls are battery-wasting and mostly useless. It congratulates itself at the end of every job, no matter how many times it has messed up. We nicknamed it "W" because, "Mission accomplished." Fail.

The iRobot - Roomba 690 App-Controlled Robot Vacuum Included- the iRobot Roomba, the Home Base charging unit with batteries, dual mode virtual wall barrier, 1 additional filter, cleaning brush, and a free app to download. The Roomba is packaged very nicely. It was well protected in the box. It was super easy to set up. You have to pull a yellow insert from the bottom and it's ready to go. It comes partially charged so you can use it right away. I chose to completely charge it (3hours) before trying it. Press the "Clean" button on the Roomba or in the app to start vacuuming. I've turned it on both ways and they both work nicely. In the app, you can set a schedule of what days and times you want the Roomba to vacuum. It also has helpful info, tips, and stats related to your Roomba. It comes partially charged so you can use it right away. I chose to completely charge it (3hours) before trying it. To store it, you have to find a place in your house where the home base and Roomba can be plugged in where it will rest and charge. There has to be enough clearance around it and have close access to an outlet. This vacuum won't be your primary and sole vacuum for your household needs but sure is a nice addition. It's very thorough so it takes a long time. If you're in a rush, you need to use your upright vacuum. But if you're not in any hurry and you don't want to take the time to do it yourself, this is great. I use this on my main floor. My house has an open floor plan with an office, family room, dining room and kitchen. It takes my Roomba over 1 hour to clean the whole floor. I have a 4000 sq ft house so there's no way I would bring it to the other levels and use it there. It would take 3-4 hours. I have 4 kids so it's great to clean up their crumbs and mess. It picks up most even without sweeping first. One downside is the noise It's not overly loud or annoying but it's still a vacuum. So it makes it harder to hear the TV or people talking. Another is the time it takes to vacuum, so I would recommend you do it while you're away or at night if the noise doesn't bother you. Lastly, though you might argue it's a positive, you have to pick up or move things around before it cleans. It will work around the furniture and things on the floor, but we can't leave things like Legos lying around so that it won't be sucked up. And my biggest mess is under the table because of the kids, so we have to pull out the chairs and allow room for the Roomba to get under there. The other thing to note is the care frequency and replacement frequency. I have not owned it long enough to cycle through all of their recommendations. But the replacements are quite often. So keep the maintenance in mind if that is something you're ok with. I don't exactly understand it's pattern of how it goes about vacuuming , but it does a great job. I love that I can get other things done while it goes. My kids find it amusing- we even named it. I highly recommend this iRobot Roomba.

Good product but have seen it go over crumbs multiple times without picking it up.

I thought this would make me happy but so far it isn't going well. The way this machine cleans is strange. It leaves crumbs, dust, small strands of grass (dog brings in from outside) so I have to go around the house and sweep up manually...eh...whatever. I hate taking things back, might give it away to someone who wants to take it. Not impressed at all!!!

Poor little fella kept getting lost and stuck. Not quite there yet.

Used this product for a week. Works great with the phone app. But i started noticing it will not go back to it's charging station once the job was finished. after a week of use it just kept happening. I loved the idea of having a machine do the vacuuming for you, but this just didn't work for me.

Not that thrilled with the product, I feel as though it's low quality for to high of a price.

I bought this model because they ofered 75 minutes per load. Currently is less than 60 minutes per load.

This model takes a few times before it actually cleans the house in its entirety. Don’t give up on it

spreads the dirt a lot, then picks up, lengthening the cleaning time. Look for other model

The wifi connection randomly quit working. Couldn't use after that.

This not doesn't meet the expectations setup by the marketing. The quality isn't there.

Charge last for an hour and go to diferent places without complete cleaning spot

I now know why people LOVE their Roomba, it really is not hard not to. To give perspective, I live in a one bedroom apartment with hardwood floors and several rugs of varying ply length and a very hairy Australian shepherd. Cleaning the floor is not a difficult task but more of an annoyance as it involves both vacuuming as well as sweeping the floors. With my dog, there is always a steady supply of hair build up so you really can’t wait too long between cleanings. This is kind of the reason I went the Roomba route. I set Robby up to charge and then turned him loose and was not disappointed! The path he takes is so random you would think that there is no way that he will actually go everywhere and in anyway clean the place. But somehow, he doesn’t get stuck in a corner and is able to do a stupendous job of cleaning the place. So good that his little tray filled up quickly and I needed to empty it. What I was even more skeptical about was the stairs I have in my apartment. I expected to her a crash and find Robby at the base of the stairs, but nope, Robby was able to figure out the drop off and turn. My dog was less enthused by Robby. She sniffed it but when he took off so did she. She mostly is good enough to stay out of his way and avoid him. I let Robby run into my ankle just to make sure that if Robby snuck up on her that it would not hurt hear; surprisingly gentle. Another great advantage is that it comes with a little pillar that you can use to set a boundary where the Roomba cannot go so if you have a room you don’t wanted cleaned or want to create a safe space for your pet, you can. I will add that I do not take advantage of the schedule cleaning capabilities as I have been told stories and read many where this can be an absolute disaster for people with pets. My dog hasn’t had an accident in years, but why chance it. Overall, the Roomba 690 does a great job of cleaning the floors in your steed.
