I really like the sound quality. I use this speaker at work, it syncs with my iPhone and shuts off if the phone leaves my desk. That usually happens when I leave for lunch or at the end of the day. When I come back I just connect the Bluetooth and push the On button and it continues to play. It works for me!

I owned 2 JBL speakers of the first generation, but this one sound even better, and the black finish is great, excellent sound, quality, battery, I really recommend it.

The jbl portable stereo speaker system worked as advertised plus it outperformed the more expensive BEATS pill stereo system in bass production and price point, my wife loves it also as any happily married man would admit that a happy wife is a happy life....

It has all the sound for its size cheaper than a bose but very competitive, i tried lots of speakers and this suited my pocket and taste great buy AND HAS A USB PORT FOR CHARGING!

I purchased this to use with iPhone and iPad. It performs as expected with no problems.

I was initially torn between the JBL Flip 2 and the Beats Pill. This was to be a B-day gift for my son. He really wanted the Flip2 and I was recoommending the Pill, so I decided to go the Best Buys and try them out for myself. The Pill is crisp and clear, which is great, but it is lacking that bassy richness that I like. The Flip 2 seemed to have some of that richness I was looking for, but there was still something missing. Then I tried out the JBL charge 2 and WOW! If you took the best qualities of the Pill and Flip 2 you get the Charge 2. This little guy has nice rich sound with clarity and great battery life. The bass baffles on the sides help the sound radiate and are just plain cool. Highly reoccommend it. My son loves it and takes it everyday with him to football practice. If you are looking for a small, portable, powerfull speaker, this is it!

My first portable Bluetooth speaker was a Jabra Solemate, which I still have. It's principally used in the bathroom during the time I spend getting ready for work or whatever. It has been a fine device, but it's sound quality was never anything to get excited about. I had been thinking about replacing it for maybe the last year and while there are a number of products out there with solid reviews, they all tend to be more money than i want to spend on something with such limited use. I had also purchased this model's predecessor for my daughter and was kind of envious as I thought it sounded noticeably better than my Soulmate. But to be fair the Solemate was an older product and I think it looked better. But this latest JBL... wow.... reviews had been solid and now I understand why. The sound quality is, in my opinion, a marked step up from my Solemate. The entire spectrum.. lows to highs... are much improved over my now relegated to the closet Solemate. (I'll find it a good home) This JBL looks good (I went with white, like my Solemate). Maintains a reasonable size (perfect for the bathroom: counter-top or on top of the towel rack). Feels solid and looks well-made. No connectivity issues or problems. But it's really the sound that leaps out. I knew my Solemate was what it was when I bought it: a $90 speaker. I got what I paid for. But at $120 I truly believe the JBL is worth every additional penny. The improvement in sound.. heck.. the sound quality stands on its own. It's easy to compare it to my Solemate, but if this were my first Bluetooth speaker I'd still be very impressed. The side-firing bass drivers really help kick up the impact of bass. The mids and highs are reasonably clear and accurate; more so than I expected. Or put it this way... why I purchased and first listened to the Solemate I was "Ok. This is fine." With the JBL I was "Wow. I didn't know a small Bluetooth speaker could sound this good." I can also report that I believe the overall quality of the mids and highs are improved by placing the speaker on one end. Or on the towel rack. There is something about the reflection of the music off the counter top that seems to muddle the mids and highs. Voices become less distinct is the biggest impact. And I don't find the bass impacted by placing it on one end. My only criticism is that it comes with a wall wart for charging. Just something to lose, unlike the Solemate which just had a straight cord for charging. If your needs are generally small and you understand that this is a portable Bluetooth speaker and not something meant to fill a bedroom with sound or have a party with, then you should be, I hope, very impressed.

First of all and most importantly, it sounds great. It isn't the loudest thing I've ever heard, but the sound is balanced. it's loud enough for what it is. Second, it looks awesome. The charging cable and wall adapter is red. The fit and finish (overall build quality) is very nice. Lastly, extra features. It charges my girlfriend's Galaxy S5 and my iPhone 6+ pretty decently. The most I've charged a phone with it was about 70% and that took about an hour. Battery life is good. I used it in my workshop for about 8 hours one day on max volume and still had 25% battery life. You can also connect 3 devices, so taking turns playing songs or a multi-user home is perfect. Answering calls on the speaker isn't bad, either. It does cancel the echo like they claim. Perfect for parties on patio or in basement! It is small so I can carry it everywhere. Bluetooth has a very good range, sound is excellent, super bassss. Very easy to pair with iPhones or Samsung android. Friends were impressed. Only one small con – I couldn’t find drivers for Windows 7 to pair my laptop but I didn’t spend too much time on this. You may want to do your research here if you want to pair your computer, to see first if there are drivers available for your OS … We’re very happy with the purchase!

The Charge 2 is a really magnificent speaker. It's slightly bass-heavy, so keep that in mind depending on what style of music you enjoy most. The max volume can pretty much fill a 2 bedroom apartment with great sound. My only con is that during metal and post hardcore genres - at full volume, mind you - the double bass pedals on drums and instruments kind of make the overall volume dip a bit, almost like it's too much for the speaker to handle. But like I said, that's at FULL volume, which you would hardly ever use. Other than that, no complaints here. Great speaker for a great value, easily connects to phones, and even has an auxiliary jack for non-bluetooth devices. also has a mic for phonecalls and such, as well as the ability to connect three devices at once so if you're with friends, everyone can have a turn.

This speaker is exactly what I was looking for. A wireless, portable speaker loud enough to enjoy my music and movies where ever I want. It was super easy to set up with my phone, tablet and computer. I think it can be set up with up to 4 devices. The speaker automatically connects with my phone or tablet when both are turned on. Also it can be connected with all devices at the same time without having to switch between devices. Just play the media you want from any device and the speaker recognizes it and plays. Sound is extremely clear, volume is loud and the bass is great. And bonus is you can charge your device through the speaker itself from a USB port in the back of the speaker for the times an outlet is out of reach. Battery life is great. Has a battery indicator to let you know when it needs charging. The one and only down side to this speaker is how the speaker sits. I think it's a little unstable and could roll over if not on a sturdy surface. Would have like if it was made to stand upright. But overall pretty dang good!

"... and then I said 'that's not a coffee mug, that's my JBL bluetooth speaker' (cue audience laugh track)." Aside from being a coffee mug's doppleganger, this speaker is pretty rad. I mean it really screams JBL (as you can see the huge 'JBL' logos plastered on both ends of the speaker.) The sound is really crisp, loud, and pleasing to the ear. The mix of highs are lows are pretty impressive as the sounds can be eminated through an entire living room. What's even better is that there is a USB port on the back serves as a backup power source for charging your electronic devices. In addition, the battery life on this speaker is quite impressive lasting up to 12 hours of continuous music playback. Overall, these speakers are solidly built, has great sound quality, easy to operate, and serve as battery backup that I would find myself bringing to a BBQ outing, picnics, or replacing my old my cassette player.

I love this Bluetooth wireless speaker. It has thumping bass reproduction and excellent bright highs! When fully charged it will last over 12 hours before needing charged again. It also can be used to charge cell phones and tablets. Got a full charge on my iPhone in about an hour while listening to music. Plenty of volume without distortion.

The speaker is really impressive. It holds charge well and it sounds very good. Bass response is very good for a small speaker. It has good definition. It is easy to use. It could be a little louder. My son got this as a birthday present because he wanted a portable speaker to use on the Football bus. We looked at one of the Bose speakers but this was the first choice. You could not go wrong with either.

I was looking for something small and portable to use around the house, garage and deck. Choose the JBL and have been extremely happy. Easy to set up - listening to music in minutes. Great sound, surprising volume if you want it. Still on the first charge of the battery. If this weren't so portable I'd buy another one for the deck.

I tried many portable Bluetooth speakers . For the price you get a lot more than the others. Battery life is great haven't charged this in 2 weeks and my friends can use without me having to reconfigure it all the time. This speaker even charges my iPad . Features wise it beats the pill speaker hands down

This device works as advertised, its loud enough and the sound is full enough to fill a few rooms. The small subs do their job delivering enough bass to fill out the sound. No issues pairing it with three different devices. Great battery also.

MY JBL is worth it's weight in gold. it shattered record with it's sound and when it fell from the second floor balcony onto a concrete floor underneath. today it still has the same great performance. simply outstanding, amazing, clear, loud and the best speaker you can find. superb!!

This is my second JBL charge 2. I bought these for my family members. I am very happy with the design and its sound. This is truly a high quality portable speaker with a very reasonable price.

This is such a handy little speaker. Works great on the deck for hours. Charge lasts a long time. I love the sleek design. Sounds awesome! Did my research before I bought and this was the best in this price range.
