Horrible Sound Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased these on a sales associate recommendation (he had a pair and loved them). I returned them as soon as I paired them with my phone. The sound quality was that of a tin can. I listen to podcasts most of the time and they were not even good enough for that. I ended up buying the wireless Beasts by Dre and I can't believe how good these are. They were on sale for $120 (normally $200) and I got a better product and some money back.

Jaybird X2 - Great Wireless Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.... but hard to improve on what is already great. As a owner of many pairs of headphones, I believe the Jaybird Bluebud X (1st generation) earbuds are, or should I say were now, currently the best set you can buy in terms of wireless quality and sound. There are many cheaper Bluetooth sets available, from recognized brands to ones I had never heard of; however, you truly get what you pay for. I should know as I have a drawer full of them where I bought on sale or through a vendor promo/discount code. Needless to say, when the Jaybird X2 was released last week I was excited. I searched all over the internet for updates and reviews but it appeared that Best Buy and Jaybird were the only places you could buy them. The Jaybird website gave you some highlights of the new Jaybird X2 product but it did not have a place for feedback from its customers. This in mind, I could only rely on Best Buy reviews as no one, and I mean no one, had anything posted on the Jaybird X2 product a week ago. It took awhile but finally some reviews started showing up on Best Buy. As you are reading this review I am sure you already know that Jaybird products get high reviews and rightly so. However, they come with a premium price as well. So here is my honest testimonial/review, as well as recommendation. Like Apple iPhones, sure, you could upgrade for the sake of having the latest and greatest. But if you already own a pair of Jaybird Bluebud X (1st generation), I do not believe it is worth upgrading unless your current pair is falling apart or having issues. Sound is slightly improved, and I do mean slight (slightly deeper bass), but again, the Bluebud X earphones sound amazing already. Keep in mind that the Jaybird Freedom Sprint model is noticeably inferior in terms of sound compared to the Bluebud X and X2 models. Which is also why they are much cheaper, despite also having good reviews. If you do not already own a pair of Jaybird Bluebud X (1st generation) and are considering them, you have a couple options. 1) Buy the Bluebud X model for a slight discount since the X2 model just came out. 2) Buy the current X2 model at full retail price. Keep in mind that the Bluebud X model rarely ever went on sale prior to the new model release of the X2. Also, keep in mind that there is only a slight discount on the Bluebud X model for a reason- the sound is very similar to the X2 model. In my opinion at least. As a side bar, I recently ordered the memory foam Comply ear tips ("isolation" model ear tips) that were specifically designed for Jaybird, which are also included with the X2 model packaging; however, they are the "sport" model ear tips. So if you want, you can also buy the Comply ear tips separately to use with the Bluebud X model (about $15 depending on type) since they are not included with the packaging. But it is noted that you do get the re-engineered wing attachments with the X2 packaging, as well as two sets of ear tips (silicone and memory foam) vs one set (silicone only) with the Bluebud X model. I own all three Jaybird models: Freedom Sprint, Bluebud X and now X2. I have done side-by-side comparisons personally, as well as my fiance, who has impeccable hearing mind you. We both reached similar said conclusions. Overall, independently I give this product (Jaybird X2) 5 stars. However, if you are looking to upgrade I would take the above into consideration. Sorry for the long review but I thought I would pass along my research/review for what it's worth.

Best Quality Sounding In ear headphone..Dont miss
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Studio Quality sounding..Bass head don't dig into it...Nothing for you in it...it's flat sounding earphone...it's very light though ear can is little big...you have to play with it for perfect fit...it's little annoying but worth doing it..Once it's fit perfectly no looking back...Foam tips are plus point...Never knew Bluetooth earphones can sound so crisp and clear. Really happy with purchase...

Good Ear Buds, but wont replace my Bose Freestyle
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There are two times a day when I use headphones, running and when going to sleep. I have been using Bose Freestyle (Approximately $115) to do both. I wanted to get wireless ear buds for convenience. I liked what I read in the reviews about the Jaybird X2. After having a good set of Bose, I knew I would be picky about the quality of music and I was going to have to buy expensive wireless ear buds to even get close. Jaybird X2 were expensive ($179) ($230 after taxes and Best Buy warranty) so I bought them knowing you get what you pay for. The packaging was impressive. The quality of materials and build were excellent. Even the charging wire is thick and looks indestructible. One look and I knew that these will last a long time. Instruction manual online was easy to get to and very easy to follow. Set up was super simple and it paired with my Iphone in 4 seconds. It charges quickly and holds the charge for 8 hours of play time. I like the indicator light. There are 3 sizes of foam inserts, rubber inserts and wing fittings. It took me awhile to find the right combination that sealed well and feel secure. They fit very good, but not as good as the Bose. Take into consideration that the biggest advantage is that there is no wire to deal with on the Jaybird. The music is extremely crisp and clear, unlike anything I’ve experienced. Since I listen to rock when I run, it almost sounded too good. The base is okay, but I miss the thumping power base of the Bose. I missed the tiny bit of distortion I am use to. It sounded too clean, However; I appreciated The precise quality sound when I listened to softer music to go to sleep. The only advantage the Bose had over the Jaybird when going to sleep is that I could lay on my side. The bose are so comfortable that I can lay my ear down on the pillow, unlike with Jaybirds on. Other than that, the Jaybirds are better to wear when sleeping because they are wireless and dont have to have the phone on me. I will be using the Jaybird when working around the house and for falling to sleep sometimes. The controls work good for volume, going to the next song and answering the phone but take some time to get use to. The controls are almost user friendly. The controls on the Bose are slightly easier to use, I only gave 3 stars because when I go for a run, I would rather use the Bose and put up with the wire. When I work out, I want to Rock out! Yes the sound of the Jaybird is so dynamic that I am really liking them, but not for their intended purpose; they are sport head phones, so I am rating them as sport head phones. Conclusion: If I never had the Bose Freestyle head phones I would have rated the Jaybirds higher. They have superior sound for relaxing music. They cost about $70 more than high quality head phones that have a wire, so I would recommend these only if wires are really getting on your nerves and have some disposable income.

Awful fit
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought these after my Jabra Sport Plus headphones stopped working after two years only because I got caught in a rain storm. Bought the jay birds to save money. I watched all the videos and could hardly get the ear buds to stay in my ears for a run. After a few weeks I returned them, bought Jabra Sport headphones and couldn't be happier with them. They lock into your ears perfectly.

Better than the Bluebuds X
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Literally got these into the store today, and I ended up returning my Bluebuds X's for these. Right off the bat, they sound 10 times better. There's much less cracking at low volume, and the bass is noticeably better, and pretty good for them being bluetooth earbuds. I compare these to the LG Tone Ultras, as I owned a bunch of those for a while, and only came to Jaybirds because the LG's kept breaking and I kept having to return them. These almost rival the Ultras in sound quality, and the build quality feels really good. I'm really impressed that they give you 2 of each size in earbuds, traditional and a foamy type one that I have yet to use. As of now, my only complaints are the case, while it is bigger than the bluebud x's, it's not a clasp, but friction fit. Also, the crackling is still present, but lower volume levels sound miles better than they did. All in all, definitely an improvement and able to justify the price jump.

It is an improvement
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I like to use bluetooth headphones to watch TV from the safety of my treadmill, and I found the Jaybird headsets were one of the few that would actually block out the noise of the treadmill itself with the added bonus of not being too loud as to leave my ears numb after the run. Alas, I could not get the BlueBuds X, the predecessor to this model, to remain in both ears at the same time when vigorous running was happening regardless of the numerous attempts at adjustment. I decided to give this new Jaybird model a chance, and it worked just fine. It stayed in place, the TV volume was tolerable, and the treadmill noise bothered everyone else in the house but me.

Horrible headsets
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They do not live up to the hype: They do not stay charged for the amount of time advertised. They do not reach the range advertised. They started malfunctioning after less than 2 months. They stopped pairing with my phone. You will eventually be disappointed. I read reviews but still decided to try them. Thank goodness I bought insurance.

Not Sweat Proof
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased these product and after charging over night they died 15 minuets into my jog. I thought maybe they didn't charge correctly but when I returned home and plugged them in they would not charge. Over 100 dollars for this product for them to die in 15 min is just ridicules.
