Worked pretty good until it didn't
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.First of all, I should say I'm a heavy user. I'm constantly training for marathons and other long distance races so I did put the Jaybird X3 through a lot. I was pretty happy with them - decent fit, great sound, ok battery life. There is nothing in the market out right now that's perfect in my opinion, so again I was pretty content with them. However, about 10 months in, the left speaker stopped working. Also, right before that, I had some minor charging issues. I'm disappointed that they didn't last longer. Prior, I used the Plantronics backbeat fit, and those lasted me a little over 2 years before finally giving out. I would think the Jaybird X3 being much newer would have lasted about as long or longer. NO SUCH LUCK! I called Jaybird Customer Service and they are sending me a replacement pair - that's the good news. The not so good news is that it's now been 2 weeks and I haven't received my replacement pair yet. When I called today to check on the status, they informed me I had to return the defective ones first before they could ship the new ones. No one ever explained that to me, on the phone or via email so I'm obviously pretty upset. In conclusion, if you're a heavy user like myself, you may want to get a protection plan from Best Buy just in case they're no longer under warranty - it'll be well worth it...and I usually stay away from those plans. Lastly, SHEESH - when can we expect the perfect wireless earbuds? C'mon people!!!

The best so far
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I felt compelled to write a review since I leaned on them so heavily before my purchase. Full disclosure, I owned the x2's and did not like them. Before sweat finally did them in, i found them hard to fit right, and frustrating to use. Luckily, all that was fixed with the x3's. I use these at the gym and for cardio. Battery life is a solid 7+ hours and the fit is just right with the foam ear buds (no ear wings necessary). The controls don't bounce around my neck at all either and I feel these are pretty much sweat proof as promised. The sound is also awesome. Very comparable with a beats sound signature, but better in my opinion. The app to control the sound profile is also top notch. Overall very happy and would do it over again.

Stop your search!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are it! So many Bluetooth headphones are terrible, but at this price point, you'll be hard pressed to find any pair that's better than these. Beautiful balance of lows, mids, and highs. You get powerful bass without the pressure on other frequencies. Lightweight with excellent battery life! If you're on an iPhone, you're golden. Don't fall for the W1 chip gimmick. I'm a musician , and I love my music on these!!

Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had high expectations for these headphones but yet again was very disappointed with the longevity of these. Already been through three sets, they have a issue with holding a charge. If you overcharge it by even 30 minutes it will screw up the battery, and will not hold a charge. I've owned every set Jaybird has put on the market, these are the best overall out of all of them. The sound is great and when the battery is charged properly they last all week. I use them for running in the over ear configuration and they do stay in my ear when properly fitted with included ear pieces. I would say to try something different or make sure you purchase the geek squad protection as I have returned these 3 times.

Excellent sound and minimal size
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! These are the fifth set of Bluetooth earbuds I tried in my search for wireless earbuds that are wireless AND sound good. Apparently that's hard to find. I finally found them! The last ones I tried were the LG Tone. They actually sounded pretty good but I didn't like the design - wearing that plastic "necklace" just seemed weird. These Jaybirds are great! They come with three different silicone earbuds and three different foam earbuds plus multiple ear hooks. Only drawback is the proprietary charging dongle. It's small and easily lost if you aren't careful. Sound is the best I've heard in a Bluetooth headphone. Battery is heading toward three hours right now and battery reading is 45%. Excellent earbuds. These are the ones to get!

foam rips and can't connect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok so starting off I'm not writing this review to hate on the x3's I actually love them, also taking the time to use them over the past month. It's more of a love/hate relationship because as for the sound quality I think they are incredible. Other than that you have a great range of custom options in the MySound app and in physical features (buds/fins/length). Now on the the cons of this item and the first one being in the foam tips. I have only had the product for a month and am currently using the smallest ear tips and they have already ripped on both sides. I would say i take very good care of them and always keep them in their case. I don't wear very tight pocket pants so i don't think it has anything to do with them being in my pocket. I'm not going to complain too much because i don't know any other earbuds that offer foam tips so i would get the plastic type ones anyways. Other than that the next problem is the connectivity. This one is a little more annoying. Usually i will not turn off the earbuds because any time i turn them off for extended periods of time they won't connect to my phone anymore. I'm not sure if this one has to do with my phone(Galaxy Grand Prime) or is just general to the x3's. It does not effect my battery life as much but still i don't think this should be a problem on a $130 pair of "Bluetooth" earbuds. Now overall i still think this is an amazing product because it does offer that amazing range of sounds and quality which is what i was mostly looking for. As well it does serve my needs and still connects to my phone so long that i'm within a reasonable range. I think after i switch to the silicon tips my problems that become manageable. I would recommend this product for anyone looking for portable very clear/comfortable earbuds!

Best headphones so far!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I couldn't wait till this arrived, I saw a bunch of videos on youtube comparing it with other wireless headphones. Simply this is the best of the jaybird line. the sound is just incredible, and with their awesome app, you can do wonders!! you can choose from ready settings or even customize it to your own fit. what i really love about this is the way you can wear it using the clips to shorten the cord and hang it from above the ear. it took about 10 mins to get used to the fit, but once it felt like a natural fit it was pretty awesome how it laid out, especially for someone who is doing intensive exercise and movements. it just sits there. I only had it for 2 days now so i'm still exploring. Will probably update this review if i can later on. 1 minor issue with it so far is the connectivity of bluetooth; the connection gets disturbed when the phone moves a lot like when riding a bike! but I am still testing this to see if its a constant thing! maybe it is still getting used to my devices!

We are sorry to hear that your Jaybird X3's ear bud does not work and we'd like to help. Please send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of to improve your experience.
Kindly try a Factory Reset. Here are the steps:
1. Turn headphones off
2. Put in Pairing mode (hold middle button for 6-8 seconds until it says, ""Searching for your Music Device"")
Headset will flash red and green
3. Do Reset (double tap the power button)
Headset will flash Orange 3 times
4. Delete Bluetooth profile from phone
5. Put headphones back into pairing mode and connect them to your device.
Test out the headphones and let me know if you’re still having issues.
1. Try a different music app
2. Disconnect audio sources, other bluetooth and 3rd party apps; delete earphones from the Bluetooth list
3. Try different audio sources/phone (other brands, other OS versions)
Verify if you get voice prompts on both sides/ears. Thank you.
