I had a little trouble finding the proper 12v remote wire on my head unit. Other than that this little thing packs a punch. The lows can be adjusted to your liking and it fits perfectly under most car seats. I have a Ford econoline so i have it in between the driver and passenger seats. It rocks best with rap music and funk but I've tested it with 60's and 70's rock as well as classical and the included remote is essential when control the bass. I recommend it

2018 Double Cab Tacoma. This does not compete with my 12" Rockford in a Belva 1.8cbu ported box....obviously. HOWEVER I was pleasantly surprised at the performance this can throw out. Install fits nicely under my driver seat. And if you don't know Tacoma seats are LOW. I wish I could easily access the output to try and match the voltage going to the sub. But the adjustments that are on it allow you to tune by ear essentially to a good level. It has an overcurrent protection so you can't go balls to the wall and blow it apart. Thumbs up for that. I have 2 6x9, 2 6.5' and kicker tweeters form a 2020 Subaru STI (Tacoma thing). Powered by a Sony XG amp. And a Sony headunit. Makes a wonderful addition to my sound system. Bottom line if you want window breaking bass keep looking. BUT if you want decent bass that fills the gap your stock or aftermarket 3 ways are lacking in a small car or truck id give this a shot.

I have an acura ilx. It doesn't come with great speakers and didn't have a sub too! I did upgrade my front door speakers with the JBL GX628 which helped improve the sound and the bass but it was still lacking the oomf that we all want. Honestly, this subwoofer does the job. Is it comparable to a 2k system, no, but for what it does honestly I'm satisfied. Clean bass, not muddy and not too harsh too! It made me a happy customer and I'd recommend it for anyone who has a car and doesn't have a fancy speaker system. It's really great

This is a underwear subwoofer that I have mounted in the trunk space of a BMW x4 right behind the 2nd row seats. It doesn’t sound like I have a 12 but it does sound too good to be true from its size. My vehicle has the upgraded Harmon/Kardon sound system and this sub adds very much to the over all sounds and sounds like it’s from the factory. Very impressed

I purchased this subwoofer for a 2020 Honda Civic Si Coupe that came with the 10 speaker setup with factory sub. It has very lacking bass from the factory, like pretty much all Hondas. The Coupe has a very small trunk so I did not wish to give up trunk space for a traditional sub. This fit perfectly under the driver seat without limiting rear passenger foot room, and is slim enough that it clears the bottom of the seat even at the lowest setting, unlike the Kicker Hideaway. The first two days I regretted the install as it didn't sound as full, but after a few days, it broke in and was noticeably better and I am now very happy with it. This is definitely not for someone looking for traditional heavy subwoofer bass. This sub will fill in the missing low end and for many songs can actually be impressively strong. However certain rap songs put out too much bass and the sub has a built in safeguard that cuts the bass output to keep it from blowing. Even when this happens, it is still stronger than factory, but some may not be happy. I found that hooking it up to the factory sub output and leaving the gain at a lower setting caused this to rarely happen except on a few songs (out of 1,300 songs on my iPhone I noticed it with only 3 rap songs that had a very low frequency that was sustained throughout the song), and overall provided a very full sound that was even around the cabin. Unlike some under-seat subs, this can be felt pretty equally in the passenger seat as in the driver seat. The build quality is very good and provides an overall very good sound to complete a nice setup without really tearing apart the car's factory sound system. It is definitely worth tuning and testing it repeatedly over the course of a few days to really reach the sweet spot, as doing that made a big difference for me.

I wanted a decent sound system for my sedan. So, I replaced my old car door speakers with new speakers. For bass, I researched many brands and finally settled on JBL since I have already used many of their products. I was not let down by JBL. Together with the new speakers and the punchy bass from JBL, the sound system in my car was elevated to another level. The bass is punchy and is a refreshing companion for my long drives. I am using it for the past TWO years with no issues. I will definitely recommend JBL BASSPRO.

Easy install, sounds good for its size and wattage. Wish it had a built in clipping light to adjust gain. I’m not a professional installer so I’m guessing on many of the set up features. I hope it is playing at its most efficient output. No YouTube videos with any adjustments or setup for the final install. Maybe a kind individual would create such a video?

I wanted to upgrade my stock sound system in my 2019 Mustang but did not want to add a huge sub-woofer in the trunk that would cover the entire space. After owning several JBL products and never being disappointment I decided to pull the trigger and purchase the JBL Basspro 8. It SOUNDS GREAT. This will not give you a huge thumping bass but it does give you a nice balance of sound. I highly recommend this unit for anyone that has limited space but still want to add bass.

Installed myself on 2018 Civic hatchback. Great upgrade to the factory radio that was lacking bass. Simple install and easy to adjust. Came with a controller, easy to adjust while driving. Bought it when it was on sale, great sound for the price.

Installs super easy nice and small so it fits well in tight areas. The sound is really solid from such a small unit. Tuning is crucial for this though once that's sorted out it sounds great hits surprisingly well for an 8 overall I'm going to buy another for my other vehicle. Would definitely recommend

This JBL subwoofer is very well built with plenty of adjustments. Keep in mind that it may not fit under your seat and it really will not replace a dedicated subwoofer box with a high powered amp. I needed to still have a usable trunk in my Mustang GT convertible and the solution was to create a small port to have some of the woofer inside the boot area. I don;t need a big booming bass box, just some bottom end to fill in on some songs and send some waves to be felt in my seat. This also allowed the installer to adjust cutoffs for the interior JBL speakers because some songs were really pushing those speakers too hard with distortion. Now the Sony/JBL system plays much louder and distortion free with the top down and I can hear more bass details on many songs. RCA inputs and very adjustable . Get a qulaity amp install kit because the power is going to the battery and you don't want hum, noise or issues .

I have been a music head since high school. I was in to the big booming bass. The JBL BASSPRO 8 is not a head banger. But is really solid bass. If you looking for something that will fit under the seat and sound good this is it. Better the the 8 KICKER hands down.

I have a Tacoma, so I have very limited space for a sub and amp. There are expensive, somewhat custom solutions out there (think JL Audio stealth box at $1000+), so this is a much less expensive option. I chose this option for the Kicker "stealth" option mostly because I was also putting in a full set of JBL speakers in the truck also. I also got a great deal on the unit on Black Friday, and with TotalTech, everything gets installed free. This little unit puts out a surprisingly good amount of bass. I thought I would need a second unit, but I won't. If you want a to just add a solid good bass to your system, this will work great. If you want a whole lot of thump, then get two. When I say this thing is small, it is SMALL. It will easily fit under a seat. In my Tacoma, I had it installed in the small storage area behind one of the rear seats, and the small tub and the back of the truck help amplify the bass. One note: if the installer or someone tries to convince you to NOT install the remote bass knob, IGNORE THEM. You want the remote installed. I took their advice, and now I have to go back and have them put it in. The bass is too much if you have the car stereo turned way down; it still thumps away.

Very easy to install in a UX250H under the trunk floor near the battery with the proper posi-taps. Had to run to the front speakers due to the rears being frequency cut from the factory. Boomy if not tuned properly but once tuned the sound coming from this little guy is great. Fills out the bottom end nicely, the car already has a good soundstage and punchy mids from the factory, it was just missing this sub.

I received the sub and out of the box it’s the perfect size for compact cars. After getting together all of the hardware to make the sub function it was amazing! The hard part was getting all of the hardware other than that it’s an amazing product.

Mk…build quality and sound quality are good. But if you’re looking to upgrade your system to bump and thump LOOK ELSWHERE. This little guy as well as any under the seat/hideaway subwoofer will NOT put out enough volume to even be noticeable in the least unless you have a small old truck with no bass. Do t get this with anything higher than low expectations. Don’t get me wrong it’s well built and is alright, but it’s no upgrade.

Got this on sale- $180 bucks! Sounds pretty good, but what do I know... it's my first sub. Looked at a lot of "how to" things online before and after the install. My deal is, I have a Kenwood dash unit w/EQ, imported CDs in phone using Poweramp's EQ - the BASSPRO with it's various adjustments. A work in progress...

I purchased this sub for my 2020 Honda Civic Hatchback and it sounds amazing. I had GeekSquad install it for $120 but make sure you get the AMP kit. It also has a remote that they mounted for me that I can change the volume of the sub. 10/10 definitely recommend it.
