The machine works fine, though I think it is chasing me around the house! The instructions are absolutely WORTHLESS. Search the web for videos of how to make it work. I only recommend it because though it is almost impossible to get to work via the non-instructions (including their online versions), it cleans very well.

I absolutely love my Roomba. I have two small children and used to have to sweep the kitchen every night, sometimes twice. Also, I would usually get the Kirby out once a week to thoroughly clean all the carpeted areas of the house. Since buying the Roomba this has been cut down by at least 90%. Keeps the rooms clean and tidy. I love it! Cons: Somewhat noisy. I have it run sometimes at 8:00 pm after I have put the kids and bed, and I will admit it is pretty loud. They have gotten used to it though. Another con, it has gotten caught, but on things that the kids have left out (example: headphones, long string from a toy, etc.). The good thing is it is easily fixed.

You should definitely get one right now. It works with your WiFi network, you can even send it order from a different network and the device still works. I use it in my bedroom, it goes under the bed around the corners and does a great job. It usually runs for almost an hour, I assume it could work longer for bigger rooms or houses. It's great.

I bought the roomba 690 for my wife so she wouldn't have to sweep the floors so frequently. Turns out the broom and dustpan are obsolete in our house now! After 3 weeks of use it has done a better job than my wife did sweeping and swiffering. I recommend watching it for a couple days so that you know what to pick up so it doesn't get hung up on anything. We have gotten into the habit of picking those things up every morning before we leave and the room a has worked perfectly since. I also recommend emptying the dirt bin daily at first, then you can go to every other day or so after the initial runs. The dirt will get less and less after a couple weeks. My wife loves it, plus we added it to our google home so it can be turned on and docked with voice commands!! I named it my wife's name so I could tell google to have her clean!! Like I'm the boss or something hahaha!! Lastly if you have a compressor I would recommend blowing the filter out at least once a week in addition to emptying the dirt bin and cleaning the brushes after the first week.

The vacuum function works OK. Took me some time to figure out how to pair up with my mobile device. Turned out that my device needs to switch the Wi-Fi settings to connect to the Wi-Fi network provided by the vacuum in order to pair up with the vacuum. A vacuum can provide a Wi-Fi network? Yah, right! That's a little surprise to me of the what the Internet-of-Things can do these days. Or, maybe the instruction need to be clarified better. The vacuum does not support pattern sweeping though, even after pairing up with the mobile device and using the control app. The vacuum just changes direction upon bumping to obstacle, like a bounce ball. But it seems to able to cover the designated area. Maybe that's good enough for some buyers, whereas other buyers like me may have higher expectation. It would be nice if the production description have more detail about what this vacuum can or can't do. Or, maybe someday there's an control app update that can provide the enhancement like designating a sweep pattern, so that the vacuumed carpet looks like having a job done by a real professional.

I'm going to start by saying I'm a lazy guy and I work about 90 hours a week. This thing is perfect for a guy like me. If you bear in mind that it will not get 100% of dirt up than you will be in luck. There will also be an initial period of finding what obstacles this thing is going to run into, once you clear all those things become pretty great. I have all hardwood floors and my house has a dirt drive way so yeah I track in a lot of loose dirt. I turn this thing loose once a week or more and it pretty much manages all of it well. It is a bit frustrating at times when it sucks up all the electrical cords and what not but it's pretty good for me.

I definitely recommend the Roomba. Keep in mind this product is not designed to deep clean like a standard vacuum. We use daily to make deep cleaning easier and less frequent. Make sure you stay up on cleaning. If you have pets make sure you follow the recommendations of cleaning after every cleaning. You will notice a big difference.

This is a very nice product to have for the house it does what it's supposed to do and it evens tell you when the bin is full and need to be changed and you could schedule cleanings during the week and I have a battery charger on your phone tell you how much battery I have left I think that's pretty nice

Have 2 dogs, a cat, and a toddler, this became a no brainer. Can control from your phone while not home and keeps our house clean. Ultimately just paying for the convenience, but it allows our floors to stay clean everyday when we don’t have time. Got on Black Friday, so the price was too good to pass up compared to other models

I like the roomba because it cuts down on daily cleaning but it often gets lost, stuck or the battery dies which causes us to look for it. We don’t have the internet so some of the features that help with these issues aren’t available to us. Over all it does a pretty good job if run every day.

Let me start by stating I didn't know what to expect. Overall it does a decent job, but despite vacuuming the same areas each day on a schedule it does randomly decide to get stuck places that it encounters each day. I don't understand why some days it gets stuck and others it doesn't....

I gave two Roomba 690's as Christmas gifts to my daughters. They were excited to use it. The reviews were good and sounded like it's a good tool to have if you have pets, which they do. The girls say it is a little noisy but they can run a cycle when they are away from home, through the app, which they like. It makes life a little easier and they (and the pets) got used to having it around really fast. They are still trying to figure out the path the vacuum wants to take and why, but say they can close it in a room, if that's the area they want it to pay attention to. It fits under the couch, where the dusty hairballs tend to hide! This was absolutely one of the best gifts I have ever given.

Simple instructions for setting up. Plug the "home base" into an outlet, place the Roomba on top of the charging contacts. Find your phone, download the app and setup the WiFi so it can be controlled via the app . For WiFi set up, press two buttons on the top of the Roomba and it syncs up to you WiFi. Once it has fully charged, it can start to learn it's route and the house. The Roomba can get into corners and fit under most of my furniture, except the couch. It goes under my beds, dressers, kitchen table, the dining room table and my office desk. It was worth the price....less sweeping and vacuuming. Definitely a good purchase.

I didn't expect to love this Roomba as much as I do, it completely blew me away! At first I was skeptical about it working or maybe that it wouldn't clean the whole area but it does! I recently moved into my house and it was covered with dust and dirt, so I put the roomba in and it took care of all the floor!

Absolutely love this!!! I have an older model of the iRobot but this model is a little more hitech and loaded with some added features. Performs wonderfully and a must have. I just took out all the carpets in my house and replaced it with the dark hard wood floors. So after reading reviews online and talking to a friend who owns a Roomba, I thought I would give it a try. Now I love it and glad I brought this one which I can control it with my phone.

We purchased this roomba to help us clean up after our dogs. It works great. It picks up the pet hair with ease. It took sometime for it to figure out the layout of the castle but now it’s got it down. It’s also a good conversation starter. The other day it gave me great stock advice. Highly recommend!

I received this as a gift for Christmas. With 3 cats and a dog, I’m always vacuuming up pet hair, litter or dirt my dog brings in from going out. My Roomba makes this much easier to keep up with. I love that I can set it and go. It’s wven Alexa compatible. The first time I used it, I couldn’t believe the amount of per hair it got off our carpet. I do have to empty the bin at least once during a cleaning cycle. It can get stuck under things every now and then which is no big deal. Just move it and continue on. I find it weird that it cleans in a non patterned way and just goes crazy routes but, it still cleans amazing!
