So I've tried a ton of wireless headphones and lean on the pursist side of audio. I've tried JBL, Bose, Sony, Beats X (which I love but weren't loud enough). These Jaybirds are awesome. I listen to music loud since I paint for a living I want to block everything out and jam, your not going to get your 8 hours of play time but these still kick butt! And with the app and can literally fine tune these anyway you want, and when I say fine tune I literally mean it, u can change anything tuning wise which is awesome, better then any other brand I've tried, highly recommend A+++

I bought these 2 weeks ago. Great sound, only have to charge them once or twice a week, because I mainly use them for the gym. They paired easily with my iPhone.

Took a while to find the fit, but the sound is great. No need to burn in. Easy to use. Altogether though a little heavy, took me 30 minutes to find the right fit.

I have always had line-in headphones and generally prefer over the ear one. Over the ear is just too hot for summer and are bothersome when doing a vigorous workout. My line-in decided to just stop working one day so I was in the hunt for new ones. I spent a full hour and most of my phone battery reviewing all the earphones in the aisle. The Jaybirds caught my eye in the beginning and I ended up with them. Now, these are my first wireless earbuds as well the as the first time I've used the wings. I am very glad I got them. I had to change the tips to the other foam ones it comes with because the plastic-like ones are not a good fit for me. I am, however very displeased with their instructions. They are aweful! I'm all for using pictures but the picture should have included more than just 1 if that's how they were giving g instructions. After a lot of YouTubeing and help from my BF, I finally was able to figure out how to use them correctly over my ear. Had I kept having issues and not figured it out, I was going to take them back. Glad i didnt!!! LoL They are very sweat proof, they have a great fit (once u figure out your tip size), the sound is AMAZING!!!!! The customizable sound from the app is a great perk! They cancel out outside sound like the top of line product you expect them to be. All I all, I am very pleased with them. 5th star withheld only because if extremely poor instructions!

Avoid if you're a distance runner and/or you sweat

My biggest issue with the X3s is that they shut down with too much exercise and sweating. I have gone through 4... yes, 4 pairs of X3s in the past 16 months. Sweat is the big issue; as a marathoner, I often go on 2+ hour runs, and after the 10th or 20th long run, the headphones fail to turn on. So I send them in to Jaybird, get my replacement pair, run for a few months, then repeat the process. I would say if you exercise 15-30min daily, or don't sweat too much, they are pretty ideal. Very snug, good sound, good battery life. However, it can be infuriating to invest >100 dollars in a product and have them last for less time than a Texas summer.

      Hello Nick,

We appreciate your positive feedback regarding the Jaybird X3's fit, sound quality and battery life. We are sorry to hear that they turn off. Please send us an email at [email protected] and we will get you taken care of to improve your experience.

Please try these troubleshooting steps that can help to resolve the issue of your headset's battery:

-Computers are the best and safest method, as is anything 1 AMP or less.
-Car chargers produce a much greater power supply and should be avoided.
-Over-charging the battery will quickly reduce the life of the headphones, so in addition to monitoring the power supply, limit the charge time to 2.5 hours,
-To get the most out of your battery it is recommended to charge the buds when the low battery status is indicated.
-Avoid charging your headphones after exposure to sweat.
-Make sure charging port/cradle is clear of any debris.

    Almost Great Headphones

I purchased these about 5 months ago. At first, these are by far the best sport headphones out there. Great sound, fit, and features. However, I have not been able to go longer than a month without these shorting out or malfunctioning. I sweat a lot during workouts which is why I initially bought these, as they claim to be sweat proof. I don't think that is the case, as I am currently on my third warranty claim. Also, if you charge them for 1 minute more than the recommended 2.5 hours charging time, they will just completely short and never turn on again, at least in 2 of the 3 pairs that I have had. I know I am the obvious outlier here but these should be able last longer than my $50 backup headphones, that are not sweat-proof, which I have been using for over 2 years.

I went to the store to get the x3 and in the box was the x2. I realized when i paired with my phone at home. Before i got mad. I tried them out. They're unique! I like the design and superb sound quality of the x2 so much i went back the next day to return them when I realized the x3s were on sale? I got them for less. Feels better to.. Thanks bestbuy.

    Great sound, but slightly uncomfortable

    Posted .

The Jaybird x3 are about 26.3 millimeters without a tip, the size with a medium silicone tip is 31 mm. The MySound app works well and the sound is awesome, no matter which setting. However, for me, to get the buds to stay in, I have to use the wings, it may just be because my ears are small, but after a few minutes these become very uncomfortable

    Great sport bluetooth headphones

These headphones are great especially for active lifestyle. Connection range is great. Sound quality is also quite nice. Only complaint is that the metalpart that inserts into your ear is a little large. Once you add even the smallest ear tip it can be a little large for those with small ears. (Myself specifically)

I used to have the jaybird x2 which frustrated me big time. It will just keep falling off. The new (curvy)wings and foam tips resolved that issue. I already went twice for a 5mi run and it never fell off. Thank you jaybird!

    Amazing Bass

These jaybird x3's really surprised me, I didn't think that they would be this good. When I first unboxed them and tested them out they sounded alright, but once I used the jaybird's app and tuned them to my liking and let them burn in, man the sound is really incredible, bass is good and plenty when I want it to be. And the highs and mids are all there. Comfort wise when I first put them in the wings fit me great, but the silicone ear tips didn't seal so well. Then I looked in the included bag and that's where you find the different wing sizes and eat tips. BUT there are also memory foam ear tips which are an amazing bonus, perfect seal everytime. The battery life it's definitely more than enough for me I can easily get thru the day and I haven't even fully charged them because I've been using them since I've got them out the box and I'll only charge then a bit then use them again it'll last me enough time. Some other things about these buds are, the cable is just the right length. They definitely won't fall off your ears. I was working with them on today and I have to keep bending down and moving around, and they didn't even loosen up in my ears. You hold the volume up to skip track and volume down to replay it or to skip back to a previous track. Also on your phone screen you can see how much battery you have left, and a female voice tells you when when the Bluetooth is connected, the battery percentage when it gets closer to zero, and when it powers on and off All in all these are definitely my perfect Bluetooth earbuds for only $99!

Great earphones especially for working out and even for extended casual listening. Amazing sound quality especially with Jaybird app. Only issues are battery life isn't particularly good, having to use a charger with a specific output voltage and current is tedious but is easy to get around, having to carry the proprietary charger is a bit inconvenient and there is a bit of signal cutting when jogging or exercising.

Talk about nice headphones these are great. I have been looking at reviews of these headphones they have been the best ones out there so far I have boughtt these off Amazon and I just got them today. They are really great. I can barely hear my parents talking in front of me with the volume on low because of the noise cancellation. Took me awhile to find the best earpiece and fin that suits my ear. They work perfect best earbuds ever!!!!
