The sound quality is heavy on the low end, and rather muddy. It’s OK for the money, but not for the audio quality.

Posted .We're sorry to hear about what happened. here are some troubleshooting steps for us to check your JBL Flip 5.
1. Please make sure that your source is within 10 meter range from the speaker.
2.Try pairing the headphones to a different source ex. (phone, tablet) for us to check if the headphones will have sound using a different device.
3. Make sure that Bluetooth is NOT on and connected to any device.

Had the old version and this one seems to have more emphasis on the bass which is not better with some music. The older version was more balanced musically.

It starts charging and then stops and if I turn it on, starts for 1 or maximum 2 songs and then stops working.

Posted .Thank you for your feedback. Your JBL Flip 5 might has a bad power adapter to have a problem like this. The charger may not be powerful enough to power the unit and charge the battery. Check the adapter and make sure that the rating is 2 amps or higher. Reset may also fix the issue, please follow these steps: Remove or forget the speaker from the list of paired Bluetooth devices in the settings of the phone or tablet. Then, with the speaker powered on, press and hold the Volume + and Play buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until the unit turns off.
The speaker has now been reset. For further assistance, feel free to contact our customer support.
