I bought this Bluetooth connection first. Then I bought another one online as a backup. This beats the other one in all ways except volume. This device has consistently worked since I bought it. The first thing I recommend is to never actually turn it off unless it desperately needs a reboot. It goes to sleep when it loses it's connection to your device. One quick click and it reconnects automatically no need to turn it off/on. I can run it all day (about 8 hrs) without a recharge. If you need to recharge you can do it while using it. Power hot swaps in and out without losing connection or interrupting your music. There is some background noise while charging but you can only hear it when you have the sound cranked way up and there is no actual sound being streamed. I find this convenient when jumping from one vehicle to another (Work related) if you carry it with your device nearby you don't have to reconnect each time you plug it into a different Aux connection. Just push it once to pause and again to start playing again when you are ready. As others have pointed out the volume may seem low. In some systems this is a disadvantage. Newer equipment has an Aux boost you can use to compensate. Works great in my car but not so much in my truck, which I have to crank way up, but it still works. I enjoy this and think it may actually be worth the price.

My car, I found after I bought it, is Bluetooth capable, but does not have it installed. Until I found this product, everything I’ve seen has been bulky and pricey. BluJax is small, lightweight, easy to use, and does not deteriorate sound quality. It’s a great solution if you have a basic need.
There are some drawbacks which show the differences between this product and more elaborate/expensive products that fully integrate with your audio system. You cannot use this product for hands-free phone conversations; it is strictly to stream audio to your stereo from your mobile device. Also, the battery life leaves something to be desired. Mine dies about every other day. True you can leave it plugged in while using it. However, I’ve noted fed that doing so causes a loss of stability in the audio jack as it is not designed to hold that much weight, so I’ve stopped doing that and just bring my BluJax in at night and charge it overnight.
Definitely a great solution to my problem tho!

I read a lot of reviews before I purchased this. I think it works great! A lot of people said they had to crank their volume all the way up and it was still too low. That could be a compatibility issue or system-dependent issue. For me, there was maybe a 2-notch difference in volume. With my phone volume set all the way up (Samsung GS6 Edge Plus), I may have the volume at 15 on my radio with the cord and at 17 or 18 with the BluJax unit. So the difference was minimal for me. I still get great bass and treble. It was very simple to connect to my phone via bluetooth. Takes maybe 20-30 minutes to charge from completely dead to full. I cannot accept/place calls on this unit. That's the only thing I wish was available. But I usually use a bluetooth headset anyway so it's not a big deal.

Surprisingly better sound then all the old radio type connectors or tape deck connectors. Holds a charge pretty well and the only downside is the volume is just a little limited. Overall very happy!

I bought this to use at work when I'm on the road and use it in my own car as well. Super easy to use! I almost always plug it in and charge it over night and it always works great for at solid 6+ hrs. 3 things to keep in mind,
1. I need to be extra careful and put in my pocket if I take it out of the car. Due to it's shape, I find it too easy to drop. (If it was sold with or made with a rubber anti-shock ring I'd be super impressed)
2. If I'm in and out running errands, I sometimes lose the bluetooth connection and am forced to disconnect and reconnect the bluetooth connection on my iPhone 6 and power off and power on this device. Happens occasionally - not a lot, but sometimes.
3. I have an Alpine head unit w/ a 250W amp. When I used an aux line to connect my phone to the Alpine head unit my max volume setting would be "19" (max is 31 or 32) With this device I most often use a volume setting of 23-26 to get the equivalent of the "19" with the aux line.
When I use it in my work vehicle ('15 Tahoe stock stereo) I turn the volume between 3/4 and max and sound quality is great. I have used it in a '13 Tahoe w/ stock stereo and it is VERY hard to hear anything.

I usually just plug my phone into an aux cord then into my stereo and have ruined multiple aux cords and aux ports on phones and MP3 players. Finally decided to get a Bluetooth device and I'm not disappointed. The battery lasts a long time while making road trips and even if it gets low, it comes with a supplied charging cord and charges quick. I've connected multiple devices to the Bluetooth, and have never had an issue. Only slight issue I have is that the music plays slightly quiter than it does when using an aux cord. Other than that this works awesome. Would definitely recommend it.

Great product to use to add Bluetooth to a old radio which doesn't support it. Easy to install, Just plug it into the AUX port. If it doesn't fit the package comes with a extender cable. Only downside is Pairing is cumbersome.

Awesome invention for people who prefer no strings attached! Great sound transfer. Easy connect. I ended up returning this ONLY because you can't talk through the Bluetooth when you answer the phone. So while driving I still have to hold my phone and that defeats my purpose. BOOOOOOO! Other than that this is an A1 product!! Great buy!

I only like the size fitting in nicely to my dashboard with just the button sticking out and it does last a while if I have to unplug the charger. Everything else is terrible when I get into my car I have to play with it and my phone multiple times to get it to work. I'm contstantly hitting the button and turning my Bluetooth on and off just to get it to connect.

Easy Bluetooth Fix, but....

It was a quick and easy add-on to make my car stereo into one that can use Bluetooth. It connects with no problem and you can Start/Pause and skip songs on your device by just the push of the single button on the device. It is compact and easily hidden. It is inexpensive also.
The bad part of this device is that you still end up having to look at your phone or device to see what song is playing, the device is powered by a battery which you have to recharge since it doesn't have a power button and dies often, you can't play a song again without doing so on the device itself, and it fragile to where it can have a short in it to where the sound only comes out one side of speakers.
Its good for a quick easy fix, but if you plan on keeping the stereo you have, the best thing is to get a bluetooth device the connects directly to your stereo where you can control the music from the stereo controls.

Buy this if you want an easy, no chord option. It is very easy to set up, and does not require much room. Just plug it in and you have a connection from your music on your phone through your stereo. Works great with iPhone.

I️ recently got an 8plus and as many people might know the 3.5mm hole is gone. Nor does my car have Bluetooth so I️ was forced to choose between listening to my music or charging my phone a lot of times until someone told me about Bluetooth adapters. Anyways overall good product I️ just hate how you have to charge it it’s kind of inconvenient because I️ always forget to BUTTT because I️ only drive to work which is about 4 miles away the adapter fully charged lasted me a week and a half so that’s a MAJOR PLUS

Quality is great sound wise. Much better then an aux cord. I’ve had it 3 weeks so far and it has yet to die if you charge it every few days. Quick connection too

Cheap and easy way to get bluetooth streaming (Spotify) from my android phone to my older car. Plugs in directly to aux on the front face of my alpine deck. Pairs easily and sounds great. It also comes with a short 1/8 cable you can use. I'm not 100% sure but I think it stays on even when you power down your car so I try to remember to turn it off first. Limited controls with the one button (on, off, pause, and double tap to skip track) but it's all I need.

Works perfect with my aux plug in glove box. Size makes it nice and discreet unlike some of the other options. Actually, music plays better through this than my decent quality aux cord did. Only negative would be can't use with phone calls. Battery life is decent. Recommended.

Solid bluetooth receiver for the money. I wouldn’t call it high end since it basically has play and pause, but no other features. Sound quality is good and have only had 1 issue with linking in the several months I have owned it (I use an iPhone 7+). If it fails to connect just tell your device to forget connection and reconnect it. Doesn’t charge and play at same time. Meets my expectations for a $3X.XX purchase. You can find more elaborate bluetooth devices, but if you just want to be able to play music over aux in, this will do it.

Originally I was going to buy a new stereo deck for my car to have Bluetooth connection to my phone. Aux cables were constantly tearing up and were very annoying. Then I found this handy device which didn’t cost much and works great with my iPhone. The device plugs directly into to Aux port in my car and gives me the ability to stream from my phone. You do have to charge from time to time but still better than having an AUX cable
