I've read and seen tons of reviews on the jaybirds x3 all positive.here's the truth they are great for music and that's all. They are terrible for phone calls, the Bluetooth range is ridiculously bad and the battery life is a little less than eight hours. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THESE.

      Hi Wb77,

Thank you for your feedback with the audio quality of the Jaybird X3. We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the phone call feature and Bluetooth of the buds. This is not the behavior nor the performance we expect from our product. We can definitely assist you and recommend that you send us an email at [email protected]. We will do what we can to help improve your experience.

Also, we strongly suggest users to perform a factory reset on the buds then have it paired to a second audio source to check if the issue persists.

      1. Turn headphones off
      2. Put in Pairing mode (hold middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says, ""Searching for your Music Device"")
Headset will flash red and green
      3. Do Reset (double tap the power button)
Headset will flash Orange 3 times
      4. Delete Bluetooth profile from phone
      5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure Jaybird x3 is a very powerful earphone to some, but I wasn't too please for my first time experience. I own too many pairs of Beats headphone and wanted to try something new. And for someone who naturally loves music, I expect to good BASS to enjoy my music. I was already annoyed connecting it to my phone just to realize that the bass was terrible, then I was even more annoyed downloading the app to adjust the bass, treble and etc. I brushed the problem aside and was willing to work with it. However, I decided to return it back once I had difficulties connecting it to my apple watch. Once it was connected, the music started automatically lagging. It'll pause and play by itself and then completely stop. That annoyed me, so I decided it wasn't worth keeping anymore.

    Better than the Freedoms

After trying several sets of Bluetooth earbuds I founds the ones that fit my needs. 1st let me say I have AirPods which are outstanding but don’t block out noise and I’ve had the freedoms which I gave my daughter and a pair of Sony nc headphones. I use the x3,s for the gym and cutting the grass because 1) they sound outstanding 2) they isolate the sound 3) they are lightweight and 4) the battery life. I used the comply foam pads that came with the set and they are very comfortable. I now will use those instead of the silicon ones that most buds come with. At the gym it blocks out all the noise from machines, grunts and overhead music. I love the app as it allows me to customize the sound settings. I have an iPhone, iPod and Apple Watch that pair up everytime. I usually get a few days at the gym before I charge them and the pods do let you know what the battery life is like when you turn them on. These are excellent pods that sound amazing don’t sweat and stay in place when working out. I don’t feel them pull like the freedoms did and you don’t need the extra battery pack to get 8 hours of battery life.

Sound was "ok", kept falling out of ear even after I tried all ear buds and fell off neck when wearing. The foam earbuds did stay in the best out of all. Fell off and did not realize it, now i have to buy another pair of headsets. I will not try these again, so the search continues.......

The headphones don't fit comfortably. I had to change out the standard ear buds with the foam buds just so they could fit in my ear. The sound quality is ok, but these headphones are not noise canceling (as advertised). Also, the microphone picks up a lot of background noise .

    Terrible headphones

I tried the headphones the night I purchased them and tried again the next day. The only reason I didn't return the headphones is because I am totally against returning anything that is used or not broken. My wife is still beating me up for not returning them. They were missing one cover for the ear piece, they will not stay in my ear, no support for positioning. Just terrible! I would not recommend anyone purchase this product. I even paid more than I paid for the headphones I had prior thinking the more expensive maybe the better. I had to stop on the road while traveling to purchase a different pair from the AT & T store that were comfortable. I am an avid buyer at Best Buy, but this is no doubt the worst product I purchased in a long, long time.

I purchased these Nov 1st, and they died on Nov 25th. The sound was great and the app is also a great function but the music cuts in and out often. Not sure if I will purchase again with the credit I received from the return.
