If you already own the x2 and it works it's prob not worth upgrading now. But it is smaller and lighter. Sound is similar. Nice to be able to adjust eq with the app. The ear bud attachments do come off a little too easily so that is a little annoying so keep that in mind if you lose them often. Otherwise with the right size it fits snug in your ear.
